Hotel Bahia De Lobos

We booked this as a family or 6, 5 adults, one teen and we had a very pleasant stay.

Hotel is about 40 minutes from airport in a private taxi. Arrived about 12pm and rooms were ready, two rooms were checked in but we had to wait until 3pm for the third as there was a mix up with who was staying in what room and a third bed needed to be made but wasn’t a problem.

Rooms were nice. Very spacious. We had three rooms. The normal beds were not that comfy and the sofa bed dipped in the middle. Rooms are modern but need some TLC. Shower in our room leaked every time it was used and various touch ups needed to walls etc. I do understand they are having a refurb this year so most likely something they will attend to. The house keeper was good and kept our room clean, mopped and towels fresh daily. Air con was good in two rooms and kept our rooms cool. However the third room the air con was broke - and a standalone unit was placed in there which leaked all over the tiled floor when used so the floor became slippy. Not great for my 80 year old grandparents. We did ask to move, however we was told the hotel was full, was told to come back the next day, we did and then was told to go back the next, and after day three we just gave up. Not ideal really. Small Fridges in rooms although ours was broke. Safe is free which is a bonus. Spacious balcony.

Food was tasty however not much variety. The pizza was 10/10, could eat that every day. There’s a pasta station with two sauces. Queues pretty much every time you went for food as hotel was really busy. More staff definitely are needed for the flow of people for food. Eggs or omelettes at breakfast was a good 10/15 minute wait sometimes. One thing I did find odd is there was no all day snack bar. Just breakfast, lunch and dinner. The snack bar opened at 3.30-5 with hot dogs, pre-made ham and cheese sandwiches and cakes. I mean it saved the waistline! Occasionally there were dirty tables but the staff are quite quick enough to clear things up.

Saw a few comments to say there was cockroaches. I saw one my whole stay and it was not alive. No issue for us.

Daytime entertainment wasn’t great. Very samey - only two entertainers as well which isn’t very many for the size of the hotel. Didn’t use the kids club so can’t comment (not sure if they have one or not)

Pools are lovely and big. No rush for sun beds. People do reserve them but there is more than enough to go around. Didn’t use the quite pool at the top but the big pool you could have balls and floats which was great. The pool definitely needs some TLC, the liner was ruched in places and there was sand at the bottom of the pool. I assume this will be worked on during the renovation. There are barely any parasols, probably about 9 around the pool and with the UV being high, and the wind, they need more shade. They regularly blew over as they were very torn and the wind sometimes strong, we had one member in our party who is on medication and needs to stay out of the sun and some days we had to hold the parasol so it didn’t blow over. They need fixing into the floor - and more of them.

Gym is well equipped.

Some absolutely gorgeous beaches around. Definitely visit the beach near the Rui Hotels - stunning! You can get the bus (number 6) about a 4 minute walk for just over a euro and about 10 mins on the bus. The other beaches are walking distance - about 10 mins. 10 euros for two sun beds and an umbrella (which didn’t blow over at all - perfect).

Water park is 5 minute walk - it’s not massive but it did the job for the day and with it being so local it was perfect.

Location is fantastic. We loved this most about the hotel. Literally a 5 minute walk if that and you’re amongst shops, bars and food places. So easy to get around.

Evening entertainment is not the best. With only a small entertainment team it was surprising really for a large hotel. The acts were mainly singers - we didn’t really watch many of them.

Drinks - not big drinkers but what we had was good. Only one cocktail available each day for AI - and it’s very sweet. Tip - take your own plastic cups.

Worth a little trip to the Isla De Lobos - a short boat ride away from the harbour. €15 Euros each return. Lovely little island but there’s no shade there and it’s very rocky so be warned.

Would I go back, yes probably even if just for the location, with the upcoming renovation I’d hope it can make this perfect, although working on the entertainment schedule and the daytime activities would be good too. We had a very pleasant stay.

Location was in the heart of corralejo very local to everything shops restaurants and even water park just a 5 mins walk away. Rooms were very spaceful plenty of room for ur clothes hangers ect mini fridge aswell Full hotel from reception restaraunts pool area rooms were spotless One thing that stands out immediately are the staff they work very hard and are always cheerful and plesent I appreciate this as I also currently work in this industry even when very busy nothing seemed to much Came here in April and returning soon in September also can't wait to see the change next year!

Absolutely not a 4 star hotel i would rate it a 2 or 3
