The RH Royal Hotel is a modern four-star with a real emphasis on style. The guests' rooms are a great example. With their contemporary fittings and colourful artwork, this is a grown-up hotel. That means there are no under-16s allowed, and it gives the RH Royal Hotel its supremely laidback feel.
Facilities are all designed to enhance your relaxation too. All twin rooms come with a spacious balcony, and many also give you free WiFi, as well as a mini bar, hairdryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, drink making facilities and safety deposit box.
The hotel pool is just made for lazing beside - only to be interrupted by occasional visits to the poolside bar to freshen up your drink. There are full gym facilities too, as well as sauna and solarium.

A wonderful relaxing week away
We've just returned from a really enjoyable trip here! Would absolutely go back here...
LOCATION The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the edge of the 'old town' and about 15 minutes to the 'new town'. Both are really easy to access from the hotel. The area at night is bustling but it's a good vibe. We found that when in our room (floor 5) we heard nothing during the night and slept really well. To get to some landmarks such as 'tapas alley', it is about a 15 minute walk in the old-town - be wary that you will be inaudated with menus waved in your face and them wanting to come to their restaurant. The famous 'fakes' outdoor market is 25 mins walk from the hotel at the other end of the old-town - worth a visit, but it gets very warm there as most are under tarpaulin!
ROOMS The hotel has recently undergone a renovation in the rooms and they're really nice with each room having it's own balcony (I think) - smoking is permitted on the balcony. The housekeeping team work really hard to keep your rooms clean and tidy, especially with the heat - I couldn't do it! Instead of a room key, you get a wristband with a fob on that controls the lift and access to your room - really handy if you have a habit of forgetting your keys!
RESTAURANT The food is 'buffet' style with different food every day - we stayed for 7 nights and each night there were plenty of different options. Seafood is popular in Benidorm, lots of those options, but there are meat and vegetarian options too. If you are gluten free, let the staff know and they will usually get to know you and what food you can and can't eat. We ate at the hotel most nights as all-inclusive and always found different things to mix it up.
POOL I think there are about 95 rooms with a decent sized pool for the number of people. It was never really 'full' perhaps 15-20 people at a maximum in the pool but it didn't feel crowded. The sunbeds all have labels on 'not to reserve' but this does happen...pool is open from 09.30 - 20.00 each day, so it is worth getting a bed early. We experienced only a few people who actually 'reserve' and then dissapeared for the day rather than actually use their beds for the day. There are umbrellas and tables for the sunbeds and seating/table area around the pool too. There is a small jacuzzi too, once again, you can always get time in there and is not always full.
ACTIVITIES The entertainment team work really hard to put activities on during the day, there is aqua gym, water polo, darts, axe throwing, table tennis...plenty! Javier and David are both really great guys, get to know the guests and can have a laugh with them. During the evening, there is usually bingo, a quiz or other type of game and then live music outside around the pool and the bar team will serve you at your tables outside. There is a small gym to use, with weights, bike, treadmill and cable machine, this can be used at any time too.
TIPS *We were told that during August, a lot of Spanish have their holidays too - there was quite a lot of them at the hotel, nothing wrong with it...a great bunch we got involved and played games with. *Depending on who you book your trip with - all inclusive can be 2 different things. Silver all-inclusive: all meals and non-branded drinks. Gold all-inclusive: all meals and branded drinks. We booked with TUI and the all-inclusive option gave us silver wristbands. You can upgrade at the hotel for about 20 euros per person, per day. Apparently if you book through Jet2, then you get Gold - but from what I saw, it wasn't made clear on their websites.

Little Gem in Benidorm.
We have had a wonderful week at the RH Royal in Benidorm. From check in to check out everything has been on point and wonderful.
The rooms were recently renovated and were very comfortable and functional with a great and welcomed ceiling fan and good AC. A great shower and comfy bed and a good balcony.
The food in the restaurant and the service was exceptional with foods from around the world well presented and very tasty.
The pool area was good with a nice pool and spa with also a good gym area. There was a good atmosphere and animation team getting the guests competing in many activities.
The location of the hotel was also perfect with the beach a 6 minute walk, the old town a 10 minute walk and the market a 20 minute walk.
Finally nothing was too much trouble for the reception staff in particular Roberto, Joaquin and Isabelle as well as all the others who made us feel special.
We will be returning here for sure.

no nasty surprises, this was very very good
Our longest holiday ever. 23 days, no less (starting 16th June).
Prices during the summer season, for the good hotels, have become quite scary. Probably more so because our trip over lapped with a good part of the world cup. Given the length and cost of this trip, we decided to play it safe and not to gamble with a new hotel. Wonderful decision as it turned out. We had stayed at the RH Royal before and therefore knew exactly what to expect.
The hotel is perfectly situated in the centro area. 5-10 minutes walk to the old town. 10-12 minutes walk to Levante Beach. 5-10 minutes walk to multiple bus stops.
The hotel is Adults Only, and so is quieter and easier to relax. It has a decent size pool, which is situated alongside the lounge and bar area. There is also an upper tier sunbathing area.
Again, very happy with our allocated room. Reasonable size room, good balcony (with table and 2 chairs), Tea/Coffee making facilities, Independent air conditioning, Free safe, Flat screen TV, Small fridge. Bathroom was a little small, but had everything you would expect. Our room cleaner was a guy called Jose, and frankly he was as good as anything we have previously encountered. It did not matter what time we left our room (anywhere between 8 am and 1.30 pm), it was immaculately cleaned when we got back. There were only 2 days (out of 23) there were cleaning issues and on both of these days he was not working.
Restaurant and food. Frankly the food is streets ahead of most of its Benidorm rivals, in all respects ( choice, preparation and quality). The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere, and staff are friendly.
Entertainment. During the day there were occasional organised pool games. In the evenings were was always some form of entertainment. There was considerable interest in the World Cup matches when Spain or England were involved, which were screened in the main lounge.
As always, reception were very helpful with everything.
Was it good value ?? Would we go again ?? For what we wanted, there was not a better hotel deal available at the time of booking. Going back for a week on the 10th August. Yes really !!!!

PERFECT
Just returned from a 10 night stay.. All the staff are a credit to the hotel and themselves, they are all so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food was the best we've ever had on holiday, the rooms were really nice all in all everything was perfect.. Great location, we've already booked to go back next year and can't wait to do it all again..

After an almost 2 decade long feat of flying my sister convinced me to go to this hotel to surprise our dear friend for her 50th. I understand now why this was our friends second time staying here. My sister did say while we there that I shouldn’t think that all all inclusive hotels are like this.
The location, food and drink, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, entertainment, space and general vibe were all 10/10
The Atmosphere in the hotel was everything I could have wished for and more. My sister and I arrived two days after our friends and were surprised at how well everyone seemed to know one and other and how genuinely friendly it was. Fast forward a couple of days and few games of water polo, shuffle board, connect 4, archery and aqua dance and it was easy to see how everyone got along so well.
It is all credit to the incredible staff who work very hard to make the atmosphere so friendly.
We were fortunate enough to be there to witness Spain qualify for the World Cup final and the atmosphere was simply electric, I’ll never forget the sound of the horns 🇪🇸 my sister and I couldn’t get over the fact that as soon as you shut the door from the balcony you couldn’t hear a thing yet the second you opened it you could sit out in your balcony and enjoy the party, it was perfect. We were so happy Spain went in to win 🇪🇸
Without a doubt we will be back.
