Surrounded by subtropical gardens with palm trees, this family-friendly hotel is located in the south of the popular holiday island of Fuerteventura. Both the beach and the town centre are within a 10-minute walk, the airport is about 70 km away. The hotel features 166 rooms, 24-hours reception, restaurant, 2 bars, 2 outdoor pools, 2 children's pools, playground, fitness centre, wellness, sports facilities, medical assistance, car hire and free on-site parking. Facilities for disabled guests.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a very enjoyable stay. The highlight of our holiday was definitely the entertainment team, who made the experience so much more fun. A special thank you to Valentino for his enthusiasm, friendliness, and dedication. He was always full of energy and made everyone feel welcome. The rest of the entertainment team was also fantastic, engaging, and always doing their best to make every activity enjoyable.
The only area that could be improved is the housekeeping and room maintenance. While the room was generally fine, we noticed that the cleaning could be more thorough, and some maintenance issues would benefit from more attention.
Overall, we had a great experience. With some improvements to the room maintenance and housekeeping, it would be even better.
I will first state the place itself is clean. Good selection of spirits and beer you pour yourself.
However, everything else is really poor.
Food - I've stayed in many all inclusive hotels across Spain, usually none of them are great but bearable. After the 3rd day of our children refusing to eat and us simply not wanting to eat the same undercooked pork steaks (even asked the chef making it and he was confused which says it all). Pork was pink on each pork I looked at. Simply terrible food all round. Travelling with a boy who is dairy and soya intollerant. Wrong labels were out and food which you 100% know will have the likes off milk in it were not labelled. Honestly this place could get law suites with rubbish like that.
Entertainment - very small team and I credit them for trying. But they don't get help from the hotel highers clearly as it's rubbish. Childrens entertainment on an evening last 6 whole songs which lasts 15 mins as part of their "Mini Disco". Guess there use of mini is short amount of time rather than the age group its for.
Location - you have small mini markets near which are what they are. Do the job for little bits and bobs. Nice Pizza joint very close by.
Room - we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Honestly no issues. Nice, spacious, clean. Only downside is no AC. But it's a very windy place so didn't bother us too much. Swings and roundabouts on that one.
Staff - Cleaners were great tbf, always working hard and are polite. Old guy on reception was rude. Female on reception was very friendly who checked us in. Very English problem to have, but don't expect to hear much english on your travels here.
I would not stop here and I'm dead against scare mongering. But save your pennies or spend a little bit more for a better experience.
We have just returned from a week here, disappointed to say the least!
The food is of extremely poor quality on 3 occasions we had pork or chicken still raw! The person cooking it on the live station clearly not bothered same things every day my poor son has food allergies and was stuck on pasta and rice as the food was never labelled correctly either
Entertainment was okay but none of the entertainment team really bother with English but seem fluent in German and French the kids mini disco also only lasts for 15 minutes.
The staff all seem to have a sour face on (unless your Spanish then they will interact) when we asked about lasted check out the man just laughed in our face rather than bother to check for us.
The pools were cleaned well in the morning but i didnt see anybody check the water quality through the day especially after the foam party , The area around the pools was not well cared for with smelly stagnant water all around and left over drinks spilled everywhere
The local area is sparce with a few nice restaurants and shops but again not very welcoming to anyone english unfortunately
When we arrived we were a little cautious, the room was clean and very comfortable but incredibly hot and stuffy and dated. There was a ceiling fan but we slept with windows open the whole time we stayed. I feel like the hotel could definitely do with being updated! Rooms were cleaned 5 times over the week.
The pool was very clean and a welcome way to cool in the hot temperatures. Around the pool could have done with more cleans through the week but it was a great area.
No queuing at the bar was great. We found they had a great selection of drinks to suit everyone. The bar staff were very friendly and efficient.
The food however, was just awful. Breakfast was good and lunch could be very hit and miss but evenings were poor. The children quickly got bored of pasta. We ate out 5 of our 6 evenings (recommend mamma Mia’s, 10 min walk)
Entertainment honestly made our holiday! Valentine and Gianni were amazing and had us laughing the whole time, they took the time to get to know the guests and always greeted us daily with a smile and a bit of banter! They worked hard to get everyone involved and are a credit to the hotel (special shout out to Valentine who helped my son find sugar when he was having a diabetic low)
All in all it was a good holiday with a great atmosphere but quiet enough to get a good night sleep. I recommend a trip to the Costa zoo and the Wednesday / Sunday market.
Stayed here for a week, took about a hour from the airport on a coach. The rooms were fine with comfy beds & a ceiling fan, shower was very powerful but the bathroom definitely needed upgrading. The pool was very nice, too cold for me but that’s personal preference.. plenty of people using it. The area around the pool was tidy but the floor wasn’t cleaned in the evenings so all drinks ect spilt on the floor during the week were left to go sticky and brown which wasn’t very nice. The entertainment team tried, not many people interested in getting involved during the day, apart from the pool/ foam party which was good. We didn’t see any evening entertainment as it was inside which was very hot so can’t comment on that.
The bar was set up to help your self, with a good choice of local spirits, beer, soft drinks and a water machine offering fizzy and cold water. This moved from pool bar during the day to inside bar during the evening.
Now I get on to the food. It was cold, strange concoctions and repeated, lacking in choice with a lot of it turned over from the previous meal making it sadly more un edible than the first time they served it. My partners favourite was the sprouts and carrot balls.. do I need to say any more! Snack time consisted of burgers every day, mostly with no burger buns, hot dogs with hot dog buns and left over pastry from breakfast.
The area is quiet with a few shops ( they follow you round like you are criminal ) supermarkets close to the hotel is good for small bits. We found a bar and a couple of restaurants within walking distance. The beaches are lovely just a short walk away with sun beds to hire and a beach bar. The buggy tour was a bonus coating around £115 for two, you can book this from the hotel.
Over all I wouldn’t return but we enjoyed the sun and the welcomed breeze.
