Just a short transfer away from Malaga airport, this perfectly situated hotel is just 250 metres from the lovely beach of Benalmadena and within walking distance to the centre, where a wide range of restaurants and bars are available all year round.
Opened in 2004, this modern hotel is equipped with all standard amenities to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. The hotel is suitable for both couples and families due to its range of facilities. It has a large outdoor swimming pool and summer terrace is perfect for those lazy days in the sun; with a snack bar and disco bar at hand you do not have to travel far to get a bite to eat or a beverage to quench your thirst.
If you're looking for something a bit more energetic to do whilst in the resort; there is a games room and mini golf available on site as well as a sports area and fitness room. A large entertainment programme is in place to fill your days or nights with something a bit different. When you feel like winding down, a trip to the spa or the sauna won't go amiss.
Rooms at Benalmadena Palace:
The apartments are bright and spacious and feature a separate bedroom and a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area and kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with an electric hob, fridge and microwave. All rooms are complete with free Wi-Fi and finished with a terrace featuring views of the mountains. Rooms also include air conditioning/heating. Pool view and sea view rooms are available at a supplement.

Very good for families with kids
Just back from a lovely relaxing week and we were pretty impressed with this hotel as we booked last minute and got a good deal with On The Beach (£1300 less than TUI).
- Staff were friendly
- Pool although not the biggest and only 1.3M deep was good, there’s also a shallow baby pool. Always found sunbeds. Pool only opens at 9am and I got a telling off for being there at 8:30am just sitting reading my book, I was told I had to leave… 9am seemed late, I like to sit in peace with a coffee in the morning on holiday and I know some people like a swim before it gets busy. I dread to think how many kids are driving their parents mad asking if the pools open yet 😆
- All Inclusive was not all inclusive unfortunately. Certain drinks and food had to be paid for but it was fine, most things were included. Breakfast was the best mealtime as food was better than lunch and dinner. We decided to eat out a few times.
- Room was sufficient for us 2 adults 1 child. Kitchenette had all the stuff you’d need to cook basic meals
- The hill isn’t that bad and half of it can be avoided by going through the parking garage. We walked left out of reception a few times to go for coffee at The Meeting Point cafe and this way there are no hills, just a gentle incline for 10 mins.
- Surrounding area - 40 min walk to Marina down a straight road. We didn’t rate the marina tbh, it was very crowded and the food not great. Loads of Irish bars etc 10 mins away from hotel on foot. Cafes and some of the best restaurants on the same road as The Meeting Point cafe. We tried Lime and Lemon which served unbelievable food and the best cocktails! We tried an Italian too but unsure of the name. Book in advance down there as it gets very busy around 9pm.
All in all I would go back for a week in the sun!

Great hotel for families
Lovely hotel, very clean, great pool area and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is fantastic for families, great kids club and lots to do. Big shout out to Stefi, Claudia, Vero and Fabi for the kids club and activities - my eight year old had a ball. Highlight was the Benny Around the World show - kids get to perform in it and feel like superstars for the night.

Great holiday with kids
We’ve just returned from 4 nights here with our 9 and 7 year olds and overall had a really good stay.
The hotel & room: The hotel was very, very clean and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and functional, with a nice balcony. The beds were comfortable, including the sofa bed, which was surprisingly easy to pull out and fold away each day. The air conditioning was also excellent.
We did have an issue with ants in the room one evening, but as soon as we reported it, the maintenance man came and dealt with it within minutes. Housekeeping then came in and mopped the room, so we were really impressed with how quickly it was dealt with.
Food: Breakfast was good, with a decent selection of pastries, hot food, eggs and omelettes. The restaurant could get busy, but it never felt chaotic and the staff were very efficient.
Dinner was okay. There was a good salad bar and plenty of options such as pizza, burgers and pasta, so the kids were very happy. Personally, I never found anything at dinner that I particularly enjoyed, so we swapped dinner for lunch and ate out a couple of evenings instead. There are some great restaurants nearby, so there are plenty of alternatives if you fancy a change.
Pool & kids: The pool was busy, but we could always find a sunbed, which was one of the things that attracted us to the hotel — no sunbed wars! 😂
The kids went to the kids’ club a couple of times and really enjoyed getting out of the sun for a while and doing various crafts.
The biggest highlights for them were definitely the inflatable slide at the pool and the foam party on Friday. They absolutely loved both.
We also went to the evening entertainment a couple of nights, which was good and the kids enjoyed it.
Location: The location is really convenient. It’s only a short walk to shops and restaurants and around a 40-minute walk to the marina. There’s a McDonald’s about 10 minutes away and a Burger King just 2 minutes away, right beside a decent supermarket.
Airport transfers: We booked directly with the hotel while they were running an offer that included airport transfers, which was fantastic. Our driver was waiting for us at arrivals and we were taken in a really nice people-carrier type vehicle with plenty of space. It made the arrival and departure much easier and was a real advantage of booking direct.
Overall: A really good family-friendly hotel, particularly if cleanliness, friendly staff, a good location and easy pool access are important to you. The kids had a great time, and we’d definitely consider staying again.

Perfect family holiday and excellent for gluten free
Had an amazing weeks holiday here with my family. Im coeliac (gluten free) and the night we arrived we visited the buffet restaurant, the chef met with me and pointed out all the items that were gluten free but told me to order from a member of staff so they could be prepared fresh in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination...I knew then I was in safe hands. Every morning I had a fresh omelette prepared for me with gluten free toast and also enjoyed the fresh fruit, yogurts, delicious coffee etc all without issue. At lunch I could order gf toasties and have them pool side with the kids. They also do the best poolside cocktails ever (just enquire about gf at the bar). The hotel is so clean, the facilities for kids are excellent and the location is perfect, especially the little pathway from the kids club area that goes straight to the supermarket at the back (out a locked gate, kids cant escape dont worry). They manage to create both a relaxing vibe for sunbathing at the pool but also a really happy, child friendly party atmosphere with poolside music at certain times and also pull out some little activities for the kids for an hour at 3. Our favourite was the foam party on the friday. The nearest beach is lovely for swimming and all the restaurants we tried within walking distance were of very good quality). Overall an amazing stay with lovely staff and great facilities and hassle free for coeliacs like me. Don't be put off by the reviews that mention the hill to the hotel. We got a buggy up it every evening but there is also transfers from the hotel if you need it.

We stayed at Benalmádena Palace at the end of July and had the best time! From start to finish, we had such a lovely holiday and came home with so many happy memories.
The hotel had a brilliant atmosphere and was perfect for families. There was always plenty going on, and the children absolutely loved it.
A special mention has to go to Stefi, Jesus and Vedo, who were absolutely fantastic and really helped make our holiday so enjoyable. They were so friendly, welcoming and brilliant with the children.
We were genuinely sad to leave and would definitely consider returning.
