3 star with 5 star staff and experience
If i could give zero stars I would. This hotel is not suitable for disabilities, lifts often broken or shaking when u get in them! we were put in a room far away from anything even though we made hotel and jet 2 aware of disabilities in our group before arrival and we even emailed the hotel direct too but they are not bothered. We are currently at the hotel been here 48 hours and we are looking at flights home! Jet 2 not helpful at all ,would never book with them again! Not met one person from entertainment team, we are all beyond bored- trying to fight for a sunbed every day is becoming the only highlight of things to do. Food is bland , barely anything for a vegetarian. Rooms r not too bad for average people but giving us a room with a bath to step into isnβt great when u have physical disabilities, the hotels suggestion is go shower in the other room we booked (we booked a one bed apartment and a double room)
We came for our 2nd visit 26th july for 1 week, our experience was just as good as the 1st so we have booked again for oct half term.we love the place, staff are so lovely we usually go to different places but we love it here.thankyou again Elba and uour lovely staff π
I love Caleta De Fuste, we've been 4x before, but normally stay somewhere else. We came here on a recommendation. We got a taxi from the airport, 17.50 euros. It was quick and easy. Check in at the hotel took a while. I paid 30 euros for the safe, they only took cash for that. They gave us packed lunches as it was late and we left for the room. Water, juice, fruit and a dry sandwich. The room was in the block next door. The lifts were not working. There were comments from others that more than half the lifts were out and due to their mobility issues it was hard to get about to find a working one. A few folk got stuck in them too. The room was more than dated, it was in a state of disrepair. There was chipped and broken tiles, the electrics were sketchy as the lights blinked like a strobe when off and the lamp wires were frayed. The view was of the shops and you were kept awake by people shouting between balconys or from outside the arcade up to the balconys with people shouting to their mates. Then in the morning woken early by the trolleys getting pushed about by staff. I got moved with the help of the very helpful receptionist. We moved to the far side because the hotel was full, so we couldn't upgrade. This time, sea and rock view. Miles better. Room just as dated. It was 30s by day 20s by night. Having the balcony open kept us cool. But be careful of the main door slamming. Shop on site does the job but there's plenty other about. Theres a shop selling loads of brands of booze down from Fado Rock. The hotel had a few cockroaches, but not in the room. Sun loungers situation was terrible. Towels start to go down around 6am. Then you see them kept by Towels for hours. The pools were good. Outside lively and inside a bit less. A bit of a walk from the inside pool.to the bar. The bar did paper cups in the day time. Plastic works, paper doesn't. They go soggy. There was loads left lying under sun loungers. The food was fine for breakfast and lunch, so was the snack bar. The spirits are local, but they pour in loads, the cocktails are so so. But the bar staff were really friendly. Evening meals, no. We always checked, but they were not for us. They cooked fish and chops fresh which was good, but the hotplate wasnt the best. My daughter loved kids club. The day time activities were good too and the animation team were always enthusiastic.
But this hotels not for me. Too dated. Too stressful trying to get a sunbed and the walk to get a drink in a paper cup. Ive been in better 3 stars. The staff were faultless though.
I noticed on the hotel desk a timetable for a free shuttle to other Elba hotels, so you can get around the island for free.
Burger king up past the abandoned water park. Mcdonalds up past the Sheriton Hotel.
We went to the zoo, just booked it online. The bus picks up outside reception. Excellent.
Used the beds at the beach. Excellent.
Saw entertainment at Pieros and Arena Rock. Excellent.
We are at a few places at night.
The beach party twice, excellent.
Wild West Steakhouse was excellent and cheapest.
S75 was the most expensive with no atmosphere.
Pieros. Excellent, but absolutely roasting inside.
Baku smash burger was the best burger I've ever tasted. Zero air-conditioning though. Roasting and no toilet at the restaurant.
Found an amazing family friendly bar. The Hive !!!
Its a slightly different experience at night. I was approached in the street offered drugs 3x. Once about 9pm and twice around 6 or 7pm
Caleta De Fuste yes, 100 percent. This hotel, no.
We have just got back from a fantastic week here 4 adults, 4 chikdren. The location was perfect, everything was within walking distance that we ventured to. We stayed in an one bedroom apartment. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The one thing it is missing is air conditioning. You can hire a fan from the supermarket but we kept our doors open until bedtime which cooled the room down a lot but we did wake up sweating haha!
Now, the Olympic games of the holiday was Sunbed Hunting! We had to be down by 7am to claim beds. A little tip, don't claim your beds and then leave them unattended before 9am as there is a towel attendant that does his rounds and removes any unattended beds. Fair play though to the hotel because people would claim beds and then go out most of the day! The daytime activities were SO fun. The kids barely left the pool. They did inflatable obstacles, water carpets, water bingo, pink party, foam party, water polo and loads more. The evening entertainment was ok. They do a mini disco for the kids but then not really much on afterwards however, we were shattered from all the daytime fun so ended up going bed.
The food was lovely, something for everyone. With fussy kids too they always found something to eat. We did go out for tea a few times to S75 and MyTapass and highly recommend both. The beach is literally a 10 minute walk away. Turn left out of reception, at the end of the road turn right, cross over at the Barcelo hotel and there is a red path at the side of it. Walk down the red path and you are there. For the marina turn left at the end of the red path and follow it round. Really easy! We visited the water park too! Now that is worth a visit. We booked it at the experience place within the hotel. It was amazing!! Overall we had a lovely stay with very happy kids, relaxed parents, lots of memories with a week of fun. We would definitely return. Thank you!
