The Sandos Griego Hotel situated right in the centre of TORREMOLINOS, means guests can visit the city¿s main places of interest on foot. Of particular note are the panoramic views of the swimming pool. It's 414 rooms are the perfect place in which to relax after a day of activities. We have Cot and High Chair for children. The facilities Sun beds are rounded off with the pool.
Be sure to enjoy recreational amenities including an outdoor pool and a fitness centre. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and gift shops/newsstands. Getting to the surf and sand is a breeze with the complimentary beach shuttle.
Seriously. Don't waste your money...it was just awful.
Only positive was the laundry room and the Food was great and tasty. Lots of choices. otherwise it was ,zero stars. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel..ot was a 2star if anything. Definitely not 4. My bathroom was not fit for any human. I couldn't fit in only sideways and that was a struggle. Bathroom was like something from the 80s. They said they had no other room to move me to that day..I was only staying 4 nights thankfully so I just left it because it seemed too much of an effort at reception. I think the hotel prefers Spanish guests. I was feeling dismissed. MyRoom was so basic. Pool area was like a concrete jungle and it seemed tense as people were out early waiting on the sunbeds to be unlocked at 9am. People sat around the pool from 7am trying to get a spot. Not enough space around the pool. Everyone was on top of each other. Worst I have ever experienced. The sun was gone from most of the pool by about 3pm.... There was a solarium on 8th floor. Awful area. Probably fine if you just want to sunbathe and close your eyes. No atmosphere..no pool up there. Just beds and a dirty area to pour your own drink. No bathroom either so you have to go to the 1st floor or your room. The lift's were ancient.. scary. I told the lifeguard one morning at 10am that there was a broken glass on the steps beside him, under the bar table and beside the steps leading into the pool. I checked he spoke English before I mentioned it. He said he would move it. He continued to put on his suncream, then he ate his sandwich. 10 mintues later I then went inside to ask the bar staff to help. I was terrified a child or anyone would stand on it. Especially as it was in the area of the steps into the pool so people would be barefoot.No point in having a lifeguard sitting there with his first aid box if he wasn't willing to remove the glass. I ended up picking up the larger pieces of glass with the bar staff as she sweep the ground. I noticed about 20 mins later another woman point out the glass in the area that was missed.. I know it wasn't their fault it was there because no glasses are served in that area so it was obviously there from the night before if a guest dropped it.
One good thing. The food was good despite the area been a strange layout and again people on top of each other and you have to squeeze and manoeuvre in between tables. The other restaurant can be booked. I tried it once. Nice food but meat was as tough as a boot. I personally would not return to this hotel if I got it for free. I'm not a complainer. I'm a former hotel receptionist. I have listened to petty complaints but seriously don't waste your money on this place.
Thankfully I was moving to another hotel for the last few days. It wasn't a huge difference in price but it was amazing and a proper 4 star..
Great location. Loads of bars 5/10 mins walking distance. Beach is a farther walk but very good. Train station is nearby, again 5/10 mins walk. Booked before looking at reviews, when i seen them i was skeptical but honestly dont believe what you read on here. Rooms very clean and maids everyday. Was very affordable to book. Entertainment is okay. Loads of bars and there is even a “nightclub” in the hotel. Good atmosphere, everyone friendly including staff. Walls seem paper thin, can hear noise but not to the point i wouldnt advise booking lol.
I stayed here in Sept 2026 with my husband. We had a great experience at this hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean. The whole hotel was well maintained and staff worked hard day and night to keep all areas clean. The food was great. Plentiful and a lot of choices. Every evening there was entertainment which we looked forward to and enjoyed. The location of this hotel is a 2 minute walk from the town, which was perfect for us. We also got the free bus to and from the hotels beach bar. You get a lot for your money at this hotel. The only downside was talking to moaning Brits at the hotel. I guess some people are never satisfied . We live in a holiday resort in Devon. For what we paid for our week all inclusive in this hotel, you wouldn't get a caravan in Devon. We have not one single complaint about this hotel and would definitely recommend it.
Great hotel. 17 of us went, age range from 16 to 78. Drinks were good with every drink you can think of available. All inclusive food was good, you can always find something to eat. Location is great, train from Malaga airport 10 minutes then 10 minute walk to hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Would highly recommend.
You must be joking. Absolutely horrendous.
We have stayed at other Sandos hotels in Benidorm and had perfectly good experiences, so we genuinely expected a similar standard here. What we got instead was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had.
From the moment we arrived, it was obvious that this hotel is nowhere near the standard it claims to be. The room was disgusting. Not “a little tired” or “could do with some refurbishment” genuinely filthy and in a state of disrepair.
Ripped curtains, mould, cracks in the walls, an exposed power board, dirt on top of the bed and a bath covered in rust and grime. Underneath the bed looked as though it hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner in years.
The air conditioning was practically useless, which made the room even more unbearable.
We complained to reception and were told that changing rooms was not possible. The reception staff were rude and completely unhelpful. Apparently, paying for a 4-star hotel doesn't guarantee you a clean, safe or remotely pleasant room.
And the problems certainly didn't stop there.
The pool area was disgusting. There was rubbish lying around, a horrible smell hanging around the pool and the whole area looked dirty and poorly maintained. Getting a sunbed in the morning was basically a survival exercise an absolute free-for-all.
Then there's the food. The main buffet was chaos. People pushing into you from every direction as if there was a worldwide shortage of food and this was their final opportunity to eat. Trying to get food was stressful rather than enjoyable. And when you eventually got it, the food was cheap, bland and tasteless.
We also went to what was supposed to be another à la carte restaurant. What a joke. It was basically another buffet, just without quite as much chaos as the main restaurant.
The snack bar was disgusting too. The hotel has two elevators trying to cope with everyone staying there, and one was broken during our stay. So yet another basic facility that wasn't functioning properly.
There were cracks in the walls, exposed electrical equipment, filthy areas, broken facilities and an overall lack of maintenance that was impossible to ignore.
At this point, you have to ask: what exactly qualifies this place as 4-star? Because from what we experienced, it was a very poor 2-star standard at best.
The saddest part is that the staff clearly looked completely overworked and were trying to cope with facilities that simply weren't good enough.
The downstairs bar staff were the one genuine positive — they were friendly, accommodating and happy to make different drinks for you. They deserve credit because they were probably the only people who consistently made an effort.
But one decent bar team cannot rescue an otherwise terrible hotel experience. We ended up avoiding spending time at the hotel altogether, which says everything. When you're on holiday and your main objective becomes getting away from the hotel you've paid to stay in, something has gone seriously wrong.
We've stayed at other Sandos properties and this experience was so far below what we expected that it has completely changed our view of the brand. If you're considering booking this hotel, don't.
Save your money. There are plenty of other places where you can spend your holiday without sleeping in a filthy room, fighting for a sunbed, battling through a chaotic buffet and wondering what happened to the supposed 4-star standard.
Absolutely shocking. A huge disappointment and, in our experience, nowhere remotely close to 4-star quality. Sandos should be embarrassed to have a hotel operating at this standard under its name.
