Another enjoyable week
I have only just got around to doing this review but better late than never. we had been twice before so had a good idea what to expect. We had a studio on the 11th floor and the views were wonderful. The room was clean and big enough for two of us. We would have liked some drawers for our clothes but that is a small point really. There was a shelf unit which we used but it was strange there was no drawer unit when there was space for one. The kitchen is very basic but we managed to make some meals . Where this hotel really scores is its location. The beach is a few steps away from the rear entrance and it is easy to walk to the marina. It is also very close to the Carvery which is one of the best restaurants we have visited in this area. There are a couple of small supermarkets just across the road from the front entrance and a larger one a few minutes walk away. We thought the bar prices were a little expensive but not outrageous. The staff are always pleasant in our experience. Our visits have all been for a week prior to going along the coast to our timeshare and we would certainly stay again.

Sunbed problems
Have been staying next door at the Ocean House for years but decided to try here for the value & now it has been taken over by the usually exceptional Melia Group. Pool side entertainment & staff where great along with the bar staff. Kitchen is handy for self catering breakfasts etc. The pool sunbeds are a major problem hence the 2 star review. If you go at 8am there will be no beds available , 7am & possibly get a bed with an umbrella. Failing that its 8 euros a bed at the beach beds which the hotel owns & operates, having 2 young children we had to incur this added expense. There is plenty more space around the grass gardens away from the pool area that could be utilized with more beds & umbrellas to provide for hotel residents or even an extra pool as the main pool is absolutely rammed. Because of this reason i would not return with my family however i would return for a short break with my wife. Hopefully under the new owners this will be resolved.

Amazing!
Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to go to Torremolinos! Perfect location on the beach and near the Marina.
Rooms were modern and clean, we were randomly upgraded to an apartment which was very spacious! Room has a good size safe, nice sea view balcony (most rooms will see the sea).
A coded gate by pool gave you access straight onto the promenade/sea front (until midnight).
€8 each for comfy beds on the beach (brolly included) which I think is really reasonable!
The pool area can be busy but we still found beds to use when we went at 11am and 4pm on a few days. Pool is small and in an ideal world a bigger pool would be better. Pool bar was perfect. Great staff and reasonable price.
Breakfast was very good! Lots to choose from, all very fresh and cooked well, some changes each morning too. Try get a table outside as it’s a nice way to enjoy an hour or so with coffee and breakfast.
The onsite shop is fab, fully stocked and good prices.
Would return in future!!

Hotel
We had a brilliant stay at Sol Puerta Marina in Benalmadena. The apartments were spotless, comfortable, and in a great location, with everything we needed close by. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed throughout our stay.
A special mention has to go to Pablo, who was outstanding. He went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and always greeted us with a smile. His excellent customer service really made our holiday even more enjoyable.
We would happily recommend Sol Puerta Marina to anyone visiting Benalmadena and will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you to Pablo and all the team for making our stay so memorable!

Fab family hotel.
Fab hotel, we had a 2 bed apartment and it was very modern. Very clean and a decent size for 2 adults and 3 children. Friendly helpful staff, all amenities you need in the hotel or across the road in the many supermarkets and shops. Entertainment was the best we have had in a long time.. great fun and inclusive.. Close to the beautiful marina where your surrounded by restaurants and shops. Pool bar has a lovely menu for during the day. 11 minutes in an Uber from the airport. !! Ideal with children.. Will def be returning next year.
