This beautiful beach hotel was designed exclusively for the relaxation and enjoyment of its guests. It enjoys a marvellous location on a hillside in the Rincon de Loix district, a quiet residential area of Benidorm. The hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens and is only 700 m from Levante beach. Public transportation links are at the hotel's doorstep and there is a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and pubs are to be found a mere 500 m away. This is a great place for a relaxing, sunny holiday.
First impressions of the hotel are good, albeit on a very steep hill that we was aware of. The receptionist didn't offer us any details about the hotel other than the fact that the lifts were behind him. Our room was on the 6th floor it was ok, the floors were grubby and the bathroom was very tired with mould on tiles and very swollen water damaged bathroom cupboard. The headboards of both beds were scratched and old. There was a small fridge in the room and a plastic chair. Our breakfast was included in our package the food was ok as long as you didn't want anything hot as it most definitely wasn't, my daughter had cold beans with her toast one morning despite us being one of the first guests to arrive down to breakfast! We ate mainly fruit and bread. We did pay €16 each for an evening meal which was once again ok but not hot plus we had to pay an extra €8 for 2 small bottles of sprite i think they were 200mls. The lifts very rarely came so we had to climb the very hot stairs which had dirt on them throughout our stay. The 2 adjacent rooms to us had groups of young men in them, one night they stayed awake until 6.30 am playing loud music, singing, shouting and smoking weed. The pool area was nice, the only drawbacks being the lack of umbrellas and sunloungers. We would not recommend this hotel.
Stayed here for five nights in July with my Mum and sister in a family room. Overall, we had a good stay, but there were a few issues. There was a mix-up when we checked in and we were given the wrong room number. We went all the way up in the tiny lift, only to find the room was already occupied, so we had to go back down and get the correct room number. Check-out was also quite stressful. We paid for a late check-out because we had a late flight, but the air con and our room cards stopped working at the normal check-out time. We had to go back and forth to reception several times and were locked out of our room for around 20 minutes. It took about 40 minutes of chasing before someone finally came up and sorted the air con, which was frustrating. The pool was nice, although it gets very deep quite quickly. Kids (probably under the age of 4) can use inflatables like donuts, but adults/older kids can only use the foam floats, which you can buy from the hotel shop. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms were a good size. The location is also good for the strip, although it is on quite a big hill, so something to keep in mind! The breakfast wasn’t really for me. I had it on the first day and didn’t bother again, but obviously everyone is different. Overall, I’d say you get what you pay for. There were definitely a few things that could have been better, but if you want the full Benidorm experience, this is definitely it.
From the moment we arrived there were already guests complaining about long and complicated check ins are. They were completely correct, the lady behind the desk disappeared with our passports for about 25 mins and didn’t reassure us when she would be back. Secondly, There was an understandably frustrated lady at reception who was a guest because of how poor and unhygienic the rooms were. Me and my partner could clearly see how unhelpful and unbothered the staff where, one member of staff called Alex was just trying not to laugh and patronising the lady by telling her to remain calm. This was all within 30 mins of being at the hotel. Hotel hygiene is poor and definitely not up to 4* standards. Firstly our room floor was filthy, with what felt like bits of sand and hair all over the floor. Especially underneath the beds. We had to look underneath them, as my partners watch had disappeared. Something to keep in mind. Marks were all over the walls, what looked like a blood stain on the side of the bed, mould in the shower and the bowel of the toilet had poo stains in the bottom. The actual hotel was gross, with stains and dust all in between the stair cases and steps. There was a big sticky purple stain on floor 1 which was there for days before it got cleaned. The toilets absolutely stunk every time i used them, may not be a fault of the hotel but could easily be fixed with a regular clean. Cleaners come in as they are knocking, or just don’t knock at all. No access to a do not disturb sign for the door. As i was getting changed at 4pm a cleaner just came in, without warning. Didn’t understand why a cleaner was coming in at that time anyways, due to this me and my partner were on edge in the room and had to get changed in the bathroom with the door closed just incase it happened again. We understand this can be a one off mistake but cleaners came in multiple times without any warning. Food was poor, looked under cooked and overall had a bad smell from the food court which lead into reception. I would recommend you avoid this hotel completely, such a huge disappointment and put a downer on our holiday. We will not be returning and would highly advise others not to. However, a huge credit to the life guards, security and pool bar staff which were lovely and made us feel welcome. Only reason why rated a 2* not a 1*. Much nicer places in benidorm to stay at for cheaper too. Management seriously needs to step up and meet higher expectations if they want to have satisfied guests in the future.
My husband and I just spent 9 nights here for our honeymoon. Benidorm East is NOT a 4 star hotel. As someone who travels often and stays in many hotels, I can confidently say that it is pushing 3 stars at best.
The hotel grounds are NOT secure. Many people who are not guests come to use the pool and take up the lounge chairs. A few men who weren't guests of the hotel were doing hard drugs at the tables above the pool infront of children, which resulted in a physical altercation and an arrest.
The elevators were the biggest issue. There are only 3 which have a maximum capacity of 4 people or 300kg each. One of the elevators was broken the entire time we were there. If you are planning on staying at this hotel, be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes to use the elevators, or be ready to climb upwards of 10 flights of stairs.
Our room was decent, despite the leak coming from the ceiling near the bathroom, and the faint smell of black mold. The bed was comfy, and the balcony had a great view, however, the bathroom was a total disaster. The sink was directly infront of the toilet, and was impossible to sit without your knees touching the sink vanity. The fake wood on the vanity was crumbling and created a gross mess. The caulking around the bathtub was disgusting. Very dirty, and we saw small tiny bugs crawling in and out of the caulking. The ceiling in the bathroom was gross and dusty with stains.
There is no room service at this hotel, and the food served in the cafeteria was mediocre at best.
The hotel itself was okay. We did see dog pee around the hotel which was not cleaned up, and again, it wasn't secure so anybody could come in and out of the building to use the amenities.
Definitely not worth the price and I strongly recommend finding a different hotel to stay at. We will not be returning.
We stayed 5 nights as a quick getaway for my wife’s birthday, so the outside pool was nice and clean, indoor pool large and deep swim caps had to be worn though. The gym had ac. But equipment was tired and in need of repair. So we where bed and breakfast and we went for it the first morning and never again no real choice just a very poor English breakfast scrambled egg looked like porridge. Went to the near by soul bar lovely breakfast cooked fresh each time. Our friends were there for evening meal and were not impressed. So to the room good size beds were comfortable. But hadn’t been cleaned in fact the room was only cleaned once and that’s because my wife basically grabbed a cleaner who was passing the door bedding wasn’t changed and we had to ask for towels every day. No tea making facilities in the room. The whole hotel is in need of a massive overhaul paint work, floor tiles cracked one lift out of action, lifts were small when we arrived my wife got in the lift with the cases and I had to use the stairs. Desk staff were helpful and spoke English but cleaners didn’t speak a word.it is at the top of a hill. But there is a free bus every 20 minutes to the beach which was helpful. If you’re looking for a cheap hotel you get what you pay for.
