Sandos Benidorm Suites

The lobby was fantastic and loved the games area. Suitable for pre teens and above! They also had a brilliant play area for the children (toddlers). Very inclusive! Bar staff- most of them were polite and respectful (as you have to be due to the fact it’s customer service). Every time I was waiting they would greet me in an appropriate manner. A few times when I went one or two bar staff in particular were very rude. Had a lack of customer service skills I felt like I was treated like dirt on their shoe. I did also question one of the staff once and said to them why are you being rude I understand it’s long hours but you always have to put on a fake face this is showing that you have a lack of willingness. Reception staff- one female was absolutely awful. I requested to speak to a manager as the incident was a management issue. She said “tell me what’s the issue I will sort my self.” I said how can you sort it out your self it needs to be done by someone who is management based as entry level staff members cannot deal with this. She said “only adults who are age 21 and over can speak to the managers.” This then proper annoyed me as I was shocked by the way I got treated by reception staff. So then the argument continued to proceed and she told me to go away and I’m probably a waste of time. The next day came and I spoke to another staff receptionist she was really nice and lovely. I’m not sure if she was a senior as she had a slightly different colour uniform to the First Lady. Anyway she then stated that the managers would come and speak to me. The next day came after that I said to the general manager are you the manager? She said yes I am how may I help you. I then proceeded to tell her the issue and then the reception manager came. There was only two managers overall the reception manager and general manager. They do need more management as it’s a big place! I complained about a family letting there kids ages 10+ (with no SEN) using the pool as a free toilet and also about the First Lady who was extremely rude. After that happened they said they would sort it out. Anyway the pooing in the pool kept happening I then went up to the reception manager and also told her that the lifeguard was scrolling on his phone not giving a flying thing about the pool. Honestly he was just sat there doom scrolling. I mean come on your a lifeguard you don’t sit there and just doom scroll on your phone. Obviously when I spoke to the RM other people saw and after my conversation with the RM loads of other people went over and complained.

Rooms- loved them! Felt like a second home to me. Medium size apartment rooms with a bedroom, living room, bathroom, mini kitchen and balcony. It just felt like a dream. I would go there again!

Food- highly recommended! I had a look at some other reviews prior to me going and a lot of them said the food wasn’t the greatest. I agree to disagree with them statements. As there was lots of options to choose from. Deserts they were lovely!

Entertainment boring, plain, dull. Same every day.

My first time and not last time in Benidorm.

Flights, airport transfers all like clockwork and arriving at the imposing looking Sandos Suites you craned your neck as it's so high. Checking in was flawless.

26 floors and I'm not keen on heights we get the 20th floor. Four lifts, 2 for the odd numbers and 2 for the even. By the end of the holiday I got used to the heights.

We paid extra for Select and it was the right thing to do. Real drinks, a cold room to escape the heat and Bali beds that no one used. It was like your private area, certainly outside.

Rooms are big and spacious. No thin walls. Didn't hear either side for the entire holiday.

The pool is just about big enough but there is too much chlorine. Trunks went yellow.

Sunbeds wise there are plenty till in would say 11.

The doors open at 845 to place your towels. There is no running it's all very civilised.

The entertainment through the day is excellent and the fight for a certificate for the darts, golf, ping pong etc.

The evening entertainment was at best patchy but let's not forget you've hours and hours of entertainment on your doorstep.

Food in general was good, catered really well for Gluten Free and maybe by the bed was getting samey.

What this hotel had was the most friendly people..from staff to the actual people staying. It was all very welcoming.

Overall, we had a fantastic holiday, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. My first visit to Benidorm certainly won't be my last.

We have just returned from our second stay at Sandos Benidorm Suites, and overall we’ve had another fantastic holiday.

Before we arrived, we emailed the hotel to ask if it would be possible to have a room on or around the 10th floor. We were really pleased that this request was accommodated, and we were allocated a room on the 10th floor, which was a great start.

Our only disappointment came during check-in. We arrived at around 11:50 pm, and the gentleman on reception suggested that we leave our suitcases in the luggage room and head straight to the bar before it closed. We got there at approximately 11:55 pm, only to be told the bar was already closed, despite it not being due to close until midnight. We hadn’t actually asked to store our luggage—it was suggested by reception—so it was a little frustrating to miss out on getting a drink after travelling. When I returned to reception and explained what had happened, the receptionist seemed quite annoyed and simply shook his head. It wasn’t the best first impression, although thankfully it turned out to be the only negative part of our stay.

The hotel itself is lovely, and one of the main reasons we returned. I don’t usually visit the same hotel twice, but Sandos Benidorm Suites is definitely an exception. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and kept spotlessly clean, as is the pool area. There was never any problem finding a sunbed, regardless of the time of day.

The food was excellent throughout our stay, with a huge amount of choice at every meal. There really is something for everyone. The restaurant staff were all fantastic, but one person who deserves a special mention is Denis. He is a real credit to the hotel—always smiling, incredibly friendly and genuinely personable with guests. He seemed to take the time to chat to people and make everyone feel welcome, and it was clear how hard he worked. All of the restaurant staff were excellent, but Denis is the one name we remembered because of the impression he made.

The staff are what make this hotel special. Every member of staff we came across was friendly, hardworking and helpful. One moment that really stood out involved the lifeguard. A young child tried to take a large lilo into the pool, which isn’t allowed. The lifeguard calmly explained the rule to both the child and the parents. Rather than simply saying no and walking away, he returned a minute later with some smaller inflatables that previous guests had left behind, which were allowed in the pool. It had nothing to do with us, but I thought it was a brilliant example of excellent customer service. I’ve stayed at hotels where lifeguards have been overly strict and almost seemed to enjoy telling people off, but this was handled with kindness, common sense and professionalism.

The bar staff also deserve a mention—they work incredibly hard while remaining friendly and welcoming throughout the day and evening.

We also booked one of the hotel’s excursions during our stay, and it was excellent. Everything was well organised, and we’d definitely recommend booking through the hotel.

Apart from the small mix-up on our arrival, I genuinely can’t think of anything I didn’t like. Sandos Benidorm Suites continues to be one of the best all-inclusive hotels we’ve stayed in, and it’s somewhere I’d happily recommend to anyone. We wouldn’t hesitate to return for a third visit.
