We found bedbugs in our room, which bit us very badly over three days. It is terrible that you go on vacation and encounter bedbugs there, which you might even bring back home with you. This is simply awful; it is unacceptable. This ruined our experience as vacationers and tourists. Our entire vacation turned out terrible after these incidents.

Unfortunately, our stay did not quite live up to expectations. There were several issues which, taken together, made it feel as though the hotel was struggling to keep up with the number of guests.

On several occasions, our room was not cleaned despite leaving the housekeeping sign on the door throughout the day. We also spoke to reception when this happened. On another occasion, the room was serviced but we were left without the towels and toilet paper we needed, meaning we had to go and get these ourselves.

We also experienced issues with the Wi-Fi, and found the digital room-key app unnecessarily difficult to use. At one point it logged both of us out and required us to enter our details again. When my phone died and I needed a physical key, reception provided one very quickly, which I appreciated, but I was surprised that I wasn't asked for ID before being given access to the room. This did make me feel somewhat uneasy from a security perspective.

The elevator also broke down twice during our stay.

The most concerning incident happened during high winds at the pool, when an umbrella was caught by the wind and flew off the pool level, falling several stories below. It was genuinely frightening, and we didn't feel the situation was being monitored or treated with the seriousness we would have expected.

We contacted the hotel directly afterwards to share our feedback before leaving a review. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the response. Some of our concerns were disputed because the hotel had no record of them, despite us having spoken to reception about the housekeeping at the time, while some of the other issues we raised were not addressed.

The hotel did offer assistance with a future booking, including a favourable rate and possible upgrade, which we appreciate. However, the way our concerns were ultimately handled has unfortunately made us less inclined to return.

There were positive aspects to our stay, but overall there were simply too many issues for us to feel the experience matched what we had expected from the hotel.

Hotel is lovely, very clean. However towels were not changed in 5 days. Breakfast was tasteless and normally cold. The (triangular) pool was not big enough for all the guests and the surounding area was extremely slippy (we witnessed two relatively bad accidents, one needing a hospital visit, please note alcohol was not the cause) the wet surface was. We booked a double bed, but was given two singles, when we moved them together the maid separated them EVERY SINGLE DAY? They take 3.5 Euros every day for the safe. But aircon is free. Every hour you arrive before your entry time they will charge you 10 Euros to get into your room, so the room is there, but they will take more money off you because you had an early flight. We would stay again, but would not eat there as there are plenty of other options. There is a great Irish Bar 10 mins walk away. We would also stand by our booking and insist on the double bed. We would also take a later flight time. Security for stored luggage is not great Anyone could get access to your bag if it is not lockable the store room is accessable to anyone who requests access. There is no ticket system.
