Wonderful hotel. We will be back
This hotel is in a fantastic location. We booked rooms facing pool. We didn’t get sun on balcony as I think sun too high for that but it’s so hot we were glad. We went for breakfast once but so busy and not much left as we were nearer 10,30 when it finished. We ate several times at pool bar. Food was really good. Sun beds were available until after 10am thanks to the staff removing towels . A special mention to Elliot at the pool He is an asset to the hotel. So friendly and welcoming. We were treated like family. Couldn’t do enough for us and other guests. Drinks served to our sun-beds with a great sense of humour. Made our holiday. Thank you Elliot. No kids disco or kids club which is why we not booking next year as a family but will definitely come back as a couples holiday. Lots of Spanish people compared to british but we are in Spain. I think it says how good the hotel is when locals like to holiday here.

Good Hotel
This is a lovely well maintained hotel. Had a fabulous view over pool and seafront, with direct access to beach through gate. Good sized pool, with various activities going on. Location is spot on with the Marina just a short walk away. Only had bed and breakfast which was very tasty. Spacious room, with fab Aircon. On arrival we had a complimentary bottle of wine, water and pastries which was very welcome Had a small maintenance issue, which was very quickly resolved My only minor gripe was no kettle, but you can hire one,which we did, however you have to wash up in the bathroom sink, with no washing up liquid or dishcloth etc provided. All staff work very hard, everywhere very clean. 3 small lifts, but wasn't a problem, often using it alone, or only waiting a short time for them to become free.
Fantastic Hotel in great location La Carihuela
We stayed at La Barracuda for one week high season August and were not disappointed. We stayed on B&B basis in pool/sea view room. Its rated 3 star but we feel its almost 4 star instead. All staff fantastic, great selection for breakfast even though was busy breakfast at high season, cleaning staff very efficient and rooms turned down daily. Located with perfect access to beach out via gate from pool to promenade/beach. We took balinese beds at €20 a day option which is a no brainer given beach beds are €16 a day but at hotel you get drink and snack included and guys give you full attention and service all day up to 5.30 pm. Great humoured guys and make your stay a really great one. So big shout out to Ellio and Abraham 👍🏻 . All staff were exceptional and we booked full pack to include return flights from Dublin via Hotel La Barracuda website and it was all super efficient. Not to mention the great rooftop bar with full panoramic views and great cocktails. Thank you again to Hotel La Barracuda and all your staff and professionalism. We will return in the future maybe not at August high season as we are couple only and given you were providing great family holiday service to so many families, we personally will return at a more adult only based time. See you all in the future 👍🏻👌 5***** from us.
Stay at hotel aug 2026
Location great, hotel dated but clean. Lunch food is better than evening meal. Rooftop bar is fabulous.
However, shocked to find out no shower room available. Not able to keep a room on as well. We check out at 12 and only get picked up at 7 pm the least they could do is offer a shower room. The reception staff looked shocked but this is basic requirements for a hotel. Was thinking of returning with parents but not now.

Currently staying at Hotel Barracuda, hotel location is fabulous sits towards end of beach strip leaning towards Benalmadena. Great for strolling during the day and evening. Hotel is 3 star, we stayed as bed & breakfast. Food ok as a coeliac they provided, roll, crackers and a Shar cake, which is ample for me. General Breakfast choice Inc hot breakfast, cheese and meats. Limited selection of fruit and yoghurt. Selection of bread and pastries. Staff friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. Sunbed situation, fills up quickly but beds are used and they have signs up around leaving sunbeds with towels on them. Room basic with fridge, beds comfy, we were in a twin room with sofa bed facing pool on 6th floor, views were amazing! Room cleaning daily if needed. Would definitely stay again for location and cost.
