This superb beach hotel enjoys a frontline setting in the bustling resort town of Fuengirola. The hotel is perfectly situated just beside the beautiful sandy beach and is within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues the town has to offer. Malaga airport is conveniently set just 20 km away from the hotel. Business and leisure guests will be able to take advantage of the venues to host meetings and other private events. For a sunny day, the outdoor pool area has sunbeds, parasols and an incredible pool to dip in. All visitors will be impressed by the culinary delights the restaurant has to offer. The rooms are beautifully appointed and well equipped with all the needed amenities to have the best experience.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, including a sauna, a fitness centre and a seasonal outdoor pool. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and wedding services.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We were aware that this hotel was out on a limb, having visited Fuengirola in the past, and consequently thought that they would compensate for this with a great holiday vibe and interesting entertainment. Unfortunately this wasn't the case! During our visit we enjoyed hearing the pianist, but apart from that the entertainment was dedicated to sport (sadly not our idea of exciting viewing!)
The hotel has been very attractively designed and has a fantastic huge, deep pool surrounded by some beautifully manicured areas. It's complete with a tree that attracts a flock of 100 or so sparrow type birds; wonderful to have some nature alongside the sea view. Our single beds were amazingly spacious & comfortable and the cleaners kept everywhere immaculate.
But the main issue is that the management are so mean with what is provided. You start your holiday with being told that a kettle will cost you 10 euros to borrow.....we felt that for a 4 star holiday & the cost entailed this should be provided. We were half board & the food was often lukewarm at best. The quality of the ingredients was often substandard with flavourless oranges for example; something that we've come to expect to be a superior standard in Spain! Some fruit (kiwis) were terribly unripe & hence inedible; all indicative of produce being bought on the cheap!!
Previous experiences of half board for us have generally included alcoholic drinks during a meal time, but alas not here. We have also come to expect to see Management being available & accessible incase any guests have any issues.....no one was ever evident. Hence when a group of men started getting out of hand in the pool with excessive drinking no one was around to keep things under control. Not what one would expect to have to contend with at a 'Spa' hotel, we thought.
Sadly we wouldn't return and would suggest similarly to anyone who expects a holiday experiences of a certain standard.
When we arrived and entered the “palace” we were awestruck. It was more than we could have hoped for. Reception staff was welcoming and informative. The hotel is spread over 3 buildings and though we had to navigate carefully to get to our room we were rewarded by the view of the sea and beautiful beach from our seaside terrace. The room was very comfortable and provided most essential amenities. We had sumptuous dinner at their Italian restaurant and a marvelous breakfast on our final day at their restaurant patio downstairs by the pool and beach. Do not miss staying here!
Our fourth stay at IPV was "okay".
We had an issue with the air conditioner in our first assigned room and were switched to another room for the duration of our stay with MUCH better and newer split-system A/C-so good job to the staff on that one.
As with previous stays, we found the staff to be genuinely friendly and outgoing. Breakfast buffet was pretty much the same offerings every morning, but the food and selections were very good.
This property is starting to really show its age and some upkeep is due. We did stay the very last week of a very busy high season, so perhaps some upgrading will occur during the now slow season??
Smoking is permitted at this hotel and until this policy changes, we most likely shall not return. We were subjected to cigarette smoke while dining outdoors on several occasions and despite the hotel furnishing ashtrays, cigarette butts were abundant on the ground throughout the property during our stay-including the pool area!
We have been coming to this hotel for many years about 3 times a year and loved it. But recently lots of things have been changed and not for the better. We have always had a garden room which was the same price as the others. You have now decided to call this a “superior garden room and a hefty extra price. Please could you tell me what you have done to call it superior? It’s exactly the same as before but the room hasn’t been decorated the wallpaper was torn in various places the curtains were absolutely filthy you are now charging for a kettle and the shower still floods the bathroom every time it’s used. There are no slippers, dressing gowns so what improvements have you done to call and charge it superior? The standard has slipped, the restaurant at breakfast was a joke, nobody clearing the plates, we had to put them onto another table and a waiter told me off! Sorry but we won’t be coming back until you can justify the extra price. There are lots of other hotels close by
Fantastic location, helpful staff, excellent swimming pool,lovely bar area and in tge busy summer months there is a good truck Rooms are a little dated but very comfortable with stunning sea views Pacel court is also available so an excellent hotel choice throughout the year
