This modern hotel complex is situated in Costa Calma in the south of Fuerteventura. It is an ideal place for unforgettable family holidays as it features a pool, children's pool, playground, kid's club, entertainment for adults and children, restaurant, several bars as well as various sports facilities. The beautiful sandy beach can be reached within a short stroll, there is a shuttle bus to the beach.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Hotel Drago Park is both welcoming and lively. On the downside, the location is very remote. The rooms although very spacious and clean are outdated and in need of some modernisation. The pool area is really lovely and the water is always warm to swim or paddle. The evening entertainment I personally thought was poor. The service is friendly and overall this venue offers affordable value for money.
Currently here. spoken to management in the restaurant and emailed 6 times before arrival- no reply despite 3 different addresses- concerning gluten free food as I have Coeliac disease. Was told couldnt have any of the sauces as they had wheat flour, fine no problem. I have eaten chicken pork etc off the grill all week. Monotonous but safe. Tonight our last night there is only fish on the grill- despite being coeliac I am actually allowed to have likes and dislikes and fish is something I dont like. So I queried if they would be able to cook me a small piece of chicken or some pork? to be told no- was told I could have all the food in sauces!! contradicting what was conveyed to me earlier in the week and unwilling to take the risk as having been coeliac 15yrs now I am very aware many sauces contain gluten in form of wheat flour. I appreciate that its not easy to support allergies. But the rudeness was not called for. It was a simple request so that I could eat something for dinner. So if there are any fellow coeliacs considering coming here I would advise to go elsewhere. breakfast consisted of bacon tomato and eggs or yoghurt and apple/pear - no bread or cereal lunch- chips/potato and grill dinner- chips/salad and grill
The irony is they have a sign that says inform us of allergies- yes so they can ignore them and offer no simple alternatives First and last time here..
I read some bad reviews but considering it was rated a 4* I thought it must be ok. People say you get what you pay for this certainly is not the case here, it’s worse. Room was outdated and the air conditioning just pumped out a bad smell. This resulted in me requesting to change rooms which they did quickly. Unfortunately the smell was only a slight improvement. Sliding patio door required a fight to open, cockroaches and ants were seen everyday in the room, ok it was a ground floor room. The pool area was great, getting sun beds wasn’t an issue, but most were broke and uncomfortable and uncleaned. The food was terrible. I have stayed in many all inclusive hotels and this was the worst. Salads ok, the rest was substandard and cold no matter if it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, not even slightly warm. They even served snout one day which we assumed was from a pig. Everyday dinner was eaten at some good local restaurants. We spoke to many people and no one had anything good to say about the food. Even the pancakes tasted of fish due to the same grill being used and clearly not cleaned right.
I have stayed in some extremely good 4* hotels this came no where close. 2* at best.
I would rather eat pot noodles everyday.
The hotel was lovely, serving great food and lots of variety of options for all tastes. The room was great, with complimentary air con and safe (no fees to use), lovely shower and good water pressure. There were plenty of sun loungers for all, pool depth was 1.3 metres maximum so likely not so cold through winter months. The staff were helpful and courteous but a special mention goes out to the animation team who worked tirelessly to get people involved and had a variety of activities for all ages, absolutely brilliant, I'd definitely go again
We had a fantastic time at the hotel. The location is slightly remote but the beach is within walking distance and it's worth the walk. The hotel is lovely and relaxed. The food and drink on offer was great. I read a lot of reviews before coming here and wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't need to worry as everything was as we wanted our family holiday to be. Rooms were cleaned daily, everyone is really friendly. It's perfect for a family to enjoy. The pools are perfect for small children with the kids pool and even the big pool they were able to use. We would definitely recommend a visit. I would ignore the negative reviews, this was not experienced on our trip at all.
