Pleasant stay
We had a very pleasant 7 night stay here. The room was nice and had a fridge and a small balcony. The hotel has a very authentic family run feel and has a very relaxed atmosphere. The pool was small but we always found sun loungers. Breakfast was a bit mixed, as some days it was decent and others days it was a struggle to get something beyond a fry up. The staff here are great, big shout out to Beatrix who is an absolute star and nothing was too much trouble. The lady who works breakfast and serves drinks around the pool was wonderful and helped me by speaking Spanish very slowly. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Excellent quiet relaxing hotel
A great friendly hotel, sitting close to the beach and main strip but far enough away to be quiet at night. Aldi shop a few meters away for supplies and essentials. It is a quiet and very relaxed hotel more for those seeking peace and quiet. There is a nice well stocked bar with in and outdoor seating, which closes at mid night. It’s not a noisy bar with quiet music and a TV. The pool is not large and has several sun beds around it. It can get busy and most mornings there was a queue waiting for it to open, however the beach is only a 5 - 10 minutes walk away. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, plenty of plugs and decent WiFi. The balconies are not big but comfortable enough for a couple. Good shower with plenty of hot water and a good hair dryer. The staff help make this hotel a winner. Sergio and Beatrix cannot be any more helpful or friendly. My one and only issue is the lack of of gluten free beers.

A great stay
A very nice stay at hotel montemar. We stayed in the apartments which are located just across the road from the hotel. There were only two of us so we were made up with the amount of space. Really clean, modern, excellent cooking facilities, lovely shower and very comfortable double beds. The hotel is only a 2 minute walk to ALDI which was so ideal! If I was to give one critique it would be the lack of buzz around the pool. A bit of background music would have been lovely. It was a bit too quiet for us but completely understand many people would find this very appealing so that is just based on personal preference.
Fabulous Hotel
This hotel is nice and small and very traditionally Spanish which is exactly what I like. Very friendly hotel, nothing is too difficult for the staff. Check in was quick and easy as was check out. Rooms were cleaned every day and the whole hotel was cleaned constantly including outdoor areas. Breakfast was really good and varied and you can also take it outside if you like. The pool area and terraces are lovely areas to relax
Fabulous Arcos de Montemar Hotel!
Recently returned from a wonderful stay at Arcos de Montemar. We were made to feel so welcome & comfortable in this lovely little gem of a hotel. The location is great-a short walk to the beach front & bars & shops. Bonus of an Aldi close by. The rooms & the whole hotel are immaculately clean both indoors & the pool & outside areas are well maintained. The staff are a credit to the hotel-everyone so friendly & helpful. From the reception staff-the lovely Beatrix and Sergio, to the bar staff & cleaners & kitchen staff. Thank you to you all for making our stay so special. Looking forward to another visit soon
