The Sandos Griego Hotel situated right in the centre of TORREMOLINOS, means guests can visit the city¿s main places of interest on foot. Of particular note are the panoramic views of the swimming pool. It's 414 rooms are the perfect place in which to relax after a day of activities. We have Cot and High Chair for children. The facilities Sun beds are rounded off with the pool.
Be sure to enjoy recreational amenities including an outdoor pool and a fitness centre. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and gift shops/newsstands. Getting to the surf and sand is a breeze with the complimentary beach shuttle.
I would never stay at this hotel again. It was absolutely dreadful. Lift were hanging out. Why is everywhere? The pool area was absolutely filthy couldn’t even get in the pool. It was full of grime this hotel not look like it’s pictures advertised. It was absolutely dreadful. I know you pay for what you get what this was beyond what I thought it was food was okay edible the bedrooms were very clean for old and very small but safe to say I wouldn’t stay at this hotel free. I would say this was I wanted to star definitely not a four
While the central location is convenient and the buffet food was surprisingly decent, the rest of the experience fell completely short of expectations.
A lot of guests were notably rough and rowdy throughout the week, culminating in a full physical fight breaking out right by the pool during the day.
The outdoor facilities are poorly maintained. Multiple parasols around the pool area were broken and unsecured, blowing freely across the sunbed area whenever the wind picked up.
Daytime activities were advertised to start during our stay, but the schedule was pushed back and delayed without any real communication.
Customer service was frustratingly poor. Some of the staff were consistently rude, uninterested, and dismissive whenever guests raised basic issues or asked for assistance.
Beyond having a quick meal or stepping out into town, there is very little to recommend about this hotel. I definitely won't be returning.
My partner and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the beds made up daily, room cleaned and fresh towels.
There was a kettle supplied in the room and 2 cups but no tea, coffee, sugar or milk. We picked these items up from a nearby shop however, I believe these items really should be supplied by the hotel.
The food and drinks we had at the hotel were good. We always found plenty of choice. We did also try the food and drink at the bar near the beach which were also good.
We didnt get the bus to the beach just a personal choice we preferred to go when we wanted and leave when we chose. The price for the sun loungers was €16 for 2 beds the first day and half price for the second day. However there isnt very much at that part of the beach so we chose to visit another area of the beach where there are bars on the beach.
The hotel is large and the outside space isnt really sufficient for the amount of guests at the hotel although the do try to make it work.
Overall we found the hotel clean and comfortable for the price paid we just felt a couple of little tweaks would have made it a better experience
Not a bad location it’s at the top of the town, very Spanish orientated hotel , food not the best the only saving grace is the giaconda restaurant which is only available once in a weeks stay. Dinner hall is a free for all with pushing and shoving and just purely ignorant people, snack bar is terrible , drinks are as you’d expect local shorts you could drink till the cows come home , pool if your not down by 08:30 sat on a chair you’ll be in the shade all the time, nothing for the kids to do all the games are predominately in Spanish , peeps bar again predominately Spanish speaking , cafe greigo was ok for coffee. The basic rooms there’s no tea or coffee provided now saying we payed just short of £2900 for a week you’d expect tea and coffee , we had a few things go missing from out room only trivial things like a bag of marshmallows a and some sweets , lifts you’ll be queuing . Cleanliness is not up to scratch there was a dead cockroach on the stairwell for 4 days . We would definitely never go back .
I specifically chose Sandos Griego for my birthday trip because I previously stayed at a Sandos hotel in Benidorm and had an amazing experience there. Unfortunately, Sandos Griego feels like a completely different standard.
I am only on my second day here and I already deeply regret choosing this hotel, especially for a special occasion like my birthday.
The hotel is extremely crowded, yet there is only one main pool for such a large number of guests. The food is quite repetitive and the selection is much more limited than I expected from a 4-star all-inclusive hotel.
The beach shuttle and beach bar arrangements are particularly frustrating. There is a timetable for the shuttle, but there are not enough seats for everyone. You have to queue, and if the bus is full, you simply have to wait for another one, wasting part of your holiday just trying to get to the beach.
Communication is another major issue. We booked All Inclusive and knew there was a Sandos beach bar, but nobody explained at check-in how access actually works. We only discovered because we specifically asked reception that a code is required to use the beach bar. As first-time guests, how are we supposed to know this? Basic information like this should be clearly explained at check-in rather than guests having to repeatedly ask questions themselves.
Housekeeping has also been very disappointing. When we first entered the room, there were numerous long black hairs on the floor. After housekeeping the following day, the floor was still dirty, the bathroom bin had not been emptied, and the hand soap had not been refilled.
I genuinely do not understand what justifies the 4-star rating based on my experience so far.
What makes this even more upsetting is that I deliberately chose this hotel for my birthday and still have several days of my stay remaining. Instead of enjoying and looking forward to the rest of my holiday, I am already disappointed and wishing I had chosen somewhere else.
After my previous excellent experience with Sandos in Benidorm, I expected a similar level of quality. Sadly, Sandos Griego has so far been nowhere near that standard.
