The Sol Pelícanos-Ocas resort is located in Benidorm, in Rincón de Loix, and only 300 m from the beautiful Levante Beach and at 2km from the center. Formed by the “Pelícanos” and “Ocas” buildings, this spectacular resort is ideal for family vacations all year round and for discovering one of the most important tourist destinations in the Mediterranean thanks to its privileged climate, beaches and great nightlife. Cribs are free upon request.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Travelled with friends who had already booked double rooms I booked a single room for myself I was extremely happy with my room large bed to myself heaven both bedroom and bathroom very clean. Check in staff very helpful and polite as were all of the staff in the hotel and the entertainment lads were brilliant. We were all inclusive and the food was really good lots of veriety and fresh we all stayed in the Ocas building as booked. I Enjoyed it so much I have re booked for next year 2027 .
Would not come again
Also what made it horrendous was no air con in the main reception. In all the hotels i’ve ever stayed what hotel has no air con at reception!? this was a red flag and i remarked upon checking in i expected it to be working in my room and i was reassured it was ..
It works but more air would blow from a paper fan. It works on an extremely low breeze and vent at the door. Little to no air comes out. We had to call and have maintainence check it out. She said someone will come tomorrow- i demanded they come immediately as my mum was over 70 years old! We had to buy a fan for our room it was that bad! Very very poor!
The food is awful- a breakfast buffet but all the food very poor quality. I tried the hot breakfast took one bite and had to leave it there. I thought i’d be save getting cereal (it was rock hard stale).
The only positive thing about this hotel is the pool is very nice otherwise i would struggle to list anything - i will not be returning.
Bit of a mixed experience here as whilst some bits were fab other things let it down. On arrival the queue to check in was horrendous and the slowest I've ever known, not what you want when you've been travelling all day. It took almost an hour of standing there, so not the best first impression, this really needs to be sorted, the air con in the entrance isn't great either. Our room wasn't ready so we stored our cases and upon fetching them back there had been a leak from the roof I presume and my case was soaking wet through. Luckily my stuff was ok. Staff all seemed lovely though and the maids were fantastic, the rooms are a bit tired in places but they're clean and spacious. We were on floor 12 and the lifts were terrible, either didn't come, took forever and were so hot. The pool area is what I'd come back for in this hotel, it is by far the best in Benidorm, plenty of space to swim and activities at one end if you wish doesn't get in the way of being able to swim if you don't. The swim up bar isn't included in all inclusive which is a shame though as I'm not paying for a drink I've already payed for just to sit there. The food- This was the biggest let down for us, could you find something? Yes, was it good quality and hot, no. Not much for vegetarians and cross contamination wasn't great with other guests picking up meat items with tongs and then putting them back in none meat items, this needs to be kept an eye on. The scrambled eggs were like water. The food served outside to non all inclusive guests looked amazing, it's a shame the same standards aren't given to all inclusive as we have already payed, it's not free. Location is perfect, near the strip but far enough it doesn't affect sleep. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back if the check in and out situation was made much quicker, we however wouldn't recommend all inclusive and would definitely do self catering.
I arrived on the 11th july to a huge queue to check in some people had been in the queue for an hour. The smell as you walked in smelt of sewers.
There was no fresh water and lemon in the fresh water and lemon jug in reception for the whole 5 days I was there.
I was on floor 13 room 1314 , the air con worked for the first 3 days but not the final 2, apparently they sent an engineer up when I was out but it was never fixed.
Breakfast was quite good selection ,I didnt have lunch or dinner. People queueing to put towels on beds from 8am.
My balcony door didnt lock and my bathroom door didnt close.
Cocktoaches by the lifts , 3 out of 5 if them worked but were very slow and hot.
Pair of pink knickers on my balcony on arrival stayed there all 5 nights. Bed was comfy, decent balcony, Would suggest spending a bit more and avoiding this hotel.
We arrived at the hotel this week- we were given a room on the ground floor with a balcony that did not lock and a fridge that did not work. When asked to move rooms they told us we could the next day- when we asked the next day we got the same response. It took them 3 days to come and fix the lock on the balcony doors which made us feel unsafe. Our electricity went off on the 2nd day which left us with no power whatsoever it took them 3 hours to send a person out to look at this. Sunbed situation is so bad people claim sunbeds and go out all day. Empty sunbeds near people are apparently all ‘claimed’ as well. There are no rules on sunbed claiming which is something i’ve never seen in any other hotel.
