Not up to the positive reviews!
I cannot believe all the positive reviews for this hotel. This was why I made the choice to stay here. I honestly wish I had chosen a another hotel. The 1 bed appartment was basic but spacious. No aircon, and in Aug it was like sleeping in an oven. The hotel details this in their desciption. The room we got was directly across from other rooms, not a great outlook with no privacy. Best to book a seaview rm. The beds/pillows were very comfy. The food was not the best. Salads were nice but meats etc not to my liking. There were choices but food poor_tasteless.. I was all inclusive and wish it was just room only due to not liking food. The restaurant was more like a canteen. Kids running around by themselves no doubt being supervised from a distance. Not a pleasant area to eat your meals in. Sitting at night trying to relax was impossible. Kids again running, playing football, screaming etc where people were drinking and trying to relax. I have kids and get that they are on holiday too. This is not a hotel for adults only, unless you like chaos. The beer was cruz campo, so very nice. Had to wait a long time to get served at the bar. Adult entertainment was poor. We went to The Dog & Duck (does not belong to the hotel). Worth it to get peace and a nice cocktail with good prices. I am just glad I only booked gor the week.

Smoking - People seem to forget that even though it is not a rule here, the non-smokers dont want to sit breathing in your vile smoke/vape every 30seconds! Water- no bottled water given for room or anything all dispensed from a water machiene. Bring a refillable bottle! Sunbeds - Main Pool (Sea View) is where all the entertainment is, people will be there guarding beds from early on. The San Jorge side is quieter. The guy comes and removes towels at approx 8.30am, of you want one that gets sun 75% of the day you would need to be down by 8am and sit there. Entertainment - repeats on a weekly basis so if you do 2 weeks you will see the same singers, musicians twice, entertainment team stick by main pool, they come to the San Jorge Side twice per week. Local Resturants, lots of choice. We were all inclusive tried Fado Rock, extremley busy but very good 6 drinks, 4 mains (1 of which was tbone steak) = €88, also Punjabi Massala was unreal, 9 Drinks, 3 Starters, 3 mains, 3 Sides, nanbread and pompadums/pickle tray = €99 Beach - 10min walk 3x sunbeds €17.50 Room - Basic! Defo need refurb. Clean, comfortable does the job. Cleaned daily, towel change everyother day and bedding only changed 1 x weekly. Safe was €10deposit and €3 daily - was about £42 for 2 weeks. AirCon- (lack of) we personally couldnt stand this and had to hire fans (life saver) all the people saying just leave windows/balcony open for breeze i duno how they can. Its not a secure hotel anyone can wonder about, easily climbed in windows and a 15yr old girl sleeping in the living room - no thanks. Food- themed nights everyday, mexican, chinese etc, its nice and 3☆ worthy. If your fussy dont book all inclusive. Drinks- Cruzcampo on draught(not watered down) ameretto, vodka, cocktails all lovely, wine is ok and they will give you the bottle. Cleanliness - people leaving rubbish everywhere but the staff work very hard to try and keep tidy. Late Check Out - got to wait till day before its 12noon check out, €25 to keep till 2pm and €50 tp keep to 6pm. This is only based on how busy hotel is and first come first served, we went at 7am day before and were told flat no. The communal shower is less than desirable so lost our last day as out of room at 12 and pick up 19.30 😔 Overall its a nice basic hotel.

horribe - the hotel itself is ok, its just the people in it!!
dont really know where to start!? the clientele were awful, had to listen to a family argue most nights from about 2;30am!! no air con in any rooms??!!! so therefore had to keep doors open which just magnified the family arguments all the more!! had a cockroach running around in the fridge!! lifts out of service. Restaurant food was simply mush, we thought we had covid as we couldn't taste anything! the smoking/vaping was not separated from the non-smokers at all. the pool was overcrowded with too many inflatables. slow bar service, the drinks were all watered down & given in paper cups. can not believe this is a 3 star hotel?!

Good budget option
We stayed for 10 days as a family of four. My daughter is gluten free and the restaurant staff were very helpful, especially Mercedes. They helped with what my daughter could eat and brining to the table. There was always fresh fish and meat being grilled and lots of salad options. Some themed nights. We were HB and could swap dinner to lunch if we wanted. There is a nice Indian nearly and lots of other restaurants if you want to eat out.
The entertainment/kids club team worked really hard, entertainment and activities around the pools was fun, our kids loved the foam party and pool parties. Evening entertainment was repeated after the week but we like to go for a walk into town so it didn’t bother us. My youngest loves Pepe and the dances the team put together and would do some nights at the end of the evening entertainment.
Reception staff were really helpful, especially Sam and Katy. We needed a doctor and they were brilliant.
The rooms are basic, we don’t spend a lot of time in the room so we don’t mind. We like the separate bedroom to give more space. We hired two fans and there is a nice breeze with the balcony doors open. Some small updates in the rooms would make a difference, providing fans would also be helpful rather than having to go to the shop and see if they are available. Rooms were kept clean and towels changed every couple of days. Housekeeping were quick to help when we requested more pillows.
The pools and surrounding areas were all very clean. Towels were removed some days when left for a long time. There were always plenty of sun beds around 8/8.30.
The beach is lovely, clean, toilets and clear shallow water. Sunbeds and a parasol isn’t too expensive either.

Hi stayed for 2 weeks in August with my 5 year old the location of the hotel by the sea with the view was outstanding the atmosphere was amazing we had one of the best holidays and brought back so many fantastic memories the rooms were big and very clean beds really comfy and was cleaned daily my daughter struggles to eat on holiday but we could not get her to stop the food was fantastic the fact that their was entertainment all day everyday was brilliant the staff were incredible with the children aswell as the adults the pools were spotless always someone tidying all in all I would give it more stars 🌟 than 3 thank you so much for an amazing experience
