Overlooking the picturesque harbour and 200 meters from the beach, Las Palmeras Affiliated by Fergus enjoys a privileged position in Fuengirola, right in the heart of the Costa del Sol. In this delightful location guests can truly relax and enjoy all that the hotel has to offer. Aside from lazing pool side under the Spanish sunshine, there's a great selection of facilities & day time activities to choose from. Whilst the hotel's evening entertainment is just as impressive, sampling the local colour and life couldn't be easier with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.
Hotel is very shabby and in need of a refurb, AC doesn’t work very well, but by far the most offensive thing about this hotel is that they believe it’s acceptable to host events in their function room that go on past 3am with music so loud you can hear it in your room on the 4th. It’s louder in this hotel than on the street outside where the clubs are.
This demonstrates a clear lack of respect for the hotels guests. And means it absolutely must be avoided.
Location - great, close to the sea, restaurants, shops, bus and train station, we visited Mijas and Marbella by bus, and Malaga by train
Atmosphere- very good, in the evening there was an animation time, karaoke, Flamenco show, concert etc
Rooms - spacious and nice
Cleanliness - perfect
Noise level - no noise, our room was on 8th floor
Service- very nice and helpful, food was very tasty
Value- good quality vs price
I do not agree with a lot of negative comments, this is a very good place for holidays.
This is a hotel that certainly needs some TLC! The food is good ,the reception is fantastic, the rooms are looking a bit tired and in general, the hotel could use a refurbishment! Connor was able to entertain us quite well at the pool ! Bravo ! If you're not too demanding, then book this hotel close to the beach!
This is easily the worst 4 star hotel I have ever stayed in. It is at best a 2 star hotel. While the foyer looks ok once you go upstairs to the rooms the corridors are covered with old worn filthy carpets. we booked for 3 nights and during that period the room card failed to work on 7 occasions, resulting in having to return to reception to get card reactivated. Twice while returning to our room the new access card failed and they had to send for a fitter. The WiFi connection was non existent. The check in lady was most unhelpful and condesending. The reception staff know that the Hotel is falling apart and complaints are shrugged of Would'nt dream of ever staying here again
Not the first time we’ve stayed here and to be honest it’s not as good as it was. But saying that the position is perfect for the restaurants and many bars. Right across the road from the beach. The rooms are basic, as is the bathroom but rooms are cleaned every day and beds changed frequently. The air conditioning could be better admittedly but it’s not too bad. My only real disappointment was breakfast. After three mornings we started to go out for breakfast. In the hotel the food was cold. The coffee was unpleasant and the juices were very watery. If you prefer continental it looked really good with a huge selection. Overall it was a nice stay and as long as we had a clean bed and hot shower we were happy. Staff were pleasant and the pool area had a nice place to get refreshments. There’s no mad rush for a sun lounger every morning either!
