Perfect for adults, this quiet hotel is located on the upper part of the resort, with privileged views over Costa Calma. There are countless shops, restaurants, bars and pubs in the hotel vicinity, and the centre of Costa Calma is 2.9 KM away. This is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday under the warm Canary sun.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a sauna. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/games room and gift shops/newsstands.
I would give this hotel 5* in relation to its autism friendly status. It maintains a calm, helpful environment for all people and especially looks out for the needs of those who are neurodivergent. This is both helpful and reassuring.
Many of the staff also contribute to this ethos, working very hard and making guests feel welcome. Sadly, the hotel seems understaffed and these members of staff seem stretched beyond capabilities. Their professionalism means they do not take it out on the guest. Unfortunately, room cleaning is affected by the issue of being understaffed.
The receptionist team, chefs, bar staff and restaurant workers did the hotel proud.
Thank you for a great August week in Fuerteventura.
First thing to mention is that you’ll find an inordinate number of solo travellers here which I found unusual as someone who travels solo frequently. A real variety of ages too - and of course no children. Location-wise it is a little out of the way and the area is quiet - couple of bars and a club in town but taxis are quite easy to get and cheap. Food - well it’s all inclusive and in that context it is fine. Measures at the bar are large. Cleanliness - could very definitely do much better. Glass (around the pool, around the lobby bar etc) is filthy, corridors have stains and muck which could easily be cleaned by the room cleaning staff who park their trolleys on top of it. Lots of little elements of cleanliness that really should be improved. As with many European hotels they seem to have cut back on staff (but not prices!) The biggest issue with this hotel is the way in which certain elements of the experience are dealt with in a sort of school-teacher manner. They have scant entertainment but when they do it goes on to 11pm and is loud - but try and play some music quietly you’ll get a metaphoric ruler across the palm of your hand. It is all very annoying and unreasonable - and people sitting at the only bar often wanted a few tunes playing. Another issue is they only put one person on the bar in the evening so you often queue. Twice I waited fifteen minutes in a queue and then they wanted to not serve me because it went past 11pm and all-inclusive ends. Again, ridiculous and really not treating us like guests and more like an imposition. It really is an ‘OK’ hotel and you will probably enjoy it but they need very urgently to start to care more. I am giving three stars for Mamadou who staffs the reception late at night - always helpful and pleasant.
Hotel is nice but theres nothing to do...you cant even have a little music at the pool....so if u dont read a book its boring... Night time entertainmemt was really bad.....mon, weds , fri....it was an hour of pain.....wouldnt go back...
Poor buffet quality. Primarily catering to Brits. (Chips at breakfast?)
Location is poor. Good 20 min hilly walk to get into town. Would struggle is you have a mobility issues.
Completely lacking any evening entertainment. Making it quite boring for a solo traveler.
All staff friendly and helpful. (Every chef, cleaner, house keeper saying ‘Hello’ throughout the day)
Clean all round.
A lot of large, underutilised areas. Shame.
Started off promising when i arrived late and checked in to be told that as i’d missed food there was a plate of food that had been left in my room, yay! It’s just unfortunate that when I arrived at my room that the can of water and small selection of meat and cheese had actually been left on the dresser for what looked like most of the day and let’s not forget it’s not exactly a cold climate so tbf it wasn’t the most appetising meal i’d ever seen, booo! Room itself was great and looked clean though only gripe not enough clothes hangers so like me if your staying here bring some with you. So morning arrives and off I trot for my breakfast on my all inclusive and there is a lot of choice…..if you get there early but restaurant is clean and staff friendly. Then off to the pool oh it doesn’t open till 10am that’s a bit rubbish. Anyway when it finally opens there are plenty of sun beds and space available but omg it’s dead poolside all day, don’t get me wrong I wasn’t expecting a lively Ibiza type environment but absolutely zero atmosphere sucks bigtime! If it hadn’t been for the people I got talking to I’d have been bored rigid. Where’s the music? Happy holiday music to create that lovely holiday mood? Apparently they’d got rid of a lot of staff and music and entertainment seemed to be the main casualty both inside the hotel and out poolside. Anyway cutting long story short I’m glad I brought books to read. Lunch and dinner food wise again most days I found ok not the worst and not the best but omg “snack bar “ I use the word loosely as I expect snacks to be fresh cooked burgers, chips nuggets nah man just bits n bats of cold meats cheese etc shipped over from the restaurant left to curl up and die in the atmosphere! Where’s me lollies n crisps to snack on? Very poor. Entertainment…….absolutely dreadful! Random 3 days scheduled in a hot sticky room up on the 4th floor, felt sorry for the acts tbf who did try their best. This place could do so much better with the facilities and space it has plus having one person man the bars needs sorting! The person working the bar both in reception area and entertainment room doesn’t have time to clean the areas and collect glasses so you can guarantee if they get busy halfway through the night you start getting your drinks in disposable drinks cups used for hot drinks usually honestly it’s pitiful. I really could write soooo much more about this gaff and yes the stories you hear about pineapples and keys in a bowl (if you know you know) are true and Jacqueline and Donald would absolutely love this place, but don’t let that put you off as this at least gives the guests some entertainment discussing over our paper cups at night. All in all it’s an ok hotel but I definitely won’t be returning. My room was cleaned everyday and I didn’t get poorly, I was entertained by antics of fellow guests and made friends who also entertained me and kept me sane. Thankyou and adios x
