Beautiful Beach, Poor Hotel - Very Disappointing 4-Star Experience

The room cleanliness was very poor. The balcony was never cleaned during our stay, despite several requests. Housekeeping was almost non-existent, and the air conditioning could not be adjusted properly. Overall, the room did not meet the standards expected from a 4-star hotel.

The hotel is located in a quiet area and close to a beautiful beach. There are not many activities nearby, but the beach itself is definitely the highlight of the area.

Security was a major concern. Anyone could enter and leave the hotel without any checks or supervision. It did not feel secure, especially for a hotel advertised as a 4-star property. The fact that the hotel offers extra insurance for valuables raises even more questions about security.

The location is peaceful and pleasant. However, access to the beach requires going down and back up many stairs. While the beach is worth it, it may be difficult for some guests.

The buffet offered a decent variety of food, and we did not experience any food-related issues. However, the cleanliness of the dishes was unacceptable. Plates, glasses, cups, and cutlery were often dirty, had unpleasant odors, or were still wet. Finding clean tableware was often frustrating. On a positive note, the bartenders were very friendly and provided excellent service.
Noteworthy Details

The two female receptionists were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, some of the male reception staff during the evening were rude and dismissive when we asked for assistance.
Additional charges were excessive:
€10 deposit per beach towel. €1 fee for every towel replacement. €20 deposit for the safe. Optional insurance offered in case valuables were stolen.
For a hotel advertised as 4 stars, the overall quality, cleanliness, maintenance, and service were far below expectations. In our opinion, this hotel does not even meet the standards of a 2-star hotel.
Solo traveller
I’m still here and having a wonderful time! The hotel is wonderful and the food it so good. I read all the reviews just before I came and I was worried 😟 but from the moment I arrived I have had nothing but good experiences here. Staff are helpful. No robberies (if that changes I will come back on here to say so lol). Not sure why this hotel receives so many negative reviews, don’t understand it at all.
Hotel need a reservation and new manager
The first impression when we arrived was very bad; the photos were taken 60 years ago when the hotel was built. The hotel smells like urine, and they don't clean the rooms—only turn the sheets inside out. The food is only pork and chicken, and the desserts are always the same; after 3 days, you get tired of the same foods. The hotel seems to have no owner or manager and urgently needs a major renovation and a manager like me! The hotel has great potential to be the best on the entire island, but it needs a new manager. 98% of the people I talked to said they would never return here, which is a big disappointment for the owner! The air conditioning doesn't work, the entertainment is terrible, the kids quickly become discouraged, and there's no creativity at all. I would definitely make this hotel the best in the region, after a major renovation, of course!
Worst hotel experience
Worst hotel I have been I am still here, it’s been 5 days and the food is horrible they only offering pork which I don’t eat chicken and same fish every meal each day the food gets worst Rooms are not well clean Hotel welcoming is bad you do not have someone to help with the bags Have in mind that you only pay for the view to take pictures Insects cockroaches you can see in your bedroom or outside Nothing that you see in pictures related to the hotel is real ont the outside view I still have few days here and I can’t wait to go
Terrible hotel. Do not book!
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! I had jewellery taken from my room. The balcony and windows were locked so whoever came in had the room key. Reception decided they couldn't understand English and the manager didn't want to know and said it was between me and the police! On checking out another couple also had things taken from their room. The hotel is in dire need of an update. The pool tiles were coming off the pool and leaving sharp tiles. The showers by the pools didn't work and had heads missing from them. There are lots of reviews on here about robberies so please choose a different hotel.
