This hotel is situated in a dreamlike location, directly on the 25 km long sandy beach of Playa de Jandía with wonderful ocean views. It features an excellent spa with an exclusive VIP area, a gym, pool and children's pool. A golf course is within walking distance; the delightful village of Morro Jable is within easy reach. The international airport of Fuerteventura is at a distance of about 86 km. Star Prestige customers can enjoy the VIP area with solarium, hammocks, Balinese beds, VIP room with special attentions.
Iberostar Selection Jandia. Arrived on 6th September - Room 2030. Brilliant hotel, friendly and professional welcome at check-in which lasted throughout our 14 night stay. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel for a relaxing holiday. Our room, the bars, lobby and lounges and restaurants (food excellent), were extremely clean and comfortable. Lita on reception, on a scale from 1-10 you are an 11. We will be returning very soon.
We spent 2 weeks during September with our adult daughter and had the most relaxing holiday!
The hotel is clean, spacious and modern. Our room was comfortable with good beds. The shower had good pressure. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned each day as were the pool areas.
All staff were really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
The buffet was so good we didn’t feel the need to go anywhere else to eat. Food has a different theme each day and is kept fresh, replaced and hot. We also ate at the Tapenyaki which was fun, though a little lacking in atmosphere as there was only one cooking station in use. We were all inclusive and this was excellent value. Having the additional coffee shop was great, especially if you wanted to skip breakfast and the food truck made great fruit smoothies.
The entertainment on the terrace was pretty good for a hotel. The Diamonds in the theatre on Friday nights were our favourites though.
The games and game tables are a great idea. Nice to be able to sit at a proper table and play cards. This was a popular area. There’s also a small library in reception to swap books.
We had few niggles: having to request Buck’s Fizz/mimosas at breakfast rather than help yourself, changing towels at odd times (10.15 - 4.15) and not being able to walk out from our pool level room. These really were tiny things though - just for feedback.
There isn’t much around the hotel - some shops and restaurants about half hour walk away. The hotel do their best to make up for this with their daytime entertainment schedule. We don’t usually get involved but actually really enjoyed ourselves.
Sustainability is excellent, as always with Iberostar. Edible straws, no plastic, water stations (a bit slow).
We would definitely recommend this hotel and are looking forward to returning.
I visited for two weeks along with my parents in September. The hotel is stunning, very clean and furnished really nicely.
We booked standard rooms, we debated quite a lot whether or not to upgrade to pool side rooms or even star prestige, when we arrived we honestly felt no reason to! The rooms were lovely and there are quieter areas around the pool you can set up for the day, which was our main concern.
We booked all inclusive and the food was genuinely amazing!! The buffet is so nice, there are so many options available, even on week two there were new things being served we hadn't seen before. I would come back here just for the buffet alone! We also went to the Teppenyaki which was nice and interesting evening! We actually didn't try the Al Mar restaurant, mostly because none of us particularly fancied the menu and we all enjoyed the buffet.
Entertainment was ok, not the best I've seen. They did have The Diamonds performing twice while we were there, we've actually seen those guys before at a different Iberostar in Tenerife, they're truly amazing!! Unfortunately I don't think they really advertise the theatre entertainment enough, there weren't that many people in there the nights we went. They do usually have something on outside also, it's a bit of an odd set up and it can be difficult to get a good seat for that as it fills up quickly.
There are a lot of other activities to do, we took part in the daily aqua gym, we also tried archery and I did the soap making, aloe Vera workshop and the jewellery making class which was so cool! They had a man come in from Tenerife for the jewellery making and he was great I really enjoyed that. The animation team do a great job, Alberto's aqua gym was our favourite.
The staff are all so lovely and couldn't do enough to help you. There's also no need to sign for any bills etc (if you're all inclusive) I think they just spot your wristband before they serve you. By the end of our holiday everyone knew what we wanted to order before we even ordered!!
This hotel isn't adults only, which I found a bit confusing, as there really is nothing there for kids. No kids club / kids activities / anything at all really. I think if you brought young kids here they would be very bored. The other two hotels next to it seem much more set up for kids!
If I am really nitpicking, I will say the storage in the rooms is pretty small. I was in a room on my own so this wasn't an issue but if you were sharing it's not a lot of wardrobe space, I think this is a general issue with Iberostar. Also the water dispensers are in need of an upgrade as they're very slow and some leak. I think as you have a mini fridge in your room I can't see why this can't be replenished with water to be honest, again this is an across the board Iberostar policy in their Selection brand (JOIA you get water in your room every day), rather than an issue with this hotel specifically.
I really can't recommend this hotel enough, it was an absolute pleasure to stay here and I was very sad to leave. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!
wow wow iv just returned from 10 days at the iberostar palace the staff are second to none not once did we ever to ask for anything as the staff as so attentive and can’t do enough for you i adore this place and can’t wait to get bk i have to say it’s the staff that make this place the incredible special place it is thank you every single one of you xx
We have just returned from a ten day perfect holiday at this hotel It was our second visit this year and it was superb
The food was second to none always something for everyone.. the waiters and waitresses were simply amazing so friendly polite and always smiling I didn’t get everyone’s name but idico and ana were among them
Also a massive thank you to Aliou for his excellent service and attention to detail you run an excellent team they are a credit to you and the hotel My special thanks must go to Lita the receptionist for sorting out our room !!! She is a diamond another asset to the company
