This is not a four-star hotel, but the location is great
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one week in July. We have mixed feelings about our stay.
Our room was sold as having a "side sea view", but the view was actually much better than expected. The room was quite small, but it was bright and had a lovely view. We also liked the hotel's interior design.
Breakfast was included in the price and it was excellent. There was a large selection of food and something for everyone. We did not eat any other meals at the hotel.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is right next to the harbour and within walking distance of many restaurants, cafés and shops. It was very easy to explore the area from the hotel.
Unfortunately, housekeeping was inconsistent. On some days the bin was not emptied, sometimes there was no toilet paper in the room, and on other days we received only one towel. We also found hairs on the bed and in the sink, which was disappointing.
The hotel offered entertainment every evening. During our stay, there was supposed to be a DJ one evening, but because of a football match he was watching the game with other guests instead. There were already several TV screens showing the match, so we found this very unprofessional and not what we would expect from a four-star hotel. On the same evening, the bar waiter seemed to forget our order while also watching the match.
Overall, this is not a hotel that feels like a true four-star property. However, because of the excellent location, beautiful views and very good breakfast, I would probably stay here again.

Fantastic hotel
Stayed for 4 nights, great location! Food was lovely, hotel was spotless and the staff are very nice & friendly. Will definitely be going again
Ideal hotel for someone with mobility issues
Booked this hotel a while back for my elderly mother 87 and freind who both needed mobility scooters to get around. Their Criteria was huge. Had to have somewhere they could have scooter and be able to plug in and charge. Phoned hotel direct and no problem was told wouldn't be able to get in lift but can leave in foyer and charge over night. Short walk to lift and stright out lift door and room opposite. Needed walk in shower , no problem cant garrentee hand rail. thats fine we have a suction one we can hire or bring. Must have a sea veiw. Paid a bit extra and wow what a veiw they have. 12th floor over looking marina and sea all around and the glass balcony allows a veiw while sitting down too. Breakfast included and was no complaints from either of them , fresh eggs cooked to their likeing every morning and plenty of fruit along with the usual cooked and continental. The only thing that was a small urk was someone mentioned no kettle in the room in the reveiws which luckly i had read before hand. So travel kettle in the case and 2 mugs, sorted. Fridge in the room for their milk. The hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere the staff have all been very friendly and helpful. The fact that is adult only allowed mum and freind to use the pools without fear of being splashed by any little ones. And the hand rails and wide steps gave them the freedom to climb in and out with out assistance. Over all if you have mobility issues this is the hotel for you . We are so puzzled at the negative reviews as thats not our experience at all and would definitely be booking a return visit here

Great week.
Like many others have said the best thing about this hotel is the location. It couldn’t be much better. Nice lobby and friendly and helpful reception staff in our experience anyway. Same for the pool bar staff. Clean and well maintained pool area though we did spot some cat poo in the grassy area which put us off sitting there. Room was fine except for a dodgy shower head and possibly some drawers. Maid service was very good and we never had a problem. Bit of noise one night from some Spanish guests but that was it. I really don’t get the whole towel hiring thing when you can just bring your own. All in all we had an excellent stay and would gladly return to this hotel.

Rooms dated & very noisey at night
The room didn’t feel properly cleaned. The bedsheets appeared not to have been changed, with the bed simply being made, and there were still visible stains on the bedside table and floor. The bathroom also looked dated and there was very little storage, with no drawers to put your clothes in so we lived out of out suitcase for a week. There was also no mirror in the room apart from the one in the bathroom.
The curtains didn’t fully cover the window, meaning the room was never completely dark. We also found that when closing one side of the sliding door, the other side would open, which was quite frustrating. Noise was another major issue. Our room was directly above the sports bar, so it was very noisy until around 11:30pm–midnight.
On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was nice, and the food, drinks and staff at the Sun & Moon Bar were all lovely and welcoming.
