This recently renovated beach hotel is located next to the shopping and entertainment area known as Rincon de Loix, 400 metres from the beach and close to Mundomar and Aqualandia. In the area, there is a plethora of shops, restaurants, bars, and a bustling nightlife. A few metres away, guests will find public transportation links and, a 30-minute walk away, is the tourist centre. This hotel has a relaxing family atmosphere, making it ideal for a relaxing sunny holiday in Spain's world-famous Costa Blanca.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as a complimentary water park, an outdoor pool and a sauna. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The food is substandard, the queue for the sunbeds in the morning is laughable, people barging people out the way, old people running desperately to get their towels on, dart board directly next to sunbeds and the only showers around the pool (health and safety much?). Then, very rude English people queuing waiting to see play their turn on the darts game as in the photo provided, standing next our sunbeds knocking our towels off our sun beds and when you dare ask them to please stop knocking our towels off they very roundly start laying into you as if we had done something wrong. Maybe if they lost a few pounds they wouldn’t have to stand so close. They also smelled so bad of BO it almost made me sick.
I was worried after reading several reviews about people getting ill at the hotel however I emailed the Rosamar and got a very reassuring reply. When we arrived the first thing we saw was a member of the housekeeping team cleaning an outside hand rail. There were sanitising stations everywhere and I'm happy to say that we didn't get ill and I didn't see or hear about anyone else getting ill (which is what a lot of some reviews focussed on).
The hotel itself is exactly what we expected. We picked it because of the water park and my daughter absolutely loved spending her time in there. It is a great location a short walk from the beach with a great bar just across the road which is open way past when the bars close at the hotel.
Every single staff member we spoke to were incredibly polite, friendly and helpful. Special mention to Rodolfo on Reception. We arrived a few hours before check in started but he gave us our all inclusive wristbands and told us where we could store our bags which enabled us to use the pool and the facilities right away. He even came to find us later to let us know exactly when our room would be ready.
Other mentions to Melania, Mar and Idoia on the outside bar. All were very friendly and worked really hard to keep that very busy area clean.
However the highlight for my seven year old daughter was the Animation Team and their shows. Sante gets lots of reviews on here and deservedly so. But the whole team was great. We would particularly like to give a big shout out to MARIA! She was so kind and attentive to my daughter and made a really big impression. On our last night she came over to us for a chat and some photos and it was an absolute highlight of my daughter's visit.
All in all a great holiday. I'm glad we decided not to change hotels after reading a few bad reviews. We would definitely return to this hotel.
Good location in the new town of Benidorm. Shower was really good and air conditioning room worked well. Bed was comfy apart from shabby pillows.
We stayed in the family room which was spacious and appeared clean when we arrived. The longer we spent in the room though the more cleaning issues we found. The sofa bed was already made up which was great but when we put it up the floor was so dirty underneath. We did get bed made every day but no sheets changed at all which I’ve ne er had before. They usually get cha fed at least once. Pillows are terrible and need binned. Long tube type very flat. I requested more but never received them. There was a stink of sewage quite a lot coming from bathroom at different times of the day and also smelt this at entrance of games room.
Very busy hotel and pool as others have mentioned pool is too small for the amount of guests. It’s also pretty grimy and cloudy in comparison to the crystal clear pools of surrounding hotels looking which did but me off it.
Slides in small pool was good and lifeguards did try to keep all children safe. Liked the lounge chairs section in the small pool area.
Food was poor for all inclusive. The buffet areas were really grimy and plates a d glasses were always half washed. I had to search through plates for a clean one most times I dined. Extremely off putting. My husband and I both got sore throats and chests probably from the dirty cups and cutlery. We ended up eating out a lot. Deserts was very cheap quality and pretty nasty. The omelettes in morning were good as make to order. The staff do work very hard but just seem to be overstretched by management and it’s very telling in the quality of service and cleaning in the hotel. Really needs addressed.
We went for the all inclusive plus for the better drinks which was good but the reusable cups were horrendous.
Would I return no. It’s a nice enough hotel but the cleaning and quality of food served was a big let down.
It has so much potential to be a fabulous hotel.
Disappointing Experience – Poor Service, Inadequate Facilities, and Low Quality I am sharing this review following a very disappointing stay at Hotel Rosamar with a group of three adults and one child. Overall, the hotel fell far short of basic hospitality standards.
Verdict: Unless your only objective is securing a cheap all-inclusive package and you are willing to overlook poor service, inadequate facilities, and lack of hygiene, I do not recommend this hotel.
We stayed during the first week of August 2026 (31st July - 8th Aug) arriving around 6pm on the Friday. We paid £3,668 via On the Beach for a family of four all inclusive, transfers with return flights via Liverpool John Lennon airport for eight nights. I know it is peak season but we felt this was overpriced for the experience we had. Quick summary of our experience below.
Overall, the hotel was ok - the location is very close to the bars and lively part (we had to turn our daughter's head when walking past some of the shops with the explicit T-shirts!) it's about a 15 minute walk to the beach and 30 minutes to the Old Town. I'd say there are the above issues and it's not really the hotel's fault that they attract a certain type of customer as they try their best. We are planning to come back to Benidorm next year but we will stay in the Old Town next time near the more family friendly area.
