This is probably one of the first RUI hotels and it is in real need of some refurbishment and maintenance. The staff, food, general atmosphere and everything is great. But the rooms and hotel generally just need help. Our bedside lamps were hanging off the wall. Plaster in places too. There was a bucket in reception for drips and the whole place looks sad from the outside. It was clean and you can see staff are doing their best. Avoid room 1106 in the annex’s if you are a light sleeper as the cleaners start out with their trolleys at 6.30 am and poolside loos back onto this room so hand dryers are going all the time. Would I return? Yes for a short break and for the right price. It did the job - like I say you couldn’t fault the staff
This place is a total dump. The stench of raw sewage meets you in the tiny car park. NO WIFI IN BEDROOMS. NO AIRCON IN BEDROOMS. SILVERFISH IN BATHROOMS. SEWAGE ISSUES IN BATHROOMS. Broken tiles on floors and walls. Leaking air conditioning units in common areas Black mold in the bathrooms. Leaking fridge. Threadbare towels. Plaster falling off walls. Buildings and furnishings are about 50 to 60 years old. The food is horrendous.... dried up veal burgers at lunch, cold hot dogs, stale sandwiches with insects landing on them. Staff began removing food an hour before breakfast/ dinner buffet was scheduled to end. Poor quality wine. Cheap imitation spirits. On checkout our wrist bands were immediately cut off and we were informed we would have to pay for further food and drink.... even though we hadn't checked in until late at night on our first night.... the meaness was astounding. Would I stay here again??? NEVER. NOT EVEN IF THEY PAID ME.
The hotel is a bit old, but service and perfect location make it an excellent place to stay. It was my first experience of staying at this hotel, but I’m sure not the last.
Horrendous from start to finish. No food or drink available when arriving at hotel due to delayed flight. Despite website saying snacks and drinks available at ANY time of day. Rooms not equipped with basic functioning, no air conditioning, bathroom doors not able to shut or lock. One child got stuck in bathroom. Patio doors not secure or lockable and dangerous to open. Wardrobe sliding door fell out of runners and injured my husband. Luckily not my children. Exposed wires hanging out of wall with hanging plugs. Heath safety and security were non existent. Only one room key between a family of four. Loss of time and disruption to family holiday, continuing to report issues. TUI customer service non existent. Severe failures on their part also. Extremely disappointed and exhausted from reporting so much going wrong!
There’s a lot to be said for good value. Fantastic staff like Merchi and Nancy. Good food provision. Good and timely housekeeping. Yes, the place is very tired, but ultimately, you get what you pay for and more. Can’t speak highly enough of their offering.
