Tent Torremelinous is a great Hotel. We stayed for 9 days in early September 26 and it was a great base for us.
The rooms are freshly cleaned every day and fresh bed sheets and towels replaced. The rooms are basic but perfect for what you need.
The food set up is a massive plus for this hotel, we used Tent as a base, woke up, had a hearty breakfast which is served from 0800 - 1330 so you can always return for a lunch if needed. There is a huge selection available from fruit, croissants, yoghurts and cereal to pastries and a cooked breakfast of sausage, bacon, eggs, toast, beans, mushrooms etc
There’s a good selection of drinks aswell from hot tea and coffees through to juices and smoothies. They literally cater for all requirements.
The hotel has a modern look and is well kept. The hotel rooms are accessed via an app for ease which is easy to use, another good feature.
Quite honestly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we never felt comfortable, and by the end of the stay we felt genuinely unsafe.
The men in the room next door were up until all hours, making an unbelievable amount of noise and what can only be described as extremely loud and passionate noises. It was completely inappropriate for a hotel environment and made getting any sleep virtually impossible.
Then, at around 6:30am, my partner encountered a completely naked man in the hallway. There is absolutely nothing normal or acceptable about having to walk past a naked stranger in a hotel corridor first thing in the morning. There was also children staying at this hotel.
We reported our concerns to reception and made it very clear that we did not feel safe or comfortable. Despite raising this, the whole stay remained an incredibly unpleasant and unsettling experience. We also felt dismissed by the members of staff who we reported it to, one in particular laughed it off.
A hotel should provide somewhere safe, private and comfortable to sleep. Instead, we were subjected to excessive noise throughout the night, completely inappropriate behaviour in the communal areas and an atmosphere that left us feeling uncomfortable for the entirety of our stay.
We would absolutely not stay here again and would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice. For the money you pay, you should be able to expect a basic level of safety, privacy and peace — unfortunately, we got none of those.
This is our second stay at tent Torremolinos, which I think already speaks volumes!
The location is excellent. Walk out of the hotel and within just a few minutes you’re right in the heart of Torremolinos, with everything within easy reach.
The rooms are clean and spacious, and the hotel bar and lobby area is a really nice space to meet up, have a drink and simply chill out. The bar prices are excellent and we were really impressed with the quality of the drinks too.
But the thing I absolutely love about this hotel is the brunch!
It runs from 7am until 1pm, so rather than being tied to a traditional breakfast time, it effectively takes care of both breakfast and lunch. It’s such a great idea and makes the whole stay feel much more relaxed.
We tended to go down early for breakfast, head out for a walk and explore for a few hours, then pop back in for a snack before brunch finished at 1pm. It worked perfectly for us and meant there was no rushing around in the morning.
The brunch area itself is also a really lovely space to sit and spend some time, rather than somewhere you just want to eat and leave.
As I said at the beginning, this is our second stay here. There are plenty of hotels to choose from in Torremolinos, but we chose to come back to this one.
I think that says it all.
Check in was a nightmare 1.5 hrs to check in on a machine ,which no one can work,it was packed at check in ,then had to download app on to moby ,which had key on to open room ,which we could never work,so took ages everytime. In room was dated ,beds were dated and kept sliding around ,bedding made us itch. 1st morning went swimming pool small but ok ,after swim hung my towell and shorts on back of chair ,when we came back later that day ,they were gone ,no one knew where,asked cleaner and reception but no one knew. Rest of weak went ok,but for getting in room,food in hotel was ok,but got boring after 2 days ,so never ate there again,as it was same everyday. Bar was ok ,but no one ever behind it ,so didnt bother using it. Hotel ideally placed ,and taxi to airport only €16 e/way,wouldnt stay again ,because of check in.
I stayed in Tent for 4 nights with my partner and we had the best time!!! Pepe who helped us check in was so lovely, as well as the lady working in the pool bar (didn't get her name unfortunately). The room was clean and spacious with a gorgeous view from the balcony. Breakfast buffet was fantastic!!!! A wide range of food - all so delicious and having the 8am - 1:30pm availability was fantastic. The communal area is cozy and well looked after, we felt so safe when sitting down there. Although small the pool is clean and the perfect temperature. The location is incredible, only a few minutes walk into the town and behind the hotel is a staircase that takes you almost directly to the seafront. It's also only a 15 minute walk from Aqualand waterpark which is great if you love that sort of thing!! Given that we only paid around £300 for the week I am beyond happy with our experience for such a great price. The only downside I would say is that the walls are rather thin, in the morning you can hear the cleaners moving beds in the surrounding rooms but other than that we had no issues with noisy neighbours.
We will absolutely be returning next time we come to Torremolinos, thank you so much 💗
