Caybeach Caleta

Myself and husband stayed at Caybeach from the 7th to 17th Sept 2026. Unlike some of the bad reviews who mention sunbed wars, this situation is not unique to Caybeach, it happens everywhere. Over the 10 days, my husband went for a swim at 10am everyday and only on 2 occasions after fetching the towels from the room at 10.30 we could not get a bed. If u can’t get a bed it’s a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach where there’s loads of beds. As Caybeach has open plan apartments, it’s always going to be accessible to opportunists that try doors hoping to find one open. You wouldn’t leave your door unlocked at home while u went out so don’t do it at Caybeach and you’ll be ok. Cleaning of the rooms was punctual apart from the Thursdays and Sundays which they are not cleaned and this is stated on the paperwork. If u don’t wish your room to be cleaned, you are asked to sign a form which covers the cleaners. As for the cleaners, they are always about and do a great job. Rooms are adequate for self catering, large living area, shower room, bedroom with air con and a large patio with table and chairs and sun loungers. One review mentioned there was no gym or sauna, this is actually located behind room 501 but u have to get the key from reception. As for the team at Caybeach from the bar staff, cleaners, maintenance and receptionists we can’t fault their hard work. A special mention to Kate in reception who is an absolute credit to Caybeach, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. We have just had our 3rd visit to Caybeach in 12 months and have already booked for June and September next year bringing our family and also meeting up with holiday makers whom we’ve met at Caybeach on previous visits. So, in a nut shell, Caybeach is not as bad as some of the reviews. While in Caleta, Do what you do at home and remember it’s a holiday destination and there’s always someone to want to take advantage.

We’ve read many reviews on Caybeach - well, here is ours totally without bias or prejudice after day eight of eleven. We have enjoyed our time here, the accommodation whilst basic served our needs, we spent little time in the bungalow. Maid service was regular, towels were changed most days, the kitchenette enabled us to prepare a salad at lunchtime.the pool area was spotlessly clean, the music however, could be played at a lower volume. The pool bar with its chips, pizzas, hot dog’s and burgers are not our thing. Not everyone wants to hear Spotify all day long especially rap and drum & bass. We cannot comment upon the restaurant, entertainment, or indeed any (if any) of the recreational facilities on offer. Of note many guests complain of the old sun bed chestnut. As for us we have been holidaying in warmer climes for over fifty years and cannot help but smile at the antics employed by many of those entitled guests pursuing their perceived rite to a sun-bed, umbrella, pointing due south regardless of whether they are using them or not. The resort is disabled friendly with all areas accessible to wheelchair users. We have however witnessed numerous guests both able bodied and those not so using disability scooters. Maybe a nod to Benidorm… The myth that reserving sun- beds is the domain of the Germans is definitely not true! As previously stated Caybeach has suited us just fine, we found it’s location close enough to experience all of what Caleta has to offer, we will not return as we much prefer Corralejo or El Catillo as a resort but that’s another story!
