As the name suggests, you'll have direct access to the beach and the promenade, perfect for a stroll as the waves break on the beach, or for a lazy day sunbathing. You'll also find lots of resort facilities nearby, whether you want to shop for souvenirs, have a meal or a cool drink, or socialise with other visitors - the choice is yours.
Facilities at the Elba Carlota Beach include a choice of wonderfully inviting swimming pools with ample space for loungers alongside. There is also a gym, Jacuzzi and sauna if you want to relax, as well as mini golf, table tennis and a shooting range if you want a bit of fun. For a change of scene, take the shuttle bus to one of the Elba Carlota Beach sister hotels, or head for the golf course and while away a few hours.
You'll be comfortable here too. Double air conditioned rooms are spacious and tastefully designed with en suite bathroom. Facilities include a satellite TV, hairdryer, safe, telephone and mini-bar (on request). Double sea view rooms are available at a supplement.

The location and hotel looked gorgeous. The staff were all hardworking and lovely, in fact overworked! The rooms are a little tiered and we had to ask 3 times to sort our shower as it was overflowing. Also think it’s not acceptable to not have bottles of water when AI in your room. Air conditioning also wasn’t great. The food was good, mostly hot and a good choice. Accessibility was generally good as well. 2 points the slope outside the hotel was too steep, and needs extending I nearly fell out of my wheelchair and there needs to be a handrail for the slope of a the pool.
This was our first time at the Elba Carlotta and we will not be going back. As far as the hotel goes, it’s a nice enough hotel. The pool is lovely, it’s clean and staff are pleasant. However the food for the Asian night was awful and the rest of the food was substantial. The only night we were impressed with was the Mexican food night. As for the pool it was lovely to look at but there were not enough sunbeds, especially in ratio to the umbrellas so you had to sit out baking without shade some of the days. The speaker to the pool was also far too loud! It was so loud and had very club like music and bass that literally made me look at getting a transfer. We had to go to the beach (which was lovely) for the rest of the day as we couldn’t stand it any longer. We later learned in the trip when it was on for the activities so went to lunch or the beach to avoid the extra loud times. But it made the pool area far less enjoyable. One bar was only open at a time and with one or two staff members working it, queues were super long. The staff were trying their best but couldn’t keep up with the amount of people.
I will not be returning to the Elba chain in future and I hate to post a bad review but as someone who’s done a lot of all inclusive holidays this was by far the worst we’ve been on.
All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were adequate but no luxury. Bed comfortable, plenty of hangers and a safe you had to pay for. Tea & coffee making facilities was a kettle 2 cups & some sachets of coffee sugar & milk. These did not get replenished so kept visiting reception for top ups. As everybody else has said the queuing for the bar was unbelievable. How can a hotel of this size operate with only one bar open in the evening manned by two staff. Ridiculous. Get 2 drinks each time so at least you can spend some time with your partner/family/ friends. Had to queue every night for approx 15 minutes. The pool bar is only open in the day and same queues all day. Some respite around 13.00 when people went off for lunch. Food was good but repetitive. Mostly warm not hot. The beach is at the back of the hotel across the promenade. It is not a private beach so you had yo pay for the sunbeds. 4 euros per bed and an extra 4 euros if you want an umbrella. Sunbeds quite comfortable but are getting old & need replacing. No problems getting a sunbed at any time of the day but there was just 2 of us and didn't mind where we sat. There are 3 pools. Baby pool, heated pool where all the activities take place & pretty noisy once the music starts. The so called quiet pool was not heated and was immediately next to the heated pool so still hear the music although not so loud. If you want a quick week away in the sun & don't expect too much then this is the place for you although expect to queue for half your holiday.
This is my honest review: overall my holidays were good at this hotel but there are couple of details that made not coming back to this hotel. In my first breakfast me and my family went to eat outside and I saw loads of cockroaches on the floor. They were death but this kinda mess with your head when you are at the food place, after this I didn’t eat anymore outside. The places are marked with NO SMOKE however the nonsense customers keeps overwriting this rules and smoking where ever they want but unfortunately there isn’t one member of staff that advise them. The hotel is amazingly located, you leave the hotel and you are on the beach, when we went the beach was not crowded at all so was really calm and nice. The pools are reasonably clean however if you have kids don’t trust the picture with the kids pool, looks amazing and is very different. There is a turtle and a sea lion that suppouse to throw water and doesn’t work.. disappointing this pool not even my 3 year old wanted to be there. The middle pool is very nice as is very warm. There is a jacuzzi really nice, that have a warning for older than 16 but there are 3 years old inside, kids making jumps and not one staff cares about it. The animation team is really nice, friendly always with the games and things to entertain however the kids club is death. It seems more a wear house to keep everything the animation team uses for the themes. The clearness of this hotel is a bit poor, the tables are always dirty, with little bugs around, the plates, mugs, glasses all dirty I needed to clean them all the time before use them. I understand they go to a dishwasher and can come dirty as is to many people but for 4 star hotel I think they should check this properly. I didn’t find only one plate or one glass was constantly.. rest of food, lipstick marks.. At the end of my stay they give us a “courtesy shower room” which was disgusting. The previous guest did tell them how the room was and they still handed the card to us to go to take this shower before our flight. No air con on a room with the sun directly hitting the window, full of towels from previous guests all over the floor, absolutely disgusting so if you need this shower bear this in mind. There is a couple of cats around the hotel which for me was no problem, is cute some guests like to feed them and pet them. They stay directly in the pool chairs and inside. The most percent of the staff is really nice, ones more than others. They did apologise for the disgusting shower room by the way. You have a supermarket inside a mall very near by and an arcade to have fun. So like I said overall was a nice holiday, we had a lot of fun but would I be back at this hotel? Nop I wouldn’t.
Sadly this is an uncomfortable hotel not worthy of it's 4 star rating. The walls are paper thin you can hear everything next door and you spend your days listening to heavy chairs being scraped across balconies . Wifi never reached our room and the pool area is like a nightclub during the day. The staff seem totally disinterested. My daughter and get husband had dinner and it was cold
