The worst experience was right after arrival: instead of the selected extra-paid room with a garden view, we were given an almost underground room with a view of the wall (from the door), without windows. Dark dungeon. It was possible to solve this only next day by changing the room and paying another extra fee. The reception was unable to find a potty and a high chair for the children. Hotel was clean. The main meals were excellent, the snacks could have been better. For children only overly sweetened drinks, we diluted it with water to make it drinkable. But that's everywhere... Children appreciated the heated pool. Good location. Good staff.
Good value for money but not a 4* hotel. Great location as the beach is idyllic and the locals are friendly.Room was always cleaned with friendly cleaners. However the waitresses rude and abrupt. Definitely a German/Spanish resort. If you are English you are made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome by staff and visiters.I have never experienced this before. So avoid if you want a happy holiday.
Only thing good about Thai hotel is location and kids animation. Other than that outdated hotel, terrible food and customer service. All inclusive all benefits removed soon as you check out room even if your transfer is later in evening ! Thatβs regardless of you have a small family either kids.
I am just back from a week at this fabulous hotel. The location is ideal, practically on the beach and very close to shops and restaurants. Morro Jable town itself is a very pleasant walk away. The pools are lovely and no issues getting sunbeds. There was always something going on if you want to join in but not so intrusive as to spoil a relaxing holiday. The animation team worked very hard and special thanks to Daniel who was brilliant with the children. If you want 5 star luxury then you should expect to pay for it. The Altamarena offers excellent value for money in my opinion.
Myself and my 7yr son stayed here from the 12th August for 1 week. I was slightly apprehensive because of some reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised. Yes the hotel is needing a bit of moderation but everything that matters is there. The pools are brilliant π We were in them every day. The food was better than anticipated with fresh chicken/steak or other meats and fish fried fresh not to mention the large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, other pasta and meat and fish dishes. Lots of fresh ice cream for the wee one too. The entertainment team were amazing π My son loved the young guy..He was so fun and even stopped outside to speak to us whilst we were waiting on our lift to the airport. The setting is idyllic, the team are warm and friendly, the rooms are spotless, drinks & food were good and the location and the pool scene are No.1 π₯³ Will definitely be back xxx
