Lovely hotel. Great location. Good value. Decor & furniture in communal areas delightful. Good book exchange (I always love a good one of those!)
Staff were pleasant with a "hola" when they saw you. Rooms spacious! Loads of electric sockets! Air conditioning worked well. Take a travel kettle & tea/coffee bags if you want a drink in your room. There is a useful fridge though. Lovely toiletries supplied & hairdryer. Food nice. Maybe a bit repetitive but we always found something we liked.
I'm not a swimmer, but saw the pool we were near used frequently. (There are two).
They are still working on an hotel nearby, but we hardly heard it & spent an interesting few minutes watching the skilled crane driver lifting supplies to the top floor!
There are some "so so" remarks about the Victory Corner attached to the hotel, but we loved sitting outside watching football. Inside was very clean & colourful. Mateus who runs it was nice. Pizza was nice too!
Arrived on Wednesday for a 7 night stay with my partner having stayed here 3 years ago with my niece. After reading several “ bad reviews” I was a little nervous that I’d chosen this hotel again, but it’s been absolutely great. Rooms are basic but fully functional, breakfast more than adequate, staff unbelievably good & a fantastic location. I can highly recommend this hotel & everything it showcases, my partner was dubious but has already said he’d like to return.
First time staying in Benalmadena and we loved the hotel. Rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfast and evening meal were very good and the location is brilliant. Only used the pool area once as we prefer the beach but didn’t have to rush to get sunbeds. We had a side sea view which was lovely, did hear some noise at night after the entertainment had finished but that’s to be expected when on a road that a lot of people pass by and that has bars close by so we didn’t mind. Agree with other reviews that some drawers in the room would be good but plenty of wardrobe space. Overall a great first stay!
Had the best time at this wonderful hotel friendly helpful staff bright sunny room with side sea view walk in shower and full length mirror wardrobe plenty storage air conditioning very good comfy beds cleaned and fresh towels each day fridge with complementary water safe plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas no mad rush breakfast choice plentiful with indoor or outdoor tables art work in reception very attractive and lovely decor looking forward to returning for our next holiday
Just returned from a 5 day stay at hotel alay and it was a great chilled break. Benalmadna is around 20 minutes from the airport in a taxi. The hotel is a stones throw away from the beach and the beautiful harbour. We stayed in room 1254 which is the top floor with a stunning view. Good lifts to take you up and down with no issues. We were room with bed and breakfast, the breakfast was superb with so much selection and caters for everyone breakfast is served from 07.30 until 10.30. The pools open at 09.00 and during our stay there was no mad rush to get loungers as plenty were free throughout the day. The pool bar was good value for a beer. 5euro and wine 4 euro. Never had snacks. Service was at times not the quickest but they were at times on there own. Pool towels were available for a refundable 10 euro each, keep the ticket they give you or you may not be able to get the deposit back. Overall staff were welcoming and always on hand for any issues. We would definitely go back for a short break here again.
