Sorry but this hotel should be knocked down…even the staff agreed. Multiple issues , food mediocre. Room infested with insects. Beach is absolutely beautiful. Would visit again but def not to this hotel,
We have just returned from a week long trip and can thoroughly recommend this hotel, friendly staff great facilities and fantastic location, the only criticism we had was the rooms are a little dated, however they condition was spotless, we will definitely recommend and return
We stayed at Riu Olivia Beach and wanted to share some information specifically about accessibility for other guests with mobility needs.
The main hotel is not fully wheelchair accessible. Although there are lifts, they do not service the entertainment halls or the bar area, which means some facilities can be difficult to access by wheelchair.
The annex side is more accessible overall, although there is still a step to access the rooms. The bathrooms have showers over a lowered bath, so this is something to be aware of when considering the suitability of the accommodation.
The pool area has slopes and steps with handrails, providing different options for getting into the pool.
For us, the beach was the most accessible part of the resort. There is a boarded walkway running from the edge of the road down towards the lifeguard stand, making access considerably easier. They also have a beach wheelchair available for guests to use to access the sea, which is a fantastic facility and makes a real difference.
Overall, while there are some limitations around accessibility within the main hotel, the beach access and availability of a beach wheelchair are definite positives. I hope this information helps other wheelchair users and guests with mobility difficulties when deciding whether Riu Olivia Beach will meet their individual needs.
This hotel is really good. Rooms a little tired but everything you need. Big comfy bed, big tv good size bathroom with really powerful shower over bath with constant temperature water. Cleaned daily fresh towels replaced daily. Food Amazing so much choice and cooked to perfection. Always tables free in every Restaurant all times of day. Pool areas really clean and plenty of beds(beds right next to pool go quickly) Lots of adult activities. Walk directly onto beach and what a beach. This beach is so nice 9 euro for 2 beds and a umbrella. Specialty Restaurants really nice book as soon as you arrive. All staff really nice and friendly nothing is to much for them. They all genuinely seem to love working here. For the price of an all inclusive holiday you will be pushed to find a hotel that does what this place does anywhere. We only booked a week but wished it was longer. We are all ready looking at going back next September for 17 nights. Up until this holiday we loved costa adeje in Tenerife but we now think we have found are perfect place.
Great hotel, great location great staff. Food was excellent, drinks including cocktails were really good. We stayed in the main hotel and the room was good and had a great view although I think they all do. I would definitely recommend.
