I need to stop reading the reviews on here before I go away. Spent a week here high season and had a fantastic week. The staff in particular work so hard- in the restaurant/bar and the cleaning staff. The room was always immaculate and it was a great room- air con a god send. Yes the shower floods if you’re not careful as it only has a small lip. There’s a range of food available each day. It could get a bit repetitive if you were here longer than a week. Didn’t really do the entertainment as it’s not our thing. The main pool needs a revamp but I think that’s happening soon anyway. The quiet pool is a lovely bonus- nice tranquil atmosphere. We hired a Balinese bed for a day -20 euros with a bottle of cava which was a nice treat. You’re right near the main strip of restaurants and shops- ideally located. We also walked to the water park which was a good way to kill a few hours - we went on a Sunday and it wasn’t too busy. We also did a day trip to lobos- the buses are really easy to use to the port but it’s not actually too fair to walk. The pools don’t open until 9 and you’re not supposed to reserve beds but everyone does. There are still beds free at the quiet pool mid morning. It is a shame that you go to breakfast and there’s still mess and full bins etc. but I guess you don’t get woken up at 7 by cleaning staff.
We are half way through our stay at the hotel and so far we are disappointed.
WiFi is shockingly bad lasts for about 30 seconds then drops out no matter where you are.
Our room door had to either er be re programmed or according to the receptionist ran out of battery meaning we couldn’t access our room for half an hour and making us late to an excursion we had booked as we had to walk backwards and forward to reception 4 time being fobbed off before demanding a solution to access our room.
The shower in the room flooded the whole bathroom on our first evening. The water did not drain for 30 minutes. When reporting the flood reception advised they said nobody could come and look until the next day and offered us towels to soak it up. To be fair they did fix the drainage.
The bins are not emptied efficiently and therefore overflow frequently.
The rooms, especially the bathroom walls, are very very worn and in need of refurb.
There is no music around the pool.
And lastly, the coffee, whatever option you go for on the machines tastes terrible!
I have stayed at 200 + hotels and have never felt that value for money is so poor - I personally do not feel this is a 4* hotel and would avoid it you are looking to get more for your money :)
Positives - Food is good & the location is excellent!
The worst 4-star all-inclusive experience we have ever had. Before booking our tickets, almost all the reviews we could see were positive, which gave us confidence. Unfortunately, after our stay, we realised that many of the negative experiences seem to be hidden or barely mentioned. The €1 cup rule at the pool is absolutely real. You pay €1 for a cup and must bring the same cup back for another drink, otherwise you pay another €1. Sometimes the cups were not even properly washed, and we ended up with sores around our mouths. The room cleaning was terrible, with dust and dirt around the sofa bed. The food and drinks were very poor, and the evening entertainment was also bad. Even the children’s table tennis bats were broken — they couldn’t even replace them with a cheap new set.Never ever Bluesea hotels in my life. Very disappointing. Two stars at most, and that’s being generous. Don’t waste your money on this hotel. “I didn’t really want to leave a review, but I thought it would be better for others to know what to expect before going there.”
We stayed here as a family of 3 for 11 nights (Aug 8th-19th). Reading the up and down reviews we were wary, however, we had a nice experience. On arrival (21.40) we were pleasantly greeted and given a food/drink bag as dinner had ended. Our room was spacious with no issues whatsoever, we'd paid extra for a pool view and it was well worth it. We were ground floor Room 1021 and were barely 4 or 5 mtrs from the pool. Aircon was excellent with rooms thoroughly cleaned daily. No 'bed wars' and we could easily get a prime location sunbed at 10/10.30. A few niggles (not enough pillows, towels and a slow draining sink) all very promptly sorted within an hour or so of reporting each case. Staff were very pleasant wherever we went, personally could not fault them. Meal of the day was breakfast, usual sausages, bacon etc but plenty of cheeses, cold meats and so on. Well located right next to the main strip, despite being All Inc. we always eat out, some very nice restaurants but all pricier than expected. My only negative(s) were lunch and dinner, no cold meats or cheeses and a very samey feel. Kids option for 11 full days was hot dogs and chips - no burgers, nuggets etc. The same thing over and over! The snacks that start roughly 15.30 were the same......11 days of hot dogs and chips, there was a plentiful supply of salads and fruits, but, 11 days of a hot dog option was not great. Dinner for me limited in options, dont get me wrong, you could make a meal (just) but it was picking at bits and bobs. Found the hotel very clean and personally i like the €1 charge for cups, it meant there were not hundreds of cups by loungers, yes you have to take it back but can be swapped at any time. Would we go back....yes! We also took a ferry to Lanz as a day out, taxi hotel to port was €8 and crossing for 3 €120 with an open return. Enjoyed our time and could not fault the staff etc
Location was great. Hotel was up a side street from a vibrant, lively town with shops, bars & restaurants. Music square at the bottom of the town made for a very enjoyable evening. A waterpark was in walking distance which was fine with 2 older teens for a few hours. Hotel room was fab, large, clean & spacious. Cleaners in daily changing towels and doing the basics. Large bathroom, fab shower, lots of space. Air con worked well. Nice big pool but not the deepest for diving & big jumps & we didn't feel it was well maintained around the pool in terms of cleanliness, the pool seemed to be cleaned most days but the area around it was grubby & sticky with left over rubbish from the day before. Plenty of sunbeds. There is a 2nd quiet pool, we didn't use it so can't comment. Pool bar open 11-6 for drinks & ice creams, sometimes had to queue, didn't bother us. A refundable euro is needed for cups, they will be changed each time if asked. Towels available for 10 euro deposit, refundable. Lack of parasols, didn't bother us. Food okay. We didn't go hungry but there was a lack of choice compared to other holidays we've had. Always pizza, pasta & chips if you want it. There was some nice themed nights in the downstairs restaurant, we particularly enjoyed the Mexican & Chinese night. My kids very much enjoyed breakfast. Snacks available 3.30-5.30 which consisted of doughnuts, pastries, hotdogs, sandwiches, salad, cheap doritos with cheese sauce & fruit salad. We had a reasonable deal so we felt we paid for what we got. Staff work hard & are friendly. Pool table & air hockey available for a few euros. We had a beautiful boat trip to Lobos island booked through the Jet2 app. Entertainment wasn't the best in the evening, by 10.30 it was over & the hotel bar shut at 11. Seating area not big enough for the hotel. 2 entertainment staff doing their best in the day but activities were limited. We cannot comment on kids club. Beach appeared nice, sandy, clear waters, 2 separate beaches with bars & restaurants in between. We would go again for the area but probably Mon-Fri, B&B only.
