This hotel, featuring a neo-classical Roman-style terrace with a covered swimming pool, is very nicely located in the centre of the old town of Benidorm, just by L'Aigüera Park and the new town hall. The renowned beach of Levante can be found approximately 500 metres from the premises. Guest will also find in the surrounding area a variety of bars, restaurants, shops and entertainment sites. This hotel is the ideal location for those guests wishing to spend a nice holiday by the Mediterranean Sea.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
⚠️ TOURIST WARNING: DO NOT BOOK HOTEL MAGIC CRISTAL PARK 🛑 AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE — CHOOSE SAFETY OVER REGRET This is a critical warning to all travellers, especially families with children. Do not let cheap prices or promotional photos fool you. Booking a stay at Hotel Magic Cristal Park in Benidorm is a safety risk and a guarantee that your holiday will be ruined . 🪟 CHILD SAFETY HAZARDS & FILTH - Dangerous Windows: The windows do not lock or block properly. This is an extreme, terrifying falling hazard for young children. Unhealthy Environment: Rooms are uncomfortably small, suffocating, and blanketed in thick dust and dirt. 🔊 ZERO ACCOMMODATION INSULATION & NON-STOP NOISE Paper-thin walls.🔊The walls offer absolutely no soundproofing. You can hear every single word, footstep, and bathroom noise from neighbouring rooms. Sleepless Nights: Severe, relentless noise floods your room throughout the entire evening and late into the night. Getting a peaceful night of rest is physically impossible. 🛑 INFRASTRUCTURE CRUSH & QUEUE CHAOS- The Lift Trap: The hotel elevator system is completely broken down. Expect maddening, endless waits just to get to your room. Four Stages of Dining Hell: Eating here is a psychological test. You must survive a brutal four-queue system: Line up just to get past the restaurant entrance. Line up a second time to be assigned a table. Line up a third time to get your food. Line up a fourth time just to get a basic drink. Repetitive Slop: After surviving the lines, you are served the exact same bland food day after day. 👤 HOSTILITY TO ENGLISH TOURISTS -Open Discrimination: The staff are openly hostile, impatient, and deeply unfriendly to foreign visitors, particularly English speakers. You are treated like an inconvenience rather than a paying guest. 💼 SEVERE CONDEMNATION OF MANAGEMENT: To the Management of Hotel Magic Cristal Park: Your operations are a disgrace to Spanish hospitality. It is blindingly obvious to every guest who steps foot in your establishment that you only care about profit, not people. You are packing tourists into unsafe, unhygienic, and completely uninsulated rooms like cattle just to balance your balance sheet. Fix your lethal windows before a tragedy occurs. Invest in proper acoustic insulation so guests can sleep. Fix your broken lift infrastructure. Retrain your hostile staff. Stop cutting corners to line your pockets while your guests suffer.
To Management On The Beach UK: delete this hotel from the list. A huge release.
We stayed at Magic Cristal Park in Benidorm for 7 nights with our family and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Although this hotel is rated as a 3-star hotel, in our opinion the conditions are far below what we would expect even from a 1-star hotel. The entire hotel is extremely old and appears to have had very little investment or renovation over the years. The furniture is old, damaged, peeling and in several places covered in rust. We also noticed what appeared to be signs of mould. The bathroom had a terrible, strong smell which made it very unpleasant to use. The biggest problem for us was the food and hygiene in the restaurant. The food was often either undercooked or simply boiled, with very little flavour or seasoning. But much more concerning was the cleanliness of the plates and cutlery. We checked more than 20 plates before finding ones that we considered clean enough to use. Many of the plates were visibly dirty, including on the underside, with dirt, limescale and other residue. The cutlery was also dirty. This is a serious hygiene and food safety concern. We strongly believe that the relevant health authorities should inspect the restaurant because these conditions could potentially make guests seriously ill. We were staying for 7 nights, but on 3 of those days we decided to take our children into town to eat because we were genuinely concerned about them becoming ill from the hotel food. On our final day, things became even more frustrating. We waited around 30 minutes for someone to clean a table so that we could sit down and eat. We then waited another 30 minutes to find cutlery and eventually had to find it and clean it ourselves before we could use it. The only positive thing we can say is that the reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, this was not enough to compensate for the overall experience. The owner and management seriously need to invest in this hotel, especially in renovation, cleanliness, hygiene and food quality. Guests are paying for a holiday and should be able to expect basic standards of cleanliness and food safety. We definitely DO NOT recommend this hotel, especially for families with children. The hotel is extremely dated, there are serious cleanliness and hygiene issues and our experience with the food was so concerning that we ended up avoiding the hotel restaurant because we were afraid of getting sick. This hotel had a significant negative impact on our holiday and we will definitely not be returning.
Rooms are small, our balcony was tiny, plug socket was sparking and when we tried to unplug our charger from it, it fell off the wall. We were all inclusive and being British, they definitely cater more for the Spanish. Lifts are shocking. Bathroom was mouldy and the overall decor was very dated. Night entertainment was in Spanish also. If your British I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
I am currently on day 4 of my stay in Cristal park. Overall the hotel is nice, the reception is sort of fancy looking and the rooms are decently spacious, white sheets etc. The shower pressure in my room wasn’t great however the other room on our booking had normal shower pressure so it might have just been an issue with our room.
The pool is relatively small but it is sheltered from the sun. It’s okay for children but due to size I wouldn’t go for a couples retreat as you will be splashed and it’s hard to keep distance from other guests. There is a bar on this floor and you can get nuts and crisps for a snack during the day. It’s located on the roof of the hotel alongside sunbeds, however there isn’t that many. We haven’t struggled to find somewhere to sit yet though. There is also a kids splash park with slides located on floor 5 ideal for kids maybe aged baby to 7 or 8. But it is designed for younger children. Very few sunbeds around but again it’s pretty easy to get one.
The all inclusive buffet is pretty standard all though not a great amount of options for vegetarians or people who don’t eat meat. That being said I’ve always been able to find plenty that I can have. There’s lots of salad but I’ve not seen any nuggets. There is chips onion rings and pizza for fussy kids or even adults. There can sometimes be a bit of a queue but they manage it pretty well and it goes down quickly enough. If you show up at the time the buffet opens there will be a queue but again it goes down fairly quick. I do believe there is also a restaurant on the ground floor where you can have a sit down meal but we haven’t been yet so I can’t review that currently.
Location wise it’s literally a straight 10 minute walk down to the beach when turning left outside the hotel, and 15 minute walk to a slightly smaller beach which is very pretty. There is lots of shops up and down the roads near the hotel which remain open until very late in the evening. We found this ideal as shopping during the day is far too hot. There is also a taxi rank across the road when u turn left outside the hotel and walk down to the traffic lights (on the way to the beach). If you wait there taxis start pulling up. It works as a queue system along the side of the road. We paid around €8-10 to get to Aqua natura water park and €6 to get to the main party and bar strip in Benidorm carrer gerona. There is 2 supermarkets and a pharmacy within 30 seconds of the hotel and a lovely sushi restaurant just opposite as well. If you fail to find a taxi you can download uber and taxi around that way. They come very quickly and are very reasonable in price.
The evening entertainment for children is decent, however it is extremely loud in there which my family found a little hard to deal with. They do quizzes dance competitions and have music on for the kids to dance to. There is a seperate bar in this area for evening drinks.
The hotel has a cup deposit system. You can deposit €1 per cup at the reception. You get given one card per cup which you exchange at the pool bar for your first drink. Each time you want a new drink you bring your used cup with you which they then take away to wash and make you a drink in a fresh cup. You can also exchange the cups back for the cards anytime if you wish. I believe you can also pay €1 to keep the cup permanently or spend €5 for a hydoflask bottle of some sort.
The drinks are pretty decent. They make the cocktails by hand rather than them coming out of a dispenser which I thought was a nice touch. You can get wine, beer, cocktails, vodka, rum, cokes, fizzy lemon / orange, 7up ( hot drinks are only in the dining area )
I’ve seen people have also got pack ups from the hotel to take out with them for the day but I can’t rate these as we haven’t got them, but I know that option is there if desired. Overall I’d I’ve it around a 6/10. Very decent for a budget holiday.
WOW just on bus to airport after our stay at this tired 1 star hotel beware of EasyJet information as rooms do not look anything like advertised!! And the rooftop is definitely not as pictured ! The hotel is tired and very very tatty advertised as a 3 star definitely not do not de fooled ! Lifts do not work properly we paid to up grade to a bigger room and were told we could not have them as they were reserved for people who had more than two in their party x there are 2 buffet restaurants one was like a cattle market and the other one was quiet because the other guests didn’t walk down am extra flight of stairs on checking in we had to double check we were in the right place ! Staff were pleasant however when we complained did try to tell us we got what we paid for ! We had to contact easyJet to complain who actually contacted the hotel my friend persevered with the complaint and eventually after 3 hours we were given better rooms (can’t say more than that) and upgraded to premium exclusive which meant you could jump the lengthy bar queues, they also offered us a day at the sister hotel Magic Aqua Rock ! OMG needless to say we were in that one for 25 minutes and left was no better at all So all in all buyer beware of what you are booking we made the best of our holiday but will never be back to the awful Magic Crystal Park
