This hotel is situated in Benidorm, on the sea front and only 30 metres from Poniente beach. The city centre is 300 m away where guests will find many shops, bars and restaurants. This beach hotel has a total of 108 accommodation units, of which 61 doubles, 46 individuals and 1 presidential suite. The property offers guests the use of a reading lounge, as well as a games area. Two bars serve a selection of drinks and there is also a restaurant on-site. The spacious rooms are overlooking the pool and are all provided with a sofa and a flat-screen TV. In addition there is a bathroom with a hydro massage shower and design amenities. This hotel offers a swimming pool with a terrace, sun loungers and parasols.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We arrived to the hotel around 11am, and we're told are rooms would be a few hours before we could check in. We had to change into our shorts etc from our airport travel clothes, and it was abit of a nightmare. We recieved a text at 2pm, some only at 3pm to say our room was ready. We were fitted with wristbands and on a positive note this was much better than having a card key, as the door opened with the wrist band.
In the meantime we went upto the top bar and sampled the cocktails. Slightly disappointed that not all are made from scratch but they use pre-mixed flavourings. The view though is beautiful and they have cabana beds but they can only be used by Premium A.I. which we wasn't aware it existed.
We went to our rooms which we're clean and the bathroom had two sinks, so there was no waiting when we was getting ready. The shower was very powerful and had multiple settings, the hairdryer was better than normal ones abroad. The room itself only had plug sockets at one side of the bed, so was annoying when trying to charge phone's etc. They charge you €3 euros per day for the use of the safe, which isn't refundable, and as we had paid for ultra-all-inclusive i thought this should of been free or atleast refundable. The maids we're fab and we got fresh sheets daily, the bed is comfy. The mini fridge was really cold and had soft drinks in, and a complementary bottle of fizz. There is a kettle but we didn't use it.
The restaurant is small and the staff are mostly unfriendly or helpful, god help you if you sit down without a table mat, 1 particularly was angry and rude. The food isn't the best but not too bad. There was only 1 coffee machine so we had to wait most mornings for a cuppa.
The pool is very small and there is a fight daily for sunbeds we only went to the pool twice.
The lifts are slow.
The night bar downstairs is ok, but they stop bar service at midnight and we thought this was early for all inclusive and if you wanted a late drink you had to go elsewhere, we was greatful for the Yellow Submarine which is just down the road. Although we had paid extra for Ultra all-inclusive they still used the local spirits, unless you asked, and even after drinking at the hotel all day, the drinks didn't seem to be the strength they should have been for genuine premium spirits.
Too far away from the New town, but very close to old town. They had no spare room to hire for late transfers and the cut off your all-inclusive at midday the day you leave. This meant we couldn't get drinks or food after 12noon, but was only getting picked up at 20.25pm.
The holiday cost £2,250 which is our most expensive week away in Benidorm, we will not be staying here again. Had better deals for better treatment and better facilities.
Amazing hotel , staff are exceptional Carol , Patricia , Karen to name just a few experts in hospitality great location , views amazing, so much good to chose from , coming back again but it’s definitely the staff that has made the holiday thankyou !!!
Here now.Room 213.sadly going home tomorrow.Very clean hotel.Rooms beds pillows shower all very good.Maid service excellent.Named brand alcohol and cocktails all great.Food good.Have loved the choice of fish and salads every day.Excellent choice of meats fish seafood etc.Ice cream machine and ice creams lollies cabinet has been our go to when we couldn’t manage a desert.My partner is a very fussy eater but has managed to find something every meal.A shout out to the bar manager who knew my drinks to take to the beach of 7 up and iced tea daily.great holiday.thankyou.
McGuire room 505 This was our 5th stay, and it seems to get better each year. The rooms are very clean with beautiful linen, the towels are immaculate. Although the bathrooms could benefit a refurbishment, just looking a little tired, this does not take anything away from the cleanliness. The dining room is very small, but has plenty of outside space to eat, the food is excellent The dining room staff are so nice and friendly, very professional and extremely helpful as are all the staff, particularly Carol who is our go to person for knowledge of the local area The location of this hotel is across the road from Pontiente beach, which is a much quieter area than Lavante beach. We are already planning our next visit

The buffets had such a wide array of freshly-cooked food and far surpassed the quality I was expecting on an all-inclusive holiday.
The location is fantastic - right on the seafront - which meant we could go to the beach with minimal hassle.
We tried some of the activities and they were a fun way to meet other guests. We even won a voucher during the bingo for both of us to use the spa! The Friday foam party was also very fun - special thanks to staff member Giuliana for making us laugh lots during those activities.
Having never been to Benidorm before and never had an all-inclusive holiday before, I would definitely go back to Villa Del Mar and I know my other half feels exactly the same. Thank you all!
