Located in Benalmadena, in a residential area just 200 m from the beach and Malaga Airport is about 8 km away. This hotel is 2 km from the city centre and its many shops and entertainment areas while the stunning Marina City is only 1 km away. The hotel offers a cosy bar, a souvenir shop, a TV room and a restaurant. The hotel also offers laundry service and the younger guests will be entertained at the kids' club and playground. The hotel boasts a water park, with a lake pool and water games for children. For the younger ones there are two animal-shaped pools, a shark and sea serpent, a mushroom-shaped shower and a tower with two water slides and a splash bucket that will make for an exciting holiday.
Globales Los Patos Park, Benalmádena Date of Stay: October 2026 Length of Stay: 7 Nights Board Basis: All Inclusive Rating: ⭐⭐½☆☆ (2.5/5) We arrived at Globales Los Patos Park at around 12:30am after a long day of travelling. The transfer from Malaga Airport took approximately 35 minutes, with two hotel drop-offs before ours. Check-in was quick and efficient, and we were given our wristbands and room key cards before heading up to Room 926 on the ninth floor. Rooms The room was clean but very basic. It contained one double bed and one single bed, a wall-mounted TV (with no English-speaking channels), a fridge with two complimentary bottles of water, and a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, shelves, spare pillows and duvets. A safe was available for an additional charge. One disappointment was the lack of a kettle, tea, coffee or cups, something many guests appreciate after a late-night arrival. The bathroom consisted of a sink, vanity area, toilet, bidet, bath with overhead shower, and hairdryer. Towels were fresh and clean throughout the stay. Food & Drink As many previous reviewers have commented, the food became repetitive, particularly at lunch and dinner. The restaurant layout could also benefit from some thought. Basic items such as butter were located away from the bread and toast stations, resulting in guests constantly walking from one side of the restaurant to the other. By the time you sat down, food was often no longer hot. We tried dining at different times throughout the service periods and unfortunately found the food to be consistently warm rather than hot. One morning I attempted to use a microwave to heat up my breakfast, only to find the door was jammed. That said, there were some highlights. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were excellent, light and fluffy every day. The creamy potatoes and cream of vegetable soup were also particularly enjoyable. Pools & Outdoor Areas The pools are undoubtedly the main attraction and are ideal for families with young children. There are: • A swimming pool where inflatables are not permitted. • A children's pool with smaller slides and water features. • The larger slide pool for the main water slides. However, the sunbed layout around the children's pool needs improvement. The beds are positioned so closely together that guests often have to step over other loungers and tables just to reach their own. Removing a small number of beds to create walkways would make the area much more comfortable. My biggest concern was the lack of a designated smoking or vaping area. Guests were smoking and vaping among families and children, often only feet from the pool. I witnessed cigarette ends being extinguished close to walkways used by barefoot guests and even saw people entering the pool while still smoking. For a family-orientated resort, this was disappointing and unacceptable. Security Concerns During our stay we experienced two incidents that raised concerns. Firstly, we returned to our room one afternoon to find the door unlocked and standing open. This was reported immediately to Reception, who advised they would inform Housekeeping Management. Unfortunately, no feedback or apology was ever received. Secondly, a man entered the entertainment area claiming to be collecting donations for a charity supporting blind and deaf people. Several guests appeared to donate money, including my husband. Two nights later the same individual returned, which raised suspicions. After reporting the matter to Reception, staff quickly intervened and removed him from the premises while he was attempting to approach other guests. Whilst I commend the staff for acting once informed, it does beg the question: how was this individual able to gain access to hotel guests in the first place? Entertainment This is very much a family hotel and the entertainment team work exceptionally hard for the children. They were enthusiastic, engaging and deserve recognition for their efforts. The adult entertainment, which generally began around 10pm, was less appealing and attendance often dropped off shortly afterwards, with many families heading back to their rooms. Additional Observation One facility I've appreciated in other all-inclusive hotels is access to water refill stations. I could not find any such facility at Los Patos and ended up purchasing bottled water from local shops throughout the week. Overall Globales Los Patos Park is a hotel that excels in providing fun facilities for children, with excellent pools and a hardworking entertainment team. However, repetitive and often lukewarm food, overcrowded sunbathing areas, smoking around families, security concerns and the lack of basic amenities prevent it from meeting the standard I would expect from a four-star hotel. For families with young children the water park is a major attraction, but overall I do not feel this hotel lives up to its advertised 4-star rating.
A good hotel with a lot of attention to detail. The pools were always very clean. Food was very good. Room basic but acceptable ( 3rd floor). The only complaint was queuing.
The hotel is amazing staff are fantastic. Bar staff Guillermo & Mariana are amazing, providing an excellent service and very attentive. Can’t fault the hotel or staff one bit.
We’ve all been to different places and some are better than others I get that but for me this is over rated as a 4 star hotel .
Rooms , requested a pool view and we had a pool view , perfect no complaints, rooms recently freshened up but a bit clinical and dull no holiday vibe no colour but clean enough although we had ants but staff did come and treat the area with a spray and that seamed to resolve that concern for the remainder of our stay .
We had to hire a kettle as no kettle in rooms , you have to pay for this and get paper cups and the tea bags or condiments were not topped up every day Infact at all , you also have to pay for your pool towels and if you want to get fresh towels it’s 2 euro to change them.
Food was all good enough , average really no show cooking , but apart from the freshly cooked just put out items the heat lamps are not sufficient enough at keeping the food warm so if you don’t go for dinner early enough most thinks are slightly warm .
Deserts ran out of the popular stuff and took ages for those items to be topped up so you could actually get some
Restaurant, it’s a bit all over the place and you have a higher step count than necessary if it was more organised i.e porridge out at breakfast time no bowls or spoons have to wonder around looking for stuff .
The bread is no where near the butter, the sauces are no where near the hot food it’s just a bit of a scramble .
Temu entertainment, honestly this part would give paracetamol a sore head , it’s just loud music and a man dressed up in a tacky costume jumping about there was no enjoyment in that at all but our last holiday before this one was the Royal Son Bou Family club in Menorca and if you’ve been there before then well you know that that’s a REAL 4 star hotel .
Was a decent enough stay a bit dull , someone needs to give the staff some trolls treat ………..
Was good enough but wouldn’t return not even for free .
For young family, the pool and slides keep the children entertained and it felt safe for them. We were staying half board, but decided to pay and eat in the hotel on an Asian themed night. I can quite categorically say it was one of the worst meals we have ever had. Nothing Asian about it, vegetables were overcooked to mush and everything was cold. Rooms were clean and comfortable and majority of staff friendly. We were disappointed to have to pay 60 euros for our daughter who lives in Spain to visit us with her newborn baby. The hotel insisting she had a day pass even though she wasn't using any of the facilities.
