Don't miss out on the many recreational opportunities, including an outdoor pool, an indoor pool and a steam room.
Just returned from a 10 day stay at this amazing hotel It has the wow factor as you walk in You are greeted with a glass of fizz or juice as you wait to be checked in, which was hassle free. The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily and the aircon is excellent. The pool area is busy, some people do reserve sunbeds but we preferred the balcony overlooking the pool. There are lots of sunbeds and parasols anytime of the day on the balcony so you don't have to get up early and you can watch the water sports opposite the hotel Easy access to the lovely beach if you fancy a change. The staff are all so friendly and nothing is too much trouble and all have a smile on their face. Food is excellent and although buffet style there is always lots of choice You can go to the a la carte restaurant but the food was that good in the main restaurant we didn't bother. Entertainment was good on an evening and drinks reasonably priced. Elvis and Mama Cath and the soul sisters were fun. A nice touch was a letter welcoming us to the hotel with a complimentary canvas bag on the bed It was my husbands birthday while we were there and the maid must have seen his cards and on return to the room we found a bottle of sparkling wine had been left as a gift. We have recently stayed at the Riu in Nerja which was also excellent but the standard of food and the stunning hotel made the Nautilus just that bit more special Excellent hotel and will definitely return
We’ve just returned from another fantastic stay and had a brilliant time.
We’ve stayed at this hotel before, so we were really looking forward to seeing the recent refurbishment — and we certainly weren’t disappointed. The hotel looks amazing. Our room was stylish, modern and spotlessly clean, with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The new bathroom was lovely, with a fantastic power shower.
The food was excellent. There was so much choice, with a really varied selection of dishes which were plentiful and beautifully presented. Everything looked fresh and well cared for, and there was always plenty to choose from.
The outside pool was just about big enough for the hotel and was lovely to relax around. The indoor pool was absolutely freezing — but actually, in the heat, we loved it! It was incredibly refreshing.
The only downside for us was the sunbed situation. The beds are quite close together and unfortunately some guests were very inconsiderate with parasols, putting them up so that they covered other people’s sunbeds and then disappearing for hours. Obviously this is more about guest behaviour than the hotel, but it was frustrating.
What really makes this hotel stand out, though, is the staff. They genuinely put the hotel on another level. Every member of staff we encountered was welcoming, polite, helpful and friendly, as well as being smart and professional. Nothing seemed too much trouble and they really contributed to making our holiday so enjoyable.
The location is also fantastic. It’s just a short distance from the beach and marina, with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops along the seafront. There’s lots to do if you want to get out and explore, while the hotel itself is a lovely place to spend the day.
Overall, we had a brilliant holiday and were so pleased to return to a hotel that has been refurbished to such a high standard. The rooms, food, location and especially the staff were all fantastic.
We would definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. ❤️
I am writing this to warn anyone traveling with elderly or disabled family members. My parents chose this hotel to celebrate a massive milestone—their 60th Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Instead of a memorable celebration, it has been a deeply upsetting experience due to the hotel's shocking lack of basic accessibility and empathy. My elderly mother is disabled and cannot use a standard sunbed. She requires a regular chair to sit by the pool. Instead of accommodating her, the hotel has restricted her to one specific area. Every single morning, my parents are forced to retrieve a chair hidden behind the towel station. If someone is already sitting in that designated spot, it causes a public scene. My parents are made to feel like a nuisance, attracting unwanted attention from the entire pool area. To make matters worse, she is required to notify staff whenever she leaves the chair - this includes when she has to go to the toilet This rigid, degrading practice completely strips a disabled guest of their dignity. Forcing elderly, vulnerable guests to jump through hoops just to sit safely by the pool is unacceptable. Management should be ashamed of how they treat loyal guests celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime occasion. Do not stay here if you or your loved ones have any mobility or accessibility needs. They do not care. - Shame on you Riu
I visited Riu Palace Nautilus, Torremolinos with my mum in July. I researched to find the right hotel, based on location, adult only, dietary requirements etc The hotel was in a perfect spot… through the gate and across the promenade to the beach. The promenade has lots of shops, bars and restaurants along it. Also there is a lovely harbour a short walk away with numerous bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is clean and modern. The staff were amazing… from reception, waiters, cleaners, restaurant etc everyone worked hard to ensure all guests have a great experience. The pool area had plenty of sun loungers and parasols. The loungers were comfy as they had wipeable mattresses. You could change your pool towels daily. There was also an indoor pool and spa, (we didn’t use it.) Around the pool were waiters bringing drinks or lunch throughout the day. Lovely cocktails and Parmesan fries! The room was clean spacious and modern with huge shower and double sink in the bathroom. Pillows were super comfy! Air con was great. We had a room on the second floor on the side. Partial sea view. Was lovely and quiet. Hairdryer was a bit slow… but they usually are in hotels. Now to the food…. Wow! I have coeliac disease and need a strict gluten free diet. They have a small gluten free area at breakfast with separate toaster and bread, muffins, rolls. Everything was labelled … for the first few days, the chef showed me around. Breakfast - every kind of egg, bacon, beans, mushrooms, etc etc Huge selection of pastries etc (not gluten free) Dinner - lots of fresh fish, meats, paella, potatoes, sweet potatoes, pizza, pasta etc etc (not all gluten free) Again every thing was labelled for dietary requirements. I could order gluten free chips made fresh. I ate a lot of salad, fish, rice, chips, meats etc always something for me. Food was good quality. The outside terrace was a lovely place to eat every day for breakfast and dinner, with a lovely outlook. Entertainment wasn’t the best I’ve seen but it was ok! Most people we spoke to visit the hotel each year… that says a lot! We will definitely return!
Wow! the refurbishment was amazing the shower was the most powerful shower I have ever had. The food was good before but even better now and i am so fussy but there was a lot of choice so i didnt have to have chips every night. This was our 4th visit nothing negative to say all the staff work incredible hard but a special shout out to Romy on reception who is so helpful and lovely, Olesya who always has a smile on her face works so hard and lastly Jaiver who greets you in the restaurant with a happy smiley face. Thank you for another great holiday.
