We are currently here now …… 3/6 of us have had D&V I don’t think we can blame the food as we have all ate different stuff and kept away from the common things that make you ill!! It seems a 24 hour bug!!
The hotel itself is cleaned daily (or seems it) there is hand sanitizer everywhere (make you think they know they have a problem)
Rooms are spacious and the cleaners visit every day!!
Pool area is a bit small for the size of the hotel but we’ve never had a problem getting a longer!!
Drinks are ok as well - the animation staff are fantastic!!
The views from the sea view rooms are amazing
There’s a few bars down the hill but it’s a good 2km+ walk to the marina!!
Would we stay here again - no thank you!!
Currently staying here with a group of friends to celebrate our 40th Birthday’s.
I am writing this from my sick bed, where I have been all day to the joys of D & V.
Having looked at previous reviews over the last few weeks, it would seem I am not the only one to be struck down. We knew this from reading reviews on the way to the airport. Knew what food we were staying away from. And thought the hotel will of sorted it out considering it was that bad it was hospitalising people. Clearly not!!!
I also agree with another guest who says that the bar staff of and evening favour the paying customers, not those that have already paid an all inclusive price.
The hotel rooms are great! Only good thing about the hotel to be honest. Beautiful view, which has gotten me through my day in bed at present. But that is the only thing I would recommend this hotel for, everything else is not worth risking your health over!!!
Lovely hotel. It’s not the ritz but it’s not far from it. Great location to lots of restaurants and activities. Try the cable car it’s unreal. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Drinks bit dull as cocktails were like cordial but can’t win them all.. would definitely go back Lovely sea view from room
A great holiday at the best Benalmadena. We stayed as bed and breakfast - breakfast was good Selection. Hotel location is great - next to a lovely little beach and great restaurant -La Carla- other beaches/cafes and shops on the main strip short walk. Taxi ride to Marina only 7/8 euros and comes within 5 mins once called from reception (apart from market day Friday) this has great shops/restaurants aquarium and lots of boat excursions. Hotel room cleaned every day and great views- has little fridge and kettle. Evening entertainment was great- we came back most nights for some Drinks and watched shows (ranged from flamenco dancing/magic shows/singers) the drinks very reasonable and lots of choice! Hotel staff are very friendly and hard working - Special shout out to Barman Mike! What a superstar- so Friendly and attentive! Pools are cleaned and levels checked regularly really good for kids as it’s not too deep- Sunbeds are also sprayed/cleaned daily and are in good condition- Many thanks to all at Best Benalmadena!
Fabulous Location for us as bus stops outside very Cheap to travel around with green bus card friendly,rooms large 2 double beds good bathrooms but could do with updating needs full refurbishment leak in ceiling had been patched up leaking all night had to get up and put waste bin under it and towels down to mopup the flood it was repaired next day staff very helpful 😀 food ok for what you pay .I hope management take my next comment very seriously. I have read many comments about the the standard of cleanliness in this hotel people were blaming the staff but they are cleaning all the time I would the guests are responsible for a for a lot or it I noticed the hand wash was on the check In at the restraunt not in the door way as you enter the restraunt I observed guests going into the restraunt many times very few cleaned their hands I mentioned this to the guy that I think was restraunt manager but he just surged his shoulders people were going to buffet tables and touching the food .
