Great location close to the beach and shops, restaurants ect. Lovely staff working there you can say they try make Great atmosphere . Rooms look old and need renovations but are good however air con is big minus house had only one fan but this do not help with hot weather. Like for money what I paid could be better. Cleanliness beach towel are not replacing if you want change you must pay at reception €2 other towels been change every day. Noise level So quiet at night. Food every morning same breakfast. Pasta what been left from lunch been served on dinner you can taste this texture that was not fresh cooked but reheated. Every day something different for dinner what was great everyone can find something for yourself To eat. Big minus for me that juices was only for breakfast and not available for lunch or diner. Lifeguard older Spanish man is the best lifeguard there! Your child is safe with him he really look after children to make sure they can swim and are in correct water size, all his shift he is make sure all Children are safe! Entertainment is nothing wow if you are looking something special for evening for children so this is nothing what they will remember for long time. I love the area however if I will be back To Caleta I will Choice different hotel just because of air con issues and with food could be a bit better.
Very very dated, smelly bathrooms, stains in bathtubs, unhelpful staff with complaints don't want to know, not enough sunbeds, dangerous stairs/bridge to upper sun deck....this list goes on. We have been to many hotels and is by far the worst I,ve ever had the misfortune to stay in.
Good staff. Friendly and great canteen and bar staff work hard to meet customers needs.
Pool areas quite small. So get a space early. We prefered the 10 min walk to lovely beach with clear waters, Camal rides and restaurants.
Rooms were basic, and need a refurb and lots have people have commented on here, but nothing has been done to rectify! So to me reflects bad management!
Bad side we asked 2 twice for new shower soap for despensers for both shower rooms. Never arrived! So bought our own.
Lucky for us we were tucked away from pool area.. As only 1 bar which is pool side .. So very noisy entertainment lady till 2300 hrs and music..so those rooms close to pool get no rest bight from that.
The whole place needs a paint job.. It wouldn't take much. And management need to inspect ground daily as areas not cleaned well at walk ways and rooms.
Food was nice. Mixed options, Amstal larger on tap but the allinclusive cups are smaller than half pint which is a pain
Overall a nice holidays for 3 kids 2 adults
Watch out for Ryan air - you have to book a seat if you don't want kids to sit on there own - a scam as they ensure free seats are spread out!! Extra £200 added to holiday!
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.
Our stay at Smy Tahona was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The room was filthy when we arrived, the bed sheets were dirty, the bathroom sink was broken, the mirror was damaged, and there was no air conditioning. We were told that Room 321 had been "newly refurbished" – if that's true, it must have been in 1906!
The whole complex is completely run down. Windows and doors looked like they were falling off their hinges, and the pool bar smelled awful. Don't believe the pictures online because they certainly didn't match what we found.
The reception staff had no interest whatsoever in dealing with complaints. Every issue we raised was met with a shrug of the shoulders, with no attempt to help or resolve anything.
The drinks were dreadful – the alcohol was virtually undrinkable – and the snack bar food was awful. There also weren't anywhere near enough sunbeds for the number of guests staying at the hotel, making it difficult to relax by the pool.
I've stayed in many hotels over the years, but this was on another level. Fawlty Towers is an A* hotel compared to this place. If someone told me Stevie Wonder decorated our room, I'd have believed them.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. Save your money and book somewhere else. Jet2 save your reputation and get this place off your bookings!
The ants enjoyed though, the only positive besides leaving was the weather & location.
A really poor Hotel Run down rooms No Entertainment Maybe you should up date your photos and YouTube video. I wouldn't return if it was free
