Fantastic hotel - location, location, location
Fantastic 3 nights. Could not fault this hotel. We will return and were willing to pay a bit extra for a better experience. We have previously stayed at Agua Azul and will not go back there, even though it’s a bit cheaper. The Sandos Monaco is spotlessly clean, has excellent food choices and a perfect location. Plus a good quality free gym. Highly recommended.

Fabulous stay!!
Just returned from a two week holiday in the beautiful Sandos Monaco. I don’t usually bother with reviews but on this occasion I felt I needed too. We were so impressed on arrival. The reception area was welcoming and so clean and fresh. Our room was ready on arrival with a welcome bottle of cava and a fridge which was stocked with soft drinks, water and beer. We were on the 14th floor (1407) which had stunning views of Benidorm and a bonus sea view. Clean room with amazing beds! The location of the hotel was ideal for us. Not too noisy, a short walk to the Old Town and ideal for buses. The food was more than adequate we could always find something to suit our tastes. Good choice of salad and always a selection of main hot dishes and a wonderful array of fresh fruit and a great selection of cheese and meats. We did the upgrade which was absolutely worth it! Great selection of drinks and snacks which were replenished regularly. Big thank you to all the staff! They all work so hard, always polite and helpful and we appreciated everything they did for us, they do the hotel proud!! A special thanks to Nicky. I was a little unwell on my visit (thankfully nothing serious) and she made a point of messaging to ask if I was okay and to not hesitate to contact her if we needed anything. Thank you. The pool area was lovely. We never had a problem getting a sunbed (with an umbrella) as we didn’t come down until around 10, still beds available. Pool entertainment great! All in all we had a fantastic stay! First time to this hotel and we will definitely be back! (you are now our favourite 😊) If there had to be any thing that I missed, it would be the odd night with a bit of karaoke (just a personal choice not a criticism). Once again, thank you and please pass on our gratitude to all staff.
A few suggestions for a nice hotel..
The Sandos Monaco is a very nice hotel. Staff are generally very helpful and the location is ideal. Would return in the future after recently enjoying a fortnight there, but also have a few suggestions for improvements. Food is plentiful and varied, but can be a bit hit and miss for a four-star hotel. Some of it never seemed fully heated. The bedrooms could also do with some renovation. They have not been improved since the last time we visited seven years ago. Which isn't great. Gym could also do with renovation. Some of the machines are from three decades ago. Also charging folk three euros for pool hats on the wellness package seems again a bit tinpot for a four-star hotel. Music at night outside can run to 12am. Might be an idea using the downstairs bar a bit more for foik trying to get some sleep? And the standard problem with folk putting towels down on pool loungers at 8am and disappearing for hours is not only restricted to this hotel, but remains an obvious issue. These are not criticisms of a very good hotel with a pleasant vibe. Just suggestions on what could be improved for the paying customer.

Sandos Monaco – Another Amazing Stay!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sandos Monaco – 9/10
We’ve just returned from another fantastic stay at the Sandos Monaco, and once again, it did not disappoint. This was my second stay at the hotel, and I would definitely come back again.
The hotel is around a 10-minute walk from the beach and is adults-only, making it a lovely place to relax and enjoy your holiday.
From the moment you arrive, the reception team are so welcoming, and you’re greeted with a complimentary welcome drink. All the staff we met were friendly, helpful and welcoming, from the maintenance,cleaners and kitchen team to the waiters, managers, entertainment team and bar staff.
A special thank you to Raul, the food manager, who was so helpful and would always try to accommodate you, especially with dietary requirements. We only found out towards the end of our stay that he could arrange more vegetarian options, which was really appreciated.
A huge thank you also to Nadia and Jeremias at the bar and manager they were all fantastic, friendly and great fun. ❤️
And I can’t forget Erica in the spa. My massage was absolutely fantastic and was one of the highlights of my stay. She was brilliant! 💆♀️✨
The hotel is very clean and well looked after, and the food was lovely with plenty of variety.
There were just a couple of small negatives. I felt there could have been more vegetarian choices, although Raul was happy to help when asked. I also found the pillows a little hard, and I think the evening entertainment could be improved with some live music or live bands.
Overall, we had an amazing holiday and I would definitely recommend the Sandos Monaco. 9/10 from me! ❤️

Enjoyable stay with some issues that could be solved easily
I agree with the comments around the €3 per day to use a safe in the room is a bit of a rip off, All inclusive only gets you 2 different Cocktails . It’s all local spirits and if you want anything different you have to pay , Having to buy a cap and flip flops for the spa is poor . Food was decent with variety, Hotel was very clean rooms cleaned every day . Entertainment was average nothing great . The WIFI was poor it said you were connected but you could not get into apps etc . You have to get to the pool around 9 am to secure a bed as they go quickly ,
