Very high standard staff, extremely nice Couldn’t ask for a better hotel tbh first class very clean nice food ❤️ Very high standard staff, extremely nice Couldn’t ask for a better hotel tbh first class very clean nice food ❤️
After staying here numerous times over the last 20 years, I have to say this time it was disappointing in a number of aspects. Our room had wallpaper peeling off, the bedroom carpet was making our feet black if walked on with bare feet, so were obviously dirty. TV didn't work for UK channels or music and just buffered every few minutes, reported the TV but this wasn't resolved. Some areas of the hotel have had cosmetic improvements but the ladies toilets off reception the locks didn't work in either cubicle and took nearly a week to get fixed. The area round the pool seemed to be infested with ants and we were regularly bitten. Half of the spa in the outdoor pool is still not working after a number of years. The bar area outside the hotel is a fully smoking area, so as non smokers we were regularly forced inside if a smoker sat by us. We also had an evening and early morning with no water. The new coffee machines in the restaurant, were inadequate and often needed maintenance from already busy staff, causing queues daily. Cracked and dirty crockery was also a daily occurrence.
On the plus side the staff are still excellent including those on the bar, reception and in the restaurant, not forgetting Victor by the pool. Communal areas in the hotel were well maintained and clean.
Not the hotels fault but the current roadworks for the underground carpark are very noisy with 2 pile drivers starting work at 8am Monday to Friday and work/noise continuing throughout the day.
I would rate this hotel 3 out of five . It wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t horrid. The food wasn’t great, it was the same type of food every night, the breakfast wasn’t great either. If you have a picky eater, I would not recommend.
I have seen many people praise the life guard, Victor, however he was always blowing the whistle at things that didn’t need the whistle. For an example: He blew the whistle many times at people playing with a ball in the pool, nothing was wrong with how they were playing, if they were hitting people with it even on accident or splashing I would understand but they were not at all? They were just passing it to eachother.
Constantly he was blowing the whistle, every two minutes a whistle. Several times I witnessed him tell one person to stop doing something but then watch another do the exact same thing, exact same place and not say anything. Lots of times he went over to parents to have a word about their children when they were doing nothing but playing around in the pool and BEING CHILDREN.
At the beginning of my holiday, sun beds were allowed to have a towel put on them, in the middle, suddenly you weren’t allowed to anymore. My guess is people were complaining, however, I don’t understand why as every single time I went down even at 2 pm there was always sunbeds available.
The rooms are tidy and nice, the cleaners are very nice and very helpful. Bathrooms are very clean and lovely! They have a tea station with a kettle in every room, as well as a big glass bottle you can refill using the water dispensers on every floor. The bathroom comes with a few soaps, some toothbrushes, some tissues and a few bottles of body milk. The walls are a bit thin but not so thin you can hear every word in the other room.
The staff are helpful, especially the reception! There was one lady in the bar area who I wasn’t fond of.
The indoor pool and the indoor jacuzzi is very clean, you have to buy a swim cap for 2 euros to go into the indoor pool which is open from 9:30 to 1:30 then 3:30 to a time I can’t remember what.
The transfer in a private taxi is 40 minutes, in the bus I’m not sure as I didn’t take that.
There is building work close to the hotel. Monday to Friday it starts from 8 am however sometimes it started earlier. If you have a room on the back or side of the hotel, it is very loud. Multiple times it woke us and it was impossible to ignore.
Just returned for the 7th time from this hotel. We were forewarned about the nearby roadworks and expected it to be noisier but unless you’re listening out for them, the disturbance is minimal. Our room was cleaned everyday at the same time and thus helped us to manage our time around lunch. We found this useful. The bar and restaurant staff are always pleasant and always happy to have a chat and make a fuss of our son who absolutely adores this place. In particular, Diego, Carlos, Racquel along with Claudia and Matthew in the restaurant. Reception staff are so helpful, the check-in procedure is seamless and if there’s anything that you want in terms of information and directions, they’re on it straight away. If you want to call a taxi you only have to ask. Finally, a special mention for the entertainment team. Andres, Angela and Laura. Thank you for your hard work and enthusiasm but most of all the way in which you include everyone and make each activity as fun filled as possible. Saving the best ‘till last. Victor. What can I say that hasn’t already been said? This bloke is always there to keep everyone safe and much more. He arranges your beds, your brollies, your towels and even carries your coffees. This man is a gem and regular visitors are so very fond of him for many different reasons. Our son couldn’t wait to see him and is already talking about next year even though we have only been home for 2 days! Many of the staff have watched our boy grow up and he has made lots of friends that he looks forward to seeing and entertaining. Thanks to every one of you and we will see you in August 2027.
11 of us came here for our family holiday. It was absolutely fantastic! They was always something for everyone to eat in the restaurant, rooms were clean and nice, not forgetting Victor around the pool he always went out of his way to help . Would definitely recommend.
