The Hotel R2 Pajara Beach is located directly on the beach, on an impressive vantage point, from where you can enjoy a great view of the beaches of Sotavento. Its architecture in the "U" shape allows you to have, from almost every one of its comfortable rooms, a magnificent view of the glittering turquoise waters of Costa Calma. The hotel consists of 387 air-conditioned rooms, each equipped with a telephone, TV, fridge, bathroom with hairdryer and safe. With its modern facilities and services, this 4-star hotel offers a wide range of entertainment, swimming pools, gardens, sports facilities, spa and gym. You can also enjoy our Exper2ience program.
Overall we had a good stay at the hotel. The food was good with plenty of choice, the rooms are reasonably spacious and the hotel grounds are quite large. There was also something going on every day, with different activities organised by the animation team.
A special mention has to go to Pilar from the kids club. She was absolutely lovely with our 5-year-old daughter and our daughter really took to her. Pilar was very caring and genuinely seemed to enjoy spending time with the children. You could see that she was making a real effort to keep them entertained. The whole animation team were very enthusiastic and friendly.
There are, however, a few things that I think the hotel needs to improve. The hotel is starting to look quite a bit tired everywhere. Some things are small, for example we were given what looked more like rags than proper towels (see photo) or room was not cleaned, but there are also bigger issues: The decking around the pool is in quite poor condition and some of it is badly worn, which I think is a safety issue and should be urgently addressed. The managements lack of interest tells you a lot about the regard towards the guests. Some of the paving around the hotel is also uneven. Anybody's holiday could be finished on the day one if one is trip over these pavers.
I managed to split my toe on the hotels volleyball court, due to concrete hardcore being covered by not enough sand. This needs to be remedied immediately by laying more sand and the animator spending 10min before the game to even out the ground!
The beach bar was another frustration. There was often a queue because there was only one person serving, especially at busy times. Having another member of staff there would make a big difference.
Most of the guests during our stay were German, followed by Czech and Polish, with some French guests as well. We didn't see many British or Russian guests.
Overall, I think it's a good hotel as long as you haven't paid too much for it. There are definitely things that could be improved, but we reasonably enjoyed our stay.
We had a unique experience at this hotel! Shortly before our vacation began, my partner read the reviews for the hotel we were going to stay at. And he warned me that I should expect nothing but negative treatment, that's what it said. We have been to at least 15 "all inclusive" hotels in different countries around the world and we have some minimal experience. For example, in February we were in Egypt and we had no hot water, that's where our problems started. We had the same experience, but for a shorter time in Italy (May) and Malta in July. Similar problems in Cape Verde in March. I'm used to it, and in general I'm not a conflicted person. In this hotel in Fuerteventura we were amazed by the cleanliness everywhere (not only in the rooms) the service, the live music, the shows, the entertainment from the animators, the food, the management and the overall atmosphere in the hotel, the greenery and the feeling of a real vacation! The staff is so smiling! We managed to feel the meaning of the word "vacation" thanks to them! Special thanks to the smileiest working person there - Jonathan, who said that he loves his job! I highly recommend it!
After seeing the less than positive reviews for the hotel I was worried about coming and wasn’t expecting much at all. However since being here I have been impressed . Friendly staff at check in and very quick . My husband had made a few requests for a quiet room and 2 rooms together and that was done . Rooms and hotel very clean throughout . Pool area great and something for the kids to do everyday by the pool . Food basic but ok , drinks very quick for us . All staff helpful and friendly . The views and beach great . It’s a quiet area but that’s what we wanted . I would come again .
The hotel was lovely and with direct access to the beach via steep steps. The rooms were clean and tidy but without tea or coffee Making facilities in the room. The food was very repetitive, chicken or pork Most days i only had beef twice in my ten nights. That entertainment was lacking no music no daytime entertainment and the evening entertainment didn't start until around half nine in the evening. the hotel caters more for the Germans that are staying here and not for the British. Me and my mum had to get up very early to try and get some beds by the pool which if you overslept means your not going to get one. We also asked for 2 separate beds, the night we got there, and they said they will sort it out the next day but that didn't happen i had to do separate down the middle of the bed was 2 blankets. Im 36 years old and sharing a bed with your mum at that age is unacceptable. We will not be returning to this hotel again
Beautiful sea views and really lovely staff. Check in and check out were smooth and we were able to make any requests we wanted at reception too. Our room was really lovely with a sea view off the balcony. There was a fairly long transfer from the airport but very scenic. The hotel itself was very clean and well looked after. Overall it was really good value for money. The noise level is not awful even with the entertainment going, the only thing we noticed was that our balcony overlooked the restaurant below so at 7:30am you could hear the early risers! The walk down beach and all day snack bar really made our stay worthwhile. We tried to use the gym but there was some equipment unavailable but it wasn’t a major issue. We did not use the spa but we were offered a shower in there once we checked out whilst we waited for our transfer. The food was your usual all inclusive buffets but they had decent variety and themed nights. Overall we were really impressed!
