A nice experience, very clean rooms, delicious food- dinners with 3 kinds of meet and fish, all fresh, cooked for you. Located on the beach.
We had a fantastic week at the H10 Estepona. We can’t understand some of the recent more mixed reviews. The staff were all polite and friendly throughout our stay. We were staying half board and the food for breakfast and evening meals was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the cooked to order fresh fish each evening and the variety of salads. Drinks reasonably priced. Bring a bottle for free water refills (water not free with meals). The hotel and situation are beautiful. Our teenagers enjoyed the pools and also the beach. We actually didn’t bother going to the sandier beach further away and only used the beach in front of the hotel. The sand is gritty so just be aware. Only other downside- beds too firm even with a mattress topper. We almost changed rooms because of the noise from building work nearby but in the end didn’t bother as the work finished by 3 pm most days anyway and did not happen on weekends. Staff were helpful in trying to arrange alternative rooms. We hired a car and visited Gibraltar and Ronda. Estepona old town is beautiful too (45 minute walk). Great week and we will return. Thank you to the staff team.
Staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We travelled with a baby (7 months) and at times needed food blending, the staff were very helpful. Short walk to the marina and a taxi journey to Estepona old town. We felt the junior suite was worth the extra money to have the space when travelling with the baby. Overall we had a lovely stay.
Amazing hotel overall. Ignore any bad reviews as they are definitely not describing the h10 Estepona Palace we stayed at. We couldn’t fault the hotel, it was spotlessly clean throughout all communal areas and our room was kept to the same standards. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and very helpful at all times. Breakfast and evening dinner were both brilliant with lots of delicious options to choose from. My wife is sometimes a fussy eater and I didn’t know what to expect from her first time in Spain with the food, but she also loved it. The pool is well maintained and cleaned every morning before opening. Cocktails at the Terrace bar were so nice and refreshing.
My only two issues were: firstly that you couldn’t pay for anything at the poolside bar with Euros (which also sells ice creams and food etc). They will only accept card payment or a charge to the room which is usually paid by card when checking out. Also the rooftop terrace tries to request card payment. We only had Euros to use but luckily the staff at the terrace bar would allow this but you had to walk to reception with them to pay when leaving the bar.
And secondly, the amount of people that leave their towels on the sunbeds in the morning, may only be in the pool or on their sunbeds for a short duration of the day. But they will leave them their whilst they go the beach etc. This is completely unfair and not a complaint about the hotel, but maybe a policy could be put in place to prevent this from happening so often. People constantly disappear for lunch and leaving the hotel site, but towels are left for when they return hours and hours later. Then you have people looking for sunbeds and not being able to use them. It’s very inconsiderate behaviour.
The hotel held our bags for us when we checked out in the morning as our airport transfer was early evening. However, a short while later we noticed that a souvenir in one of our bags had been broken when we got the bags back from reception. Obviously an accident by the staff, but still an inconvenience for us.
Overall, an excellent hotel with everything you need in a great little spot to relax and enjoy the Costa Del Sol. The hotel Sun bed process needs looking into as well as being able to pay with Euros for hotel amenities.
Hotel is situated in a great setting, lovely view of the beach & sea. The reception is impressive & staff friendly. Checkin was quick & easy. The corridors leading to the rooms are dark & the carpets desperately need changing. The room was modern, tastefuly decorated spacious & clean,we had a lovelg sea view room which was great. Bathroom tho is in need of updating,i was quite surprised as the room is modern. We were b&b, breakfast was really good there was lots of variety to choose from. The pool area is great always got a sunbed & the pools were really big lots of room. There is a nice poolside bar were you could chill & have a drink & food, very reasonable prices for drinks especially the cocktails. The hotel is about 30min walk to the centre of Estepona, but there is a bus stop 200 yards from hotel & costs 1 euro 20 each way & takes you to the centre of Estepona. The old town is beautiful with lots of flowers on the houses, lots of restaurants to choose from also . Overall i would definitely stay in the H10 Estepona hotel again
