I have been holidaying for many years to different parts of the world but never experienced anything like this hotel . My wife and I were staying for 10days When we arrived we had a very early flight so our room was not ready We went to the roof top bar/restaurant not only was the order wrong but my burger was raw meat in the centre the waiting staff we're not interested. The room was clean except for the skirting boards dust .The gap at the bottom of the door let in plenty of light at night. Breakfast was OK but on 5 occasions out of 10 nights either my wife or myself had meat or fish not properly cooked The servers were not very interested in sorting it out they lifted your plate when you went to get something else . Will never be back in this hotel. We read a lot of reviews and this place sounded good close to beach great for walks and shopping
Just back from 10 nights staying in superior double room on 5th floor. Praise goes to all the staff nothing was too much trouble , especially the lovely cleaner we had doing our room, it was spotless every day . Food is good when we ate in restaurant although ate out alot as so much choice on your doorstep. Fantastic location and pool bar upstairs is good and always got a sunbed. Super comfy beds. My only gripe would be there should be a designated smoking area as downstairs was awful when you walked out of door and lots of people smoking upstairs too. Other than that would come back for a second visit .
Walking distance to plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Food was really nice in the hotel restaurant (buffet) with plenty of choice of quality freshly cooked food. Wine was a relatively good price and the bottles at dinner were very drinkable. Some entertainment in the evening if you don’t want to leave the hotel with a happy hour between 4:30-5:30 pm at the rooftop pool bar. Would definitely go back.
Great location a few minutes from beach, restaurants and Carrefour
My cleaner of room 516 (Juliano I think) deserves special praise as room always tidied and even clothes folded
Pool was good altho upper deck sunbeds packed quickly
Jacuzzi luke warm and not working properly
Food good for buffet and exactly what you would expect
Negative was smoking in the walk to the back of the hotel and where the entertainment was (smoke / death alley)
Entertainment was also bad
We paid extra for a superior double room. I emailed the hotel beforehand to request a room no higher than the third floor. Following our request, they put us in a room on the 2nd floor, which was a junior suite (£100 cheaper than a superior double) without explaining that all the superior doubles were on the 5th floor. Had they told us that, we would have accepted a room on the 5th floor. When I realised they had put us in the wrong type of room, I went to reception to explain this and was offered a move to the 5th; however, we had already unpacked by then and it would have been too much trouble to re-pack & move. The room we had was overlooking the pool and bar, where the obscenely loud entertainment played every night. We enjoy sitting on our balcony in the evening, talking but you couldn’t hear yourselves talk, the music was so incredibly loud, unless you shouted. On our last night, when we wanted an early night, due to an early flight the following morning, we couldn’t get to sleep for the awful noise. Although the rooms and public areas were kept clean, the rooms needed lots of maintenance upgrades. The metal seals around the shower were in a dreadful state. We also found the food at breakfast sadly lacking; a strange assortment of hot food, often swimming in grease. And the yoghurt was odd. The only thing we eat at breakfast was a bowl of muesli. The lower poolside bar was often unmanned during the day. There should be a designated smoking area for people using the bar, away from other people. People sat near the door smoking, so that - when you were going out or coming in - you had to walk through a thick wall of smoke (and we're smokers btw!). A positive is that it is well located, very near the beach.
