Rooms. Very good Conformable, spacious, clean and well serviced Food Very good. Good choice and usually piping hot Pools Great family pools. Usual problem with beds. If you go to the pool after breakfast, most beds are taken. We were a group of 7 adults and 6 kids and it was impossible to get more than a couple of beds together If you reserve some beds and go to breakfast the pool guys take towels off the beds after 15 mins. It's difficult to get right i know, but the situation is made worse by the numerous amounts of cabana double beds around all the pools. If anyone sat on them the very keen pool guys would be on you asking for €20 euros! The whole bed problem would be alleviated if these beds were free or replaced with more sunbeds. Entertainment. Pretty Good. Plenty of day time activities to get involved with. David was good fun. Night time was kids mini disco at 8 30 followed by various music shows at 10pm Sone were good but got a bit bored with the flamenco night which was a bit repetitive for us. Also I would questions the location. The outdoor adult pool location was fine and most nights were there, but the indoor Atlantic Lounge was a bit claustrophobic in a formal theatre type style. We were surprised that the layout wasn't chairs around tables in a more cabaret club formation. Maybe the Spanish and French guests prefer this. I would say there is a 30/30/30 mix of Spanish, French and English guests. More Spanish in the daytime who come in on day passes! The Saphir lounge was very nice. Great guitarist/ vocalist early evening from 7.30pm which was nice, but most were going to dinner then She would have been good later on as an alternative to the main entertainment. We were All inclusive plus. Drinks were pretty good. Nice beer, drinkable wine and good local spirits with some branded international drinks Make sure you ask for them by brand or you get the local spirit. My constant gripe with most All inclusive hotels is the fact that there is always something not inclusive that needs extra payments ie Bourbon, Champagne, freshly squeezed orange, Cabanas This is not ALL inclusive Take them away! All in all, we had a great holiday but a few tweaks and this would be a fantastic hotel
Review of Estival Torrequebrada Stay: 4th–9th August 2026 | 6 adults
Pros
Cons
On this occasion, reception did kindly allow us to use the restaurant, which we appreciated. However, we feel this should be the standard policy rather than an exception. For a family/group of six adults, this was particularly disappointing. Having paid for an all-inclusive stay, we felt we should have been able to access a proper meal on our final day while waiting for our late transfer.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and there were several positives, particularly the food, location, cleanliness, views and peaceful atmosphere. The hotel has a lot going for it, but there are also some areas where improvements could make a significant difference to the guest experience.
The biggest areas for improvement, in our opinion, would be the entertainment, drinks selection and quality, pool facilities, breakfast juices and the arrangements for guests with late transfers on their final day.
Despite these points, we had an enjoyable five-night stay and would recommend the hotel for those looking for a quiet and relaxing break, particularly if you value a peaceful location and good food.
Well what can I say… the best holiday at Estival Torrrequebrada! The hotel was so clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. With a special mention to Oscar in the restaurant,he went above and beyond and deserves recognition for his professional friendly service. The food has a wide range of choice, that was very fresh and restaurant is clean with beautiful sea views, they themed different nights but had other choices too, always a pizza bar available, freshly baked breads, fruits, cheeses, meats, lots of pretty desserts. We loved the Mexican night with the big sombrero with nanchos in and my daughter loved the chocolate fountain. There were live cooking stations where you could see them making the pizzas. Favourite for brunch were the cheese and ham toasties. The sausages are really nice and tasty, the snack bar had chips and chicken nuggets, pancakes, pizza, burgers etc for the kids and then they had self service drinks stations with original full fat coke, Coke Zero, sprite, water etc. self service beer/wine machines. They only orange /apple/pineapple squash missed having real orange juice for breakfast but not a major issue. The have whippy icecream in vanilla, then a mix of chocolate and strawberry and with tubs and different sauces but branded ice lollies etc are not included in all inclusive but can be bought for extra, along with branded bottles/cans for a few euros. They have their own house versions of Malibu vodka etc. When staying 7 nights we could pre book alcarte restaurant, which was by the casino and was a nice quiet ambiance with lovely staff and a posher 3 course menu and table service (kids menu is available too) The cocktails are available, we liked the mojitos and pina coladas. And you can get mocktails too. We didn’t struggle for sun beds at any time of the day and the hotels policy is to not reserve them, so if you can’t get one speak to the pool staff and they were really helpful. You cannot eat by the pool to avoid mess and insects so you eat by the pool bars but you have tokens for the thick hotel plastic cups for the pool area to avoid broken glass, we didn’t mind this as they weren’t the flimsy plastic cups. Children are not allowed in the other pools so keeps it quiet for guest without children. The hotel adjoins a casino which we didn’t use. The entertainment was on fairly late like 9/10pm at night kids, we wished it was earlier as we were tired after early starts but understand this is custom in Spain and expected it to be later. Mini disco around 8pm where the kids dance to music and have face paint. We attended the flamenco dancing in the main hall, karaoke and the pool party which was great as the kids loved going in the pool at night and they had a Dj and the entertainment staff dancing and a float to run and jump into the water. During the day they also did water sports like volleyball and yoga with floats and games. The breakfast times I think roughly were 7:30-10:30 and lunch 1-3:30 and dinner 7:00-9:30/10 and the pool snack bar served inbetween them times so we never went hungry! They have a shop downstairs, where we bought big bottles of water for €2.50 but you could use water self service stations to refill if you liked by bars and restaurant. The shop also had gifts, pool toys, essentials like suncream, toiletries sweets etc. opposite the shop was the arcade which you tapped card on, that was fun, and they pool tables upstairs and football table outside. They had a singer on most nights. And the terrace by the play park was perfect, we bought uno or cards from the hotel shop and enjoyed a game as a family before dinner. The views are beautiful! The WiFi is good and you can request an iron and ironing board ringing reception and they bought it to our room. There is a walk down to the seafront were you use your room key for access to the gates by the pool to exit, also a lovely sandy beach to the side of the hotel that has a great beach bar with amazing food the nachos were great along with cocktails, we bought bucket and spade and bodyboard from the souvenir shop at the top of the stairs and across the road by the Mexican/indian restaurant (which was lovely for food) the opposite way when you come out of the hotel is more quiet but does have some nice authentic bars /restaurants along the way. Trocadero was a leopard safari bar we went to for my daughter’s birthday and it was the best steak we had tried, and decorated lovely. We walked along the front towards Benalmadena and there is another beach bar for cocktails and as we walked along there’s lots of restaurants with open bbqs, people selling stuff and braiding. So I think the hotel is situated perfectly as it’s quiet if you want but walkable to amenities and to see different things. We were there for spain winning the World Cup so the atmosphere was brilliant, the kids have flags and face painted, We did a day trip to Malaga (highly recommend) this was on the bus as you come out of the hotel and go up the hill on the left there’s the bus stop either side of the road depending on direction, the reception staff are helpful and tell you which bus and the times are on google maps. Think it was 7-12euros for a family of 4 and an hour journey, bus can get busy. The marina is walkable about 40mins (with bars to stop for drinks along the way) with lots of restaurants. We used the bolt app instead of Uber and that was fairly cheap instead of walking on way home. We also did a trip 10minute bolt drive to colomares castillo a beautiful castle like building and an old town to explore. We also did Marbella for day trip you changed bus at Fuengirola little more hectic at bus station. The rooms in the hotel is spacious and clean, huge balcony, we had a side sea view so could see the sea from the right was lovely looking at it in the morning, and were on 8th floor. There is a partition across the room with a tv either side and a mini fridge, my child had a pop up camp bed and my teenager slept on the sofa bed. I wish there was a door/wall to the partion wall for privacy, and the room did lack mirrors, and storage like drawers (there was wardrobe space in the hallway and a safe) the aircon was brilliant and cooled us down in the 35 degree heat wave, the cleaners were so lovely and efficient and the room was cleaned daily. The shower room was big and decorated nicely with a hairdryer and shower gel and shampoo provided. There were English channels on the tv so able to put cartoons on for the little one whilst we were getting ready. I was so pleased with this hotel, it felt safe and immaculate and would definitely recommend it and can’t wait to return!
The hotel is very modern and decorated well. The general areas are clean but the stairwells are unkempt and very often you see cockroaches.
The food does have good choice, but it isn’t very warm. The snack bar isn’t the best.
The adult only pool area is clean and you can get sunbeds up until around lunch time. It would be nice to have some music on in this area. Some lifeguards are quick or saying no to kids in the pool but some allow it.
The family pool is very busy we only used to do aqua aerobics and running and it was far to busy to be doing it in there.
I feel the entertainment staff need to make themselves known to the adult only pool so you know what is on. Or maybe a like adult only aqua class would be amazing!
The hotel is about a 20- 30 minute walk into Benalmadena although there is a Lidl, and some other shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.
The rooms were really nice, really cleanly decorated and spacious. Cleaners came every day.
The only let down was our flight was at 11pm so we didn’t get collected until 8pm and we couldn’t use the restaurant for food from 12pm just the snack bar.
The entertainment was a bit flat to be honest. Would be nice to have a nice singer or some adult only entertainment in the bar or patio area upstairs.
We wouldn’t travel to this hotel again
Wouldn’t bother. Can’t even get a sunbed. People just leave their towels on a morning and you can’t even get a bed. Decided to do the same this morning and then got told that specific one had been reserved. Other choice was to go to the children’s pools where you can actually get any peace and quiet. Don’t bother with this place. It’s a joke. In addition to this, the food isn’t even great. It’s mediocre at most. Again, don’t waste your money or time.
