Booked this hotel many months ago and started looking at reviews a month before arrival. At the time was extremely worried from all the negativity of the reviews and wondered why I didn’t look at the booking stage.
On arrival, late at night, the reception staff were extremely welcoming and directed us to the restaurant for food, if we were hungry, which was a lovely touch.
Overall we had a really good stay at the hotel. Our rooms were cleaned daily; the staff work extremely hard and we had no problems finding sun beds or places to sit in the restaurant.
The Italian restaurant experience was a fantastic change from the buffet offered in the main dining area - would definitely recommend but book early as they only open Monday-Wednesday.
The main dining area offered theme nights - I am a fussy eater and not keen on food from around the world but I still managed to find a full plate of food to eat.
The entertainment area could do with an improvement as not a very big area so, unless you get there early, you have no hope of getting a seat anywhere.
My advice is - a holiday is what you make it and don’t stress on others opinions (like I did) - We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite the copious amounts of flies.

We still here on our 2nd week now pool is beautiful jacuzzi is hot we read some reviews before we came but all is good bit shabby in some areas could do with a good clean in some places especially sun beds food is very nice great choice the ala carte italian is a must the cold meats on the salad are excellent quality will be back next year

This hotel has all the amenities required to have a great holiday. The beds are super comfortable and the housekeeping team keep the rooms spotless, not just during change over but during your stay too. Any issues, so for us, a problem with our door not locking was dealt with within 5 minutes.
Unfortunately for me, I had an accident within my first 24 hours in resort and suffered a fractured clavicle bone, however as soon as the hotel staff were aware they took no time in breaking the door down to get me the help I needed, (thank you Yoseve, for taking the matters into you own hands and for the following 10 days checking on me daily. Also, thank you to Elisa for getting me the medical assistance I needed.
Yes, this hotel isn’t brand new, but it’s comfortable, accommodating and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I would definitely return. Thank you Elba staff
I have stayed a few times before at various times of year & upon check in we were upgraded to a Junior suite. The room was fab & although no sun on our 2 balconies it meant the rooms were quite cool . The food was very good lots of choice & yes you can always find fault but the staff work like trojans throughout the hotel which is why many people return here. We were unlucky that the Calima was still affecting the weather but our last 3 days were hot 🔥 I really like this hotel yes it does look a bit tired but it's not 4 stars UK it's Spanish 4 stars it makes a difference
Disappointed, I would not rate this hotel a four star . The actual hotel itself was ok just very tired looking . We did have daily maid service and our room was nice and quiet . What really let this hotel down was the food , lots of choice but it all tasted the same , no flavour and the cheese and salad were hot , the lunch I never had as it looked awful. The rule about the beach towels never happens , no one takes them Away and lots of towels on them all Day . Entertainment at night is very short around 45 minutes and a bit meh. The drinks are watered down , the cocktails are the worst like slushy drinks full of ice and can’t taste the alcohol . The beach is ok but only one food place on there and that was always packed .strongly recommend walking into town some nice little restaurants there and a nice vibe but mostly Italian . Entertainment was only 45 mins long every other eve and lounge busy. Coffee was awful ,diddnt matter which one you chose they were so weak to didn’t bother with that anymore.
The sunbeds were very dirty and needed a clean and due to the weather not being great we were lucky to be able to get one but not sure you would be able to in normal circumstances.
Just felt very letdown and very disappointed. We waited so long to be able to go on holiday and it just looked very tired. Lack cluster hotel in the ate out five nights out of seven because we just couldn’t face the food in the evening. The best thing was the bed very large .
