Enjoyed fuengarola. Hotel was clean but very dated food average and cold even when being first in the queue for evening meals it was Luke warm

This was our 7th time returning to this hotel. We stayed for 2 weeks earlier this month travelling as a large group and seeing a lot of familiar faces returning confirms that this hotel is doing something right. We stayed all inclusive and never struggled to find anything to eat, I’m not vegetarian but noticed this year there were so many more veg options that were delicious and I enjoyed trying them all. Some reviews state that the meals were cold, we never found this unless we were extremely lucky! The hotel is kept spotlessly clean with the staff working tirelessly and are so polite and can’t do enough for you. The rooms are cleaned daily. We always have a family room as we travel with our teenage son which gives us plenty of space and gives our son the privacy of his own room within our room. As other reviews have stated the rooms maybe a little dated but we are rarely in our room as we don’t go on holiday to sit in a room and to us we would much rather have a spotlessly clean room than state of the art. The animation team are genuinely the nicest people we have ever met, George, Lola & Dani are just the best and to them this is so much more than a job and that shows. They remember everyone that have been in previous years but also make sure that newcomers are welcomed & involved and they are the reason so many people return year after year. Another shout out has to go to the bar staff. Ada, Javier, Noel & Rodney always great you with a smile and again are so friendly & hard working yet still full of energy even at the end of a long shift. The hotel is the perfect location for us as you go through the hotel gardens and through the gate and the beach is just across the road should you prefer the beach along with shops and pubs/restaurants but a quiet location at the same time We cannot praise the hotel enough and we have already booked for next year as has majority of our group we travelled with this year and we can’t wait to return where we know we will have another great holiday. Stayed for a week with my family of 9. The animation team George, Lola and Dani were absolutely brilliant. Got everyone involved in the day time activities which made it really fun. Our interconnecting room was plenty big enough with a sea view. Every where was spotless clean and the cleaner Alacha was always happy and chatty. Breakfast and lunch were really nice, Pablo welcomed us most days into the restaurant. Always plenty to choose from. Didn’t really think much of the evening meals so we eat out most of the week. It was our wedding anniversary while we were away and the hotel put a bottle of Prosecco in our room which we enjoyed on the balcony looking at the sea view. We had an issue when we first arrived with our door but it was quickly sorted out. Plenty of sun beds to choose from and different places to sit if you didn’t want to be by the pool. Hotel is in a great location by the beach. The rooms are very dated but didn’t go there to sit in the room, it did exactly what we needed. Apparently they are getting a refurb in October. Overall a 3 star hotel but the staff make it a 10 star. Meet loads of different guests from all over the world. We will definitely be back.
