- Hotel Nerja Club Spa by Dorobe

This hotel is located on the edge of the holiday resort of Nerja, close to Capistrano and 1 km from the famous Burriana beach and the centre of Nerja. There is a town bus stop directly in front of the hotel. The beach hotel was built in 1984 and has a 200 m² garden. The hotel's facilities include a refined café, a bar and a conference room as well. Guests may park their cars in the car park. The en-suite rooms are well equipped with telephone, satellite TV and a safe. All rooms come with an air-conditioning system and Internet access, the majority feature a terrace. There is a pool with a spacious sun terrace. Also a golf course is 20 km away. A night-time entertainment programme is organized for the guests. On offer are breakfast and dinner in the form of a buffet. At lunchtime, the bar offers a selection of snacks from the menu.
We had a lovely time in Nerja and this hotel offered good value for money and a relaxed holiday we enjoy. No running and cueing for sunbeds or breakfast and we were there in peak times. Chilled atmosphere around the pool. My teenagers enjoyed the gym and we all loved the supermarket across the road! Location was fine for us and we all enjoyed the walk to/from town or beach especially after one of the gorgeous meals. We only had breakfast at hotel which was fine - had everything you could want but lacked the finesse of a higher budget hotel. It does feel a bit military getting into breakfast and there is one very grumpy man that did have a go at my daughter for not having her ‘paper form’ at breakfast. You would think after a few days they would get to know their residents or you could just give your room number.. Hotel room was cleaned daily to a great standard. I would recommend this hotel as great value for money and Nerja is beautiful x
Stopped off with family for a meal and were disappointed. Surroundings are fine but food and service not so much. Pizza tasted like cheap supermarket frozen variety and nachos were awful. Ribs were good but there are so many much better restaurants within a 10 minute walk. No table service for drinks. Bar staff are friendly but slowest service. Many better places nearby.
Good, but this place is out of town. Good 25 minutes to walk to town Good things: Staff really lovely. Cleaners amazing. Had clean sheets every other day and clean towels every day. Lots of coat hangers. Fridge and kettle but no spoons.Room cleaned properly every day. Lots of sunbeds and seats. Never had to wait for one. Always felt safe and never had rowdy people. Lots of Spanish at hotel. Very thoughtful with melon platter and bubbly on last evening. Lovely touch.
Downsides.
Food was ok but cheap and limited. However, salads plenty and fresh fruit.Cooked breakfast not good. Remember, this is a budget hotel. Limited storage in bathroom and balcony julliette. Struggled to get two people at same time sitting. Hairdryer rip hair at back. Queue at bar sometimes long.
Overall, you get what you pay for. However, staff amazing. For the price, good . It is however, out of town. Long walk to front but taxis about €7.00. Not a lot around except supermarket.
We had a very enjoyable stay at Nerja Club and felt it offered excellent value for money. It's a three-star hotel, and for the price, it exceeded our expectations.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The pool area was a lovely place to unwind after a day exploring Nerja, and the breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold options to start the day.
What really stood out was the staff. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They were always happy to answer questions or assist with anything we needed, which made a real difference.
The hotel is located in a quieter part of Nerja. It's around a 20-minute walk to the Balcón de Europa, which we enjoyed, but if you don't fancy walking, shared taxis are readily available and cost approximately €7–10 for up to four people, making it a quick and affordable journey.
If you're looking for a lively party destination for a stag or hen weekend, this probably isn't the hotel—or the town—for you. Nerja has a much more relaxed atmosphere and is better suited to couples, families, and anyone looking for a peaceful break or a more laid-back celebration.
Overall, we had a great stay and would happily recommend Nerja Club to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and good-value base for exploring Nerja. We would certainly consider staying here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Nerja Club. The staff were all polite and helpful. Our room was quite spacious with a large balcony offering a sea view. We were on a half board basis and the food was fine with plenty of variety. The pool area was good and the pool itself warm and inviting. The Sports Bar was ideal for watching World Cup games and there was canny evening entertainment. The only downside is the steep walk to Burriana beach which might be too much for some but otherwise it was a memorable and relaxing stay.
