Of course, Torremolinos has long welcomed British holidaymakers with open arms, and you'll definitely feel that sense of inclusivity at the Gran Cervantes.

Enjoying a peaceful location in the popular area of Torremolinos, overlooking the sea and minutes from the beach, the Leonardo Hotel Torremolinos Costa del Sol is the perfect place for your holiday. Recently refurbished to a comfortable and modern standard, the hotel offers a good range of on-site facilities.
Should you tire from soaking up the sun and the view, there is plenty to do close by with a huge choice of bars, shops and restaurants in the surrounding area.
We had a very comfortable stay, sun loungers available from 9am , pool 10am, food is good, a good variety with free beer and soft drinks, rooms ok with safe and air conditioning, furniture a bit dated, but big deal, train to Fuengirola or the airport or Malaga a few minutes away, lift to and from the beach very close. I would book again
Stay in this hotel the last 4 nights. The hotel is a very nice hotel, and very clean. Pool is heated and very nice. Roof top pool is also heated and fab views of the area. Bedrooms spacious and nice shower. Food is good, but a change around of dishes would be recommend. Staff at reception need a personality injection, bar the man on check in on Thursday night. Restaurant staff very nice and room hygines staff. Hotel is 5 mins from main street and train station, hotel has a rear entrance at the rear of hotel to main street which was brilliant. Would stay again.
Dislikes. Jusices from machines are rotten. Change in Variety on evening menu. Water heater for tea, as coffee machines take too long to make creating ques for tea. Explanation on the wrist bands system around the hotel.
Complaint: I made a complaint of the restaurant manager at the reception and the reception lady didnt care, she s the one with curly hair, she muttered under her breath in spanish which we understood to be an insult to us. I made the complaint, because we went to restaurant one of the nights as we were told by 4 staff members that the sliver band was all inclusive, but we had lunch also that day. The manager, blond long hair approched us to tell us we could eat the dinner but we would have to pay 20e each to do so. I told her what we were told and she said no, sliver was half board. So we put the sweet treats back as we didnt want the same meal again another night, but it was the manner in which she said it in front of all the hotel guest sitting eating. All this hassel just because no one knows what the wrist bands stand for. Very disappointed over this.
The hotel is in the ideal location to be right in the centre of Torremolinos. This is the ideal place for a solo trip to relax for a few days. I came here for my 4 days off as Cabin Crew and had a great time sitting by the pool and eating and drinking loads.
The only things to note is: • Sun Terrace opens at 9am so you can grab from a selection of half the sunbeds. The other half of the sunbeds and pool remain behind a barrier until 11am, so something you’re sweating before you can jump in and cool off. • Reception staff only take cash for towel deposits.
Other than that the food was good, drinks were cheap (I was full board) and only cost $500 for the stay. Can’t complain for a bit of Autumn sun.
We stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Torremolinos for four days in October, and this is my honest review.
The room was absolutely fine. It was clean, the maids came in every day, and although the rooms could do with a little updating, we had no real complaints. The Smart TV with Netflix and freeview UK channels was a great bonus. The bathroom was good too, with a hot and powerful shower.
The staff were excellent. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay.
Breakfast was also good. Freshly cooked eggs every morning, toast, cereals, fresh fruit, cheese, ham and plenty of bread. No complaints there.
Unfortunately, the evening meals were the big let-down, particularly if you’re staying half board. The choice was quite limited and, on several occasions, the food was only lukewarm. There wasn’t even a microwave available to heat it up. For us, this really brought the overall experience down. My advice would be to skip half board and explore the local restaurants instead — there are plenty of options nearby.
I genuinely wanted to give this hotel 4 stars, because there are certainly some positives. But being completely honest, 3 stars feels like the fairest rating. The room, cleanliness, breakfast and staff were all good, but the evening meals need significant improvement.
