My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Secrets Bahia Real Resort and Spa for our honeymoon, and it easily deserves 5 stars.
One of the things we loved most was how spacious the property is - you never feel too on top of other guests. The grounds are very well maintained, and the beautiful flora added so much to the experience. Furthermore, the adult-only policy (16+) suited us very well. However, the beach front, being public space, would still have children.
The hotel is perfectly situated, just a short walk north to Corralejo or south to the stunning beaches of the sand dunes national park. The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed both the buffet and the à la carte restaurants. The all-inclusive plus package covered everything we needed.
While the hotel doesn't offer specific upgrades for honeymooners, we loved our Junior Suite with a frontal ocean view - especially relaxing on the private balcony in the mornings. We wouldn't hesitate to return!
Sorry to say this hotel is not 5 star. If you are just going on what the hotel looks like and cleanliness I can’t fault it beds are comfy the best shower I’ve ever had in spacious room the food in market kitchen was very good lots of choice in my pinion and it was very clean never did I see flies on any food. So here is why I rate it normal for me it’s customer service staff in seaside restaurant by the pool are rude they seemed stressed and seem to resent you being there waitresses are short and snappy and it’s a sit down and order from the menu which if it was a buffet the staff may not be as stressed. On our first day a waitress told me to go to a certain table and mistakenly I went to the wrong table the other waitress became very sarcastic and said in Spanish we are all the same go figure but it was a honest mistake on my part. In my opinion you should not show guests you are stressed and be so blunt and rude as if we are inconveniently annoying them. Secondly no curtsey room so we had to shower in spa which was like a sweat box not 5 star stands to me also all inclusive stops at 12 never known this even in ac3 star you get a voucher for lunch. Entertainment well it’s depressing slow miserable songs which would be ok if you could walk somewhere in the evening but surroundings are lots of derelict buildings so u have to get a cab into town. Pools are lovely tho and it is a really nice hotel but service was shocking for a five star and service is a big part of your holiday experience. Reception man named salvatore was helpful and the only friendly smiley face was a lady called Sara in the main bar and the lady that welcome you to dinner in market grill of a evening. Can’t say about other restaurants as I did not book any.
Excellent from start to finish, great staff, excellent food, relaxing. You do need a car to explore the local landmarks.
Beautiful hotel. Really relaxing. Staff are excellent and very helpful. Only issue is that the lunches in the restaurant are not good. All other food was fabulous. Breakfast and dinner were really good. I would definitely return and recommend. Night time lacks a bit of atmosphere, some good entertainment with a more social scene would be great. But overall it was a great holiday. The staff taking care of the rooms are super, always checking that you have enough towels and high standard of cleaning.
Fantastic hotel. Friendly staff who were always happy to help. Particular mention to Pablo (I think that was his name) who welcomed us on arrival, helped us with our bags and was always keen to help through the week. Restaurants are excellent with great food and plenty of choice. Pool area was excellent with no problems finding a sun longer on any day. Hotel was spotlessly clean and spa was a superb bonus on site with generous access.
