Completely renovated in 2019, it has born with the concept of a small boutique hotel with personalized and friendly services, as well as tranquillity and comfort. The rooms are distributed in 4 buildings of 2 floors each. Several solariums equipped with sun loungers, sun shades and showers. Two freshwater swimming pools from which you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the sea, the isle “Isla de Lobos” and Lanzarote.
The forty-four double or triple bedrooms, in standard category or sea view category stand out for their decoration in white and indigo colours and their ceramic floor with wood effect that brings freshness and elegance. Indirect lighting creates a warm atmosphere and, above all, enhance the natural light.
All accommodations have Smart features such as intelligent night lighting, free high-quality Wi-Fi service, air conditioning, Smart TV, satellite TV, as well as a safe included, mini-fridge and kettle. Each room and apartment have a desk where to work, write and be inspired by this wonderful environment. We would like to highlight the large glass walled bathroom, with premium towel sets, ecological amenities, hairdryer, magnifying mirror and Italian shower with glass screen.
For those who choose a more independent stay, the TAO Caleta Mar Boutique Hotel offers fully equipped apartments with sea views. All sea-view apartments overlook the islands of Lobos and Lanzarote, the bay of Corralejo and the pool. The bedroom of the apartments is very bright thanks to its glass door with access to the outside.
Its location is unparalleled. At the entrance to Corralejo, beside the beach, in the Dunas de Corralejo Natural Park and in front of Lobos island, Lanzarote and the Corralejo bay, it positions Hotel Boutique TAO Caleta Mar as one of the establishments with the best views of Fuerteventura.
Good points: Breakfast was lovely with enough to choose from. Our ground floor suite was beautiful, big and clean. Air con worked brilliantly. Reception, cafe staff and all the housekeepers were really kind and work so hard. Plenty of sun beds around the pool. Amazing view of the ocean and Lobos island. Situated next to a great beach called Playa del Pozo
Bad points: 30 min walk to centre of town (taxis charge €6 - €8 per journey) Swimming pools are very cold. There is no privacy on any of the patios or balconies. Not many snacks to buy from the cafe. Hotel really needs some maintenance outside around the pool and canteen area.
My husband and I spent a week here to celebrate my birthday in August. We were so very impressed. From the beginning the reception staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They could not do enough for us and even left a wonderful, unexpected surprise in the room for us arriving. Our room was a sea view room and the views were just spectacular looking over towards Lobos Island. The rooms are kept exceptionally clean and serviced every single day, with fresh towels provided daily, the bed linen was changed frequently also. The pool area is clean with plenty sun loungers to relax on in the very peaceful surroundings. The guests were mainly couples when we were there. No loud music or crowds. Ideal for a chilled vacation. There was a huge choice for breakfast every day with fresh fruits and breads in abundance. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the breakfast room again was kept spotlessly clean with plenty tables inside and out. The location for us was perfect. Right on the edge of town at the beginning of the grandes playa. The public bus from Puerto del Rosario stops just along the road from the hotel and goes all the way to the harbour for only €1.40 if it is too warm to walk. We hired a car for a few days to explore the island. We had no problem parking at the hotel when we returned. We can highly recommend this hotel and we will return soon! Thank you Tao Caleta Mar team
Booked by phone rather than on website with jet2 because I wanted a first floor sea view apartment, explained that I did not, under any circumstances want a ground floor room, I was assured by the rep that I would get a first floor room as requested and paid a premium for, when I arrived the manager told me there was no first floor rooms available and I was given a ground floor room which I specifically said I did not want, I complained by phone to jet2 but they just washed their hands of the problem. Do not use jet2 if you want a holiday.
What a lovely little tucked away complex. Quite quiet but u step outside to the most stunning beach and views of the island of lobos. There’s not much on the complex in regards to facilities there’s a nice breakfast and bar/snack/cocktails all day though where the staff and the reception staff are great and faultless. Even though this is quite a remote location of corralejo it’s no more that 5 euros in a taxi to be in the heart of the town of corraleio so if you like the best of both worlds would recommend this. Quick shout out to cleaners that were in every single day making sure u had to do nothing but relax ❤️
Just returned from a week’s b&b. It was a lovely stay, the rooms, pool (chilly) etc were all very clean and the gardens very well looked after. Breakfast was plentiful. The staff were all helpful and professional although perhaps not overly welcoming, the first greeting tended to come from guests rather than staff. The nearby dunes beaches are only a short walk away and are quite a sight. The hotel is quite a long walk from town but was very quiet which was appreciated. Taxis into town were around €7, the after 10pm return around €9. I assume the hotel was around half full (?) which obviously added to the quietness.
