Hotel Bahia De Lobos

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and had a fantastic holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with how clean everything was. Our room was spotless, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job every day. They were always friendly, diligent, and attentive.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the shops and the beach. The waterpark is also nearby, although we spent most of our time relaxing by the pool. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, even after midday, which was a pleasant surprise.

The entertainment was enjoyable. While I think there’s some room for improvement, the entertainment team is quite small and did a great job throughout our stay. Given how close the hotel is to so many other attractions and amenities, we were more than happy with what was on offer. We also visited during the World Cup, which created a fantastic atmosphere around the hotel. ¡Viva España!

Before arriving, I read quite a few negative reviews about the food, which honestly made me a little apprehensive. However, we were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. There was a good variety of options without creating unnecessary waste, and the BBQ night was definitely our favourite. Unless you’re an extremely picky eater, I’m sure you’ll find something you enjoy. At busier times there was sometimes a short wait for drinks, but the staff worked hard and kept things moving efficiently. One tip: if you’re planning to have drinks by the pool, make sure you bring a €1 coin pp for the reusable cup deposit.

The hotel was peaceful in the evenings, despite welcoming a good mix of couples, families, and groups of friends. There were a few boys’ and girls’ holidays, but the two-drinks-per-person rule seemed to work well in keeping things relaxed and preventing groups from becoming too rowdy.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We also felt the hotel offered excellent value for money, especially considering the location, facilities, and service. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would happily recommend it to our family, friends, and anyone considering a holiday here.

The only areas I think could be improved are adding more sun umbrellas around the pool, as there weren’t enough and we noticed quite a few people getting sunburnt. It would also be nice if music was played by the pool for longer during the day, although that’s just a personal preference. Finally, our shower tray leaked quite a bit, which was a minor inconvenience, but it certainly didn’t spoil an otherwise fantastic stay.

This hotel is a disaster and has ruined our families holiday for my mom’s 75th. Aircon doesn’t work - they don’t care. They will send an engineer and he will switch it off & on and say it’s fixed - if it doesn’t cool down within 20 minutes call reception again. 20 minutes later we call reception and lo and behold the engineer has gone home. We have 4 rooms - it’s the same in all. There are about 10 parasols across rhe entire 2 pools. This is deliberate as the day beds are €20 to hire a day. Tried to make a table for 6 at breakfast as no-one would help us - got told off. The rooms are damp and mouldy and smelly and it looks like they just paint over it in blue
The food is dreadful and the same every day. Queued 20 minutes for some grilled chicken. Tried to queue for an omelette for breakfast and gave up the queue was so long and only 1 man doing them and the fried eggs. The sofa bed is bowed and uncomfortable. The 1 single pillow on each bed is flat as a pancake - maybe I could have had this for breakfast! As soon as you walk in to the hotel you can see its basic - they have done miracles with the marketing photographs. Never again. Watched the football last night on the tiny broken screen in the outside bar. The drinks are definitely not the labelled spirits they are pouring from the bottles. Would advise you strongly not to come to this hotel.

As the title, this hotel is a very strong 3.9* or a weak 4*, I think to hit the 4* they tick the boxes such as food quality/kitchen hygiene, services offered, 3 pools, gym, free Wi-Fi, maid service daily, laundry, very large bedrooms with fridge, safe, tv, tea/coffee, evening entertainment

Good bits, the food is truly lovely, massive selection, breakfast obviously the same every day, very fresh and tasty, lunch is big enough to have something different every day without being sick of it, and dinners are awesome, we were luck that they opened the downstairs restaurant on a Thursday (normally just weekends) probably the best food I’ve had in a 4* ever, we had budgeted for 2 nights to eat out as we expected it to be bland and samey, we ate out once due to how nice it was in the hotel, on that note the reason we only ate out was due to the hotel only showing the World Cup semi finals on the tiny bar TVs, they refused to use the projector for some reason even tho Spain was playing 1st .??? Would of been great but what a shame 60 people crowded round a 40”tv we watched it round the corner in a burger bar, the hotel staff are fantastic, bar staff are not shy with the spirits, we had to tell them to stop pouring at one point 😂

Nothing to do with the hotel but the area is so safe, great location, lots of couples, families and small groups of girls. A real safe chilled vibe along the shops/strip to the bars and restaurants 30 second walk to the strip of shops from the hotel and roughly 15/20 min walk to the music square

What knocks it down is that the rooms are tired (revamp this nov) the pool guys test and treat the water every day but ignore the tiled area, if a drink is spilt one day the area is not hosed down the next or even swept daily I saw it washed twice all week, so pool area feels a bit manky, on top of that grout falling out and broken tiles here and there, the “quiet” pool is very chill vibe, plenty on sun beds to go round just not enough umbrellas, no need to get up early with your towels unless you need a umbrella which is a shame, female lifeguard is very strict on keeping this area by the rules, no floaties/toys, keep quiet, no diving. Bit OTT but hey ho, also no poolside toilets or bar up at the quiet pool so it’s a walk to the main area for that, main pool and kids pool is the complete opposite with banging music and games going on, toilets and drinks close by, can’t comment too much on that area as we only used the bar for drinks, the gym always had people in it but we never used it so can’t comment on quality

All in all it is a great chilled hotel, TOP TIP bring your own plastic cups, it’s 1 euro to use Theirs, but they are very small so you will keep needing a refill very quickly, my wife took a stainless steel goblet which held 1/2 bottle of Prosecco at a time 🫣 I had a pint plastic cup, the staff loved the idea
