Amazing place close to the strip and old town, hotel was spotless and had everything you needed. Warm friendly welcoming staff. Food choice was good but what i really enjoyed were the meal times were set up for adults so times later than most all inclusive hotels. Drinks choice was really good and package includes premium coffees unlike a lot of other hotels. Entertainment was good , i would like to say Judy is a real asset to your hotel. What a hard working lovely lady . I have travelled a lot over the years and rarely return anywhere but already looking to come back next year as i really loved my visit. Well done not one negative from us
My 2nd visit to this hotel and I wasn’t disappointed. Everything was as expected. The food was outstanding with a fantastic choice of dishes. The pool area was clean and well maintained. The room was immaculate with the cleaners doing a fantastic job. Special mention to the dining room staff that looked after us so well. Looking forward to my next stay with you.
The rooms are very spacious and the beds are comfortable.. also cleaned daily Hotel in general is very clean and well maintained The staff are very helpful and welcoming Sandos is located very central for us to visit old or new town
Our 4 visit and this time was the best because the staff are still the same excellent service but this time the hotel is definitely a 5 star hotel will only go back to the wonderful SANDOS MONACO HOTEL
We recently stayed at the Sandos Monaco in Benidorm as a family group of five: myself, my wife, mother, father and my brother-in-law. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay.
We arrived quite late at night, but check-in was straightforward and hassle-free. We had requested a high floor with a sunrise view, and that’s exactly what we got! The view was perfect, and it was great to see that our request had been taken into account.
We had also requested specific room arrangements for the members of our party, with one room needing a walk-in shower and another needing a bath. Unfortunately, the room with the bath wasn’t available initially. However, when we returned to reception to explain the issue, we were told that the hotel would arrange a room change the following day and by 10am the following day it was done. The hotel staff worked hard to accommodate everyone and, importantly, to keep our group together, which we really appreciated.
The rooms themselves were really good and were cleaned every day, which was great to see. There is also a fridge and kettle in the rooms, which is handy to keep drinks cool or if you like a cup of tea in the morning; which I do! If you want milk, teabags, sugar or other supplies, you can pop to the bar or reception and get these at any time, which is a nice touch.
Another useful feature is the water refill stations around the hotel. These are self-service, so I would definitely recommend taking a refillable water bottle with you rather than buying bottled water all the time.
The hotel itself is lovely, the food was great and the drinks were good too with your standard all inclusive package. The evening entertainment in the downstairs bar was also really good, with singers and other acts on most evenings, as well as quizzes and similar activities. These were really good fun and added to the overall atmosphere.
The only real drawback for me was the sunshine around the pool. There is a large block of flats next to the hotel, which casts a shadow over parts of the pool area through the day, If you want to sunbathe all day, you need to choose your spot carefully: the left-hand side of the pool in the morning, while the right-hand side gets sun in the afternoon meaning you have to move if you want to stay in the sun all day. There is also a veranda area that catches the sun all day but it tends to get full very early, with people reserving sunbeds, so getting a spot can be difficult.
Sadly, we also had an unfortunate incident on the very last night of our stay, when one of our party was mugged just outside the hotel. Fortunately, the person responsible didn’t manage to take anything, although our family member suffered a few scrapes during the incident. When we returned to the hotel and explained what had happened, the lady on reception provided some antibacterial spray to help clean his scrapes and scratches. It was a small but thoughtful gesture, and we appreciated her kindness and concern.
Having visited Benidorm a number of times, I have to be honest that this incident has sadly tainted our view of the resort, and we can’t see ourselves returning any time soon. However, I want to stress that this is absolutely nothing to do with the hotel. We were simply unlucky that it happened to one of our party, Incidents like this can happen to anyone, anywhere, and not a reflection on the hotel.
Despite this unfortunate experience, we had a very good stay at the Sandos Monaco. The rooms were comfortable and kept clean, the food and drinks were great, the evening entertainment was excellent, and the staff made a real effort to help us when needed.
We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Benidorm. Just remember to take a refillable water bottle and choose your poolside sunbed carefully!
Overall, a lovely hotel with great food and drinks, clean rooms, excellent entertainment and helpful staff. We had a really enjoyable stay, and the unfortunate incident should not reflect negatively on the hotel itself.
