This charming complex is located on a main street on the edge of Fuengirola, a cosmopolitan city on Costa del Sol. Malaga Airport is a 23-minute drive from the property and travellers will find some of the most important tourist attractions close by which are perfect for the ones who like to explore. This accommodation is the best choice for those travellers wishing to enjoy a relaxing holiday based on the freedom of self-catering. The restaurant serves local Mediterranean specialities and the stunning pool bar is ideal to enjoy a moment of relaxation while having a refreshing cocktail. The spacious rooms are decorated with warm tones that create a cosy atmosphere, they are also equipped with all the essential amenities to have a pleasant stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have stayed here 4 times, loved everytime, lots of entertainment, rooms clean, food lovely, big shopping centre 5 mins walk away, felt so safe. Staff so friendly. Excellent lifeguards. Such a relaxing holiday each time
Recently stayed at this hotel, it’s perfect for what you need, clean and friendly. Pool is brilliant for kids and lifeguards are really watching the pool for your safety. The apartment is perfect and has everything you need. With a shopping mall literally next door you can get everything you need. Prices at the restaurant and bar are a little expensive but a good atmosphere in the evening to enjoy sitting outside. If you want to get to the main town you can easily get a bus for €1.20.
location is ideal, pool is lovely - bit annoying that people are starting to queue now 1 hour before the pool opens - this isnt the norm here as there are plenty of beds and to be honest, it is pretty pathetic to see grown adults running to put a towel down. Rooms are lovely and clean - although the showers are a disgrace - either 3rd degree burns or freezing - Pool bar is lovely - some of the foot items such as the chicken bites are not great - bar staff and all staff in general are wonderfully friendly. It is good value for money and the atmosphere is lovely there. It isn't overly noisey - some of the evening entertainment is very questionable - in particular the tropical show - not really suitable for kids. Overall it is lovely and we will be back for our 4th year in a row.
This hotel has both good and bad qualities. The good, huge swimming pool and huge kids pool. Always a sunlonger available around the kids part but guests do queue for a bed before the gates open. The entertainment was so-so, the was something during the day for kids and evening entertainment but I wouldn't rate it at all. There is a games room with about 2 things working, no air-conditioning in that area. Thr hotel is right beside a huge shopping centre and you can wheel your shopping cart over to the hotel.
The bad, location was not what I read on previous reviews. You are a good 20-30 minute walk away to the town. Fine if you like walking but with 2 kids age 3 and 5 in 30+ heat it was not ideal. We got a taxi up and back each night which was only 5euro each way. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel but we never used it. The service at the bar/bar food area is one of the worst I have ever experienced in my years of travel. It wasn't a once off on one day, it was every single day we were there at any point of the day the service was awful. No waiting staff to serve the tables and when you queue to order at the counter your told no you have to sit to order. On top of that, the price of the drink was insane. 6.90 for a local beer. They know you will pay it as there is no other bars around the hotel to go to unless you go down the town. In the evening you can expect to wait up to 20minutes to be served a drink and that is not down to thr volume of customers, it's down to the dreadful service from the staff.
The rooms are old but fine. We did have ants in our room. Reception staff were lovely, bar staff not so much.
Overall, I would not return.
We had a lovely holiday overall and found the hotel to be clean and well maintained. Our room was cleaned every few days, which was more than adequate for us, and the pools were great.
We stayed in the block overlooking the paddle courts, which turned out to be a really enjoyable location. We couldn’t really hear much of the noise from the apartments, and actually enjoyed sitting out and watching the games. The food from the pool bar was also good and convenient for lunch and snacks.
Unfortunately, the main dampener on the holiday was the usual issue of sunbed reserving. On one particular day, we sat on a vacant sunbed which had no towel or belongings on it. Around two hours later, we were approached and told that someone had reserved the sunbed because they had reserved the three sun chairs next to it. We were asked to move, despite the fact that the chair we were using had been completely vacant when we sat down and there was nothing on it to indicate that it had been reserved.
What made the situation particularly disappointing was how the manager handled the dispute. I was sitting on the chair with my young daughter so that I could keep an eye on my son swimming in the pool, but we were still asked to move. We felt that the decision went against the hotel's own rules regarding reserving sunbeds and that the situation could have been handled much more fairly.
I subsequently contacted both the manager and head office to raise our concerns. Unfortunately, I found the response quite defensive rather than acknowledging why we felt let down by how the situation had been dealt with.
Aside from this incident, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and there is a lot to like about the hotel. The facilities, pools, cleanliness, location of our accommodation and pool bar were all positives. However, the way the sunbed dispute was handled left a disappointing impression on what was otherwise a very enjoyable holiday.
