The hotel was completely renovated 2013. Located 20m from the beach, 1.5 km from Fuengirola town center and 24 km from Malaga airport. It comprises a total of 9 floors with a total of 261 rooms. The train station is 20 meters away. Located 7-8km from the golf course.
Don't miss out on recreational opportunities including an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, tour/ticket assistance and a reception hall.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Third and possibly the last time visiting this hotel. Things have changed since our last visit.
Food was poor, no taste. The salad bar was the best choice. Deserts were terrible, unset egg custards, mouse that was like drinking slime also unset. And of course the obligatory evening service"what would you like to drink?" We were accused of not paying on 2 occasions as we paid in cash which we soon paid by card to get a digital receipt from our bank, then on another occasion our bill said 6euro and our bank receipt they'd charged us 9. I was promised a manger would look into this and get back to us with an explanation but it didn't happen. we decided to enjoy our holiday as we seam to be spending more time in reception trying to resolve the issues mentioned.
The room we had was on the 9th floor, great views of the beach and the pool. Tv was modern, we didn't pay for the safe. Fridge, apparently there is still a fee for it however we didn't pay for ours. The room as a whole was in need of a refurb, aircon wasn't cooling and was never resolved, broken shelving on what I can only describe as an Ikea style open wardrobe, this was fixed 3 days after reporting.
Positives are the staff that wait in the restaurant all friendly and aimed to please. Wellbeing room with pool was nice and usually empty in the mornings.
So on this occasion I can't recommend staying here, despite our previous visits. It fell like we were unimportant this time.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Angela in Fuengirola. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. The staff and people were lovely, and there was such a friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel — everyone seemed to get along and it made the whole holiday feel really enjoyable.
The location is fantastic, with everything you need close by, and the pool area was great. The hotel was also very clean, and the upkeep and maintenance throughout the property were amazing.
We also thought the prices at the bars were really reasonable, which was a nice bonus! The mini fridge does cost €10, but honestly, it is what it is and it didn’t bother us at all.
Overall, we had a brilliant time and would happily stay at Hotel Angela again. A lovely hotel, great location, friendly people and a really good atmosphere. Highly recommended! 😊🌴☀️
This was our fourth time staying at Hotel Angela, and once again we had a fantastic stay. It’s great value for money, and we were really pleased to see that the food has improved since our last visit.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are always very polite and friendly, and the location is excellent.
Another plus this year was the new and improved coffee machines — a great improvement!
We also noticed that the queueing for the sunbeds has reduced, which made the pool area much more enjoyable and relaxed.
The only things we would love to see brought back are the ice-making machine and Happy Hour in the evening. Bringing back Happy Hour would encourage more guests to stay in the bar area, watch and enjoy the evening entertainment, and create an even better atmosphere.
Overall, we would definitely recommend Hotel Angela. We’ve enjoyed all four of our stays and will definitely be back again!
Hotel is in a good location for the beach, bars, restaurants and shopping, easy connections to explore further afield. Room- Compact and dated, our bathroom had a walking shower, unfortunately where the bath had been taken out different tiles fitted, plenty of water for showering, hand basin water supply just a trickle. Free safe and chargeable fridge?? Housekeeping- I appreciate the staff have a short window to clean your room, not the cleanest, we enjoyed the game of guessing which towels would be missing each day, it varied so we enjoyed the game! Food- not brilliant, best offering was the omelettes station, well made and tasty if a bit small, coffee machines at breakfast very slow, short measures and frequently not working, also not available for dinner. Wine and water expensive as were all drinks. Went out to local restaurants for dinner most nights. Staff- Didn’t interact with many, end of season maybe explains why lack of enthusiasm on their part?. Returning guests? - No.
