The Hotel R2 Pajara Beach is located directly on the beach, on an impressive vantage point, from where you can enjoy a great view of the beaches of Sotavento. Came for 5 nights with my adult daughters. Lovely hotel, very spacious with amazing views. Restaurant catered for pretty much everyone, food was labelled and so much choice, although desserts all looked different but tasted the same. Lovey room with balcony. I think the bathroom was a wet room because the shower would leak all over the bathroom floor and also soaked through the wall where the bed was! Apart from that we had no issues and the cleaners always did a great job. The bars were always well stocked with most drinks, although there was almost always a queue. The staff were always pleasant and helpful Myself and my 2 daughters had a great holiday and would definitely come back
I am currently staying here with my mum and friend. Normally I would wait until i get home before reviewing but I can't believe how poor the services here. Long queue at the pool bar every day all day. The man behind the bar (Jonathan) is absolutely lovely and does not stop working. He is on his own whilst the female employee leisurely put away a delivery of stock. Everyone in the queue was complaining but Jonathan smiles the whole time. Very professional and friendly. However the other bar is another story. The older bartender was rude to me and my friend and when I challenged him asking if something was wrong with him and he said he didn't understand!!!The queues are also the same. Where are the management? Can't see any evidence of good leadership in this hote and staff look unhappy. Not what you want for a holiday. Disappointing
I've spent 10 amazing days in this hotel at the end of August 2026 with my 16 years old daughter and best friend. The hotel itself is really big but well taken care of. Of course you could say that some parts of this hotel could do with a bit of tlc but overall, knowing how many people this complex can accommodate at once it's really good. The rooms are big and cleaned on a daily basis, with towel replacements available whenever you need. The pool towels are provided on the day of arrival, if you want them to be replaced, there is a €1 charge paid cash on the reception. The restaurant is really nice with a huge variety of food every day. I'm sure everybody will find something to suit their taste. There are a few bars available around the whole hotel providing delicious cocktails, cold drinks and hot drinks as well. There is big variety of all inclusive cocktails available , even non alcoholic ones for teenagers which is amazing as I was there with my 16 years old daughter. There is snack bar that opens from 10.30 till 18.00 or 18.30 so if you want to sleep longer and won't get up for breakfast, there is plenty of food provided (not as much as in the main restaurant, but some proper "breakfast like " bits, fresh fruits and more). Fresh fruits are available every day on different meals occasion. The evening entertainment was wonderful and started around 21.30, lasting for about an hour or so. There was live music, acrobatics, dancers and more. There is a kids entertainment every evening in Ajuy bar/disco starts around 20.00 or 20.30 for around and hour with the music and animation team. The animation team is truly amazing! They are going above and beyond to make guests happy all day as there are different activities around the pools thoughout the day as well. There is a DJ, I think his name is Lorenzo who is really nice and friendly and takes over most nights after the kids time is over for a disco for adults which is on until almost 1 am. The hotel staff is truly amazing, starting with reception team. Dominik was very friendly and helpful and we really appreciate his engagement in his role on the reception. The guys who works in the main restaurant and bars later on are very professional and friendly too. 🤗 We're impressed by Jabriel and Noel (not sure if I spell their names correctly 🙈) professional service around the meal times and at the bars, making delicious cocktails and having friendly attitudes! I was asked for full names, while rating our holiday, if any of the hotel team stands out and I did mention them but I don't know their full names so if you want to provide them to me it would great as their efforts should be much appreciated! ❤ I would like to thank Jorge, Ruben, Alexander and Jonathan as well. 👏 I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend their holiday there as the hotel and people who work there are truly great and will make everything to make you feel comfortable, well taken care of and special throughout your stay! Well done. 💯 The surrounding area is breathtaking as well and we've left a piece of our hearts there 💔!! Thank you 🥰 I'm sure we will come back there again soon 🩵
Lovely clean hotel with great food,the room this year was basic but clean this is our second time and would come again the beach is gorgeous the weather was great the staff very friendly
We arrived on Wednesday 19th August in the evening at the hotel. We were feeling quite worried by the previous reviews that we had seen but it was a great overall stay! We had the room 2222 and it was beautiful and plenty of room for storage! One highlight for us was clean drinking water in the room! It was in a small tap but dont think I have ever seen this before which helped keep my daughter hydrated and reduce the use of plastic bottles. The cleaning staff were friendly although they only made beds and empty bins and replace towels, but that was fine for us. Food- absolutely delicious! Something on different every day and night, very fresh food including the bread which was great. My daughter loved the ice cream! They did cook a lot of pork which I get bit would have been nice to see a different variety of meat although I get with such a large hotel it may not be cost sufficient. The white wine was delicious and all the staff work extremely hard! They also provide milk alternatives and gluten free products too. There were music being played which i really liked, it set the scene of the night in the restaurant. Animation team- we thought they were great! Not too in your face and only did activities certain times of the day, which we preferred. Mini disco on at 8.30pm and all staff were so energetic and fun with the kids. Shout out to Isobel who made my daughter feel comfortable and welcome. A variety of different shows on and they sounded good but it we didn't see any just personal choice. Beautiful grounds and kept well maintained! Yes there is some tiles raised and it does need a good sort out but I get that it's hard to do when hotel is open all year round. The beach was just absolutely stunning, we liked to feed the chipmunks. You do have to watch your footing on the stones down to it but this isn't anything to do with the hotel. -sun loungers- yes this is a problem, my husband had to get up early to get some because if not they would all be gone. Its the same in all European countries though, the staff could maybe get stricter on this? Especially we saw many numerous towels on loungers and they werent there most of the day which isn't fair on people who have arrived on their holiday on middle of the day. So yeah, great beautiful, relaxing stay with a few rooms of improvement where all hotels need! We would strongly consider coming back too! 💖💃
