Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Overall, we had a lovely stay, and there were plenty of things to praise. The staff were genuinely lovely, particularly those working in the bar. A special thank you to Vangie for singing on my birthday - such a thoughtful touch that made the occasion extra special. ❤️
The cleaners deserve a special mention, too. The hotel looked spotless, and the pool area was lovely, with a huge amount of effort going into keeping everything clean and presentable. The views were gorgeous, and the drinks were refreshingly cheap.
The shower, however, deserves its own review. The water pressure was so powerful I’m fairly certain it removed several layers of skin and blew my freckles clean off. I've never known anything like it. Not in a good way.
One small disappointment was that towels weren’t replaced as regularly as we would have liked.
Unfortunately, my party came down with horrendous diarrhoea andduring our stay. Thankfully, it lasted around 24 hours, but it was certainly not the holiday experience we had in mind.
I want to be fair. The hotel appeared spotless, the food and restaurant seemed lovely, and the pool area was clearly well maintained. However, this is something the hotel really needs to investigate and address. From conversations with other guests, it appeared that we were far from the only ones experiencing the same symptoms. Several people I spoke to seemed to be going through exactly the same thing, which raises concerns that this may be an ongoing issue rather than an isolated incident.
Of course, I cannot say what caused the illness, and I wouldn't want to make accusations without evidence. It could have been a virus circulating among guests, but when so many people appear to be affected, it needs to be taken seriously.
It's a real shame, because there is so much to like about this hotel, and the staff deserve credit for the effort they put in.
I want to return next year but need more reassurance.
Hotel and rooms clean and staff ok. Food was cheap quality mainly pasta , chicken and pork.Meat and fish when available was frugal. Pasta sauces were out of a tin and runny. Wife had sickness and diarrhoea.
Hotel was ok but second day in I got food poisoning as did many others would give this place a miss
We stayed at the hotel on a all inclusive package. Our room was a deluxe one at the front of the hotel and was great with fantastic views along the coast.. The hotel is very clean and the staff helpful. Great service at the bar. The meals were quite good with plenty of choice and quite varied. They also had a station where they cooked various dishes in front of you. Plenty of room round the pool and a nice quite beach nearby. This hotel is situated just on the edge of all the hustle and bustle so we found it nice and peaceful. I see there has been a few reports of people being ill and blaming the food.. in my opinion this could well be bugs transferred by other residents so please use the ample sanitizers spread around the hotel. Staff were really thorough about cleanliness. We had a private transfer from Malaga Airport which was great and only took 20 minutes.
We've used Best Hotels in several parts of Spain and Andorra. Never been disappointed yet. Food choice is very adequate. The Staff are professional from Reception, Bars, Restaurant right across the board to cleaners and bedroom stewards. I recommend Best Benalmadina to anyone planning their Hols
