Flash hotel Benidorm

This hotel is filthy. The corridors have not seen a vacuum weeks. The cleaning of the rooms were substandard and things missed balconies dirty. A dirty plate that I was given chocolate was not removed until I took it down to reception. The lifts especially the big one was never cleaned the rail was so sticky my husbands shirt stuck to it. The sunbeds are dire and if you sat on them you sank to the floor with little hope of getting out. There are notices going to the pool about not reserving sunbeds and not smoking on sunbeds. People were smoking and just putting the ash and cigarettes on the floor not mention the dummy sucking vapours. 4 women saved 4 sunbeds and 2 chairs every day at 9 and when we left at around 2.30 they still had not come back to them The pool is not policed in any way no lifeguard or security and a so called 4 star hotel that does not supply pool towels really! There were youngish men in the pool throwing around a rugby ball and it was left to a guest to tell them to stop after they repeatedly hit some women on the head. Food you could usually find something but staff were miserable and slow to clear plates and lay tables. The extractors over the serving side were disgusting and thick with grease. The mens toillet did not have a lock on it off the reception area. It was an awful stay and not one I would ever repeat we stayed in the presidente in January that is 4 star. There is a complaint form in Spanish hotels that you can fill in and by law one copy stays with the hotel and the other goes to the local authority. I asked for this and was fobbed off by the guy behind reception saying he did not know where it was. First of all pretending he did not know where it was. About 4 days before we left someone had obviously cut them selves and had bled on the ramp going down to the pool bar. This blood was still there 4 days later when we left the hotel. To charge 5 euro if you want your tea and coffee replacing. I think this does not fit in with a 4 star rating. Think very carefully before you book everyone money is hard earned and this was my birthday as well.

Nice hotel but not the cheapest. You have to pay extra for the safe, the beach towel,you even have to pay an extra five euros per day if you want your complementary tea and coffee in the room. Two and a half euros for a small bottle of water with your dinner. An extra one euro for the glass with your drink. Everything here is a way of charging for everything. The rooms are OK but never had our cups or glasses washed, we are on day five now and not had clean bed linen. Normally these small things wouldn't bother me but when you pay over £1000 for one week I think it's a bit of a rip off.
