Bristol Hotel

We recently stayed at the Bristol Benidorm and had a fantastic experience overall. The location is perfect – just a short walk to the Old Town and less than two minutes from the beachfront, making it an ideal base for exploring Benidorm.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We stayed in Room 106 on the first floor, which was spacious and exactly what we had requested when booking, with a balcony overlooking the street. It was lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by.

The hotel was always clean, tidy and smelled fresh. The guests were also friendly, and it seemed to attract more Spanish visitors than English, which gave it a really authentic and relaxed atmosphere.

The only minor drawbacks were that the rooms aren't the most soundproof – we could occasionally hear chairs being scraped around in the room above us – but it wasn't enough to spoil our stay. The walk-in shower also struggled to drain when the water pressure was on full, meaning the water occasionally overflowed the small ledge and onto the bathroom floor. We also noticed a strange sewer smell in the corridor on a couple of occasions, which I assume drifted in from outside, as our room never had the same odour.

We booked bed and breakfast but only had breakfast once during our stay. There was an excellent selection of food, with plenty of hot and cold options, plus fresh juices, milk and coffee stations, so there was something for everyone.

Overall, we were really impressed with the Bristol Benidorm. The friendly staff, excellent location, spacious rooms and high standards of cleanliness made it a great place to stay. We're already looking at booking again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay within easy walking distance of both the Old Town and the beach.

I always use TripAdvisor before booking a holiday, as I find it gives a genuine reflection of what to expect, including both the good and bad, before spending my hard-earned money. This is actually the first review I’ve ever written, despite having travelled extensively over the years. I felt this hotel deserved the time to share our experience. Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The location is fantastic! After our first day, we quickly got to know the easiest routes to the beach and shops. It’s perfectly situated and not far from the taxi pick-up points. You can either take a lovely walk into the Old Town and explore the many restaurants, or easily grab some transport. We chose to walk and really enjoyed taking in the beautiful views along the way. Hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing! Our room was a great size, spotlessly clean, and very well looked after throughout our stay. The cleaners were always polite, friendly and welcoming. My girlfriend treated me to a birthday trip, and when we returned from a day at the beach, the hotel had left a lovely birthday note and a box of chocolates in our room. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a really nice personal touch. We had breakfast at the hotel a few times and were very impressed with the choice and quality. The only reason we didn’t eat breakfast there every day is simply because we enjoy exploring and finding different places to eat when we’re on holiday. This was absolutely no reflection on the hotel, as the breakfasts we did have were excellent. Staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The staff are amazing and really do make you feel at home. Everyone was friendly, polite and always willing to help. We never experienced any rudeness or poor service during our stay. The Beach 🏖️ The beach is only around a 10-minute walk away and is absolutely out of this world. It’s probably one of the best beaches I’ve ever visited, with soft golden sand and crystal-clear blue water. It was beautiful! The Best Part… We had such a fantastic stay at this hotel and an amazing holiday in Benidorm Old Town. We enjoyed it so much that as soon as we landed back in the UK, we rebooked the same hotel for another 7 days in August 2026 — just 8 weeks after our first trip! That probably says everything you need to know about how much we enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the entire team for a fantastic holiday and for making us feel so welcome. I stayed here from 2nd to the 9th of May for my 50th Birthday. Its a beautiful hotel but book direct for the best rooms. The staff were so helpful & put up with my terrible Spanish. When I said it was my birthdy I was given hugs and kisses. Very unexpected but very welcome. I was half board. The food was good. Im coeliac. They had a seperate area for coeliacs. The downside was I didn't find out until day 3 Coeliac dinners must be ordered in advance. The guests are mainly Spanish and the evening entertainment is Spanish Singers. I went out every night so it didn't bother me . Every Diner has a theme. The best was Medditerian. The Maitre D hugged me on my last. I had a wonderful stay.
