This wonderful property is a stylish design hotel perfectly situated next to Arenal Beach with spectacular views over the sea and the emblematic rock Peñón de Ifach. The hotel is conveniently set in the centre of Calpe, only a few steps from restaurants, bars, shops and other entertaining venues. The airport can be reached within a 50-minute drive. The city combines the charm of a traditional fishing village with modern amenities. This is a wonderful place to start discovering Calpe and the Costa Blanca. The property features contemporary style rooms that will please all types of guests. They come with the essential amenities for the best and most comfortable experience.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a really lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday by the sea.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We stayed in both a sea-view room with a balcony and a street-view room with a balcony. Both rooms and bathrooms were a really good size, and both rooms also had a sofa. The sea-view room was bigger and had a beautiful view, a bath and separate shower, as well as a gift delivered in the evening (chocolates etc.). The street-view room had a partial sea-view and had just a shower. Both rooms also had a separate toilet room. The only improvement we would suggest for the rooms would be a little more drawer space, as there was only one small drawer.
Both balconies had two chairs, a table and a handy retractable washing line, which was a really useful touch. We also really appreciated the complimentary water and soft drinks in the fridge on arrival.
Breakfast was lovely, with a really good selection and a beautiful view. The breakfast staff were particularly friendly and attentive. There was fresh orange juice and a great range of coffee choices, which was a lovely touch.
The pool was a great temperature and a lovely place to relax. There was daily water aerobics and Zumba, but it was never intrusive. The instructors were friendly, happy and encouraging, while those who didn't want to join in were left completely undisturbed. It was also easy to get a sunbed. The hotel has a good system for stopping people reserving beds all day – warning notes are left on unattended towels and, if they remain, the towels are removed.
Overall, a really lovely and relaxing stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a chilled, peaceful holiday by the sea.
Towels are stripped off the sunbeds if you leave for 20 minutes. Ours were taken at allegedly 22 minutes (we argued dead on 20 minutes) by a jobs worth towel attendant and another couple had immediately moved onto them. The day before we had to wait for 90 minutes to get a sunbed despite some beds being unoccupied with just marking towels for all that time. Another time our towels were taken when we were sat 12 foot away having lunch-paying money into the hotel. This all caused unnecessary stress for our holiday. All around us angry guests were continually complaining to the towel attendant that their towels had been taken each day. Surely a better policy is needed to support the guests than this over zealous and frustrating approach. It would certainly deter me returning.
What a fantastic experience at this lovely hotel. The hotel was in a fabulous location overlooking the beach . The infinity pool was the best! The food was delicious with so much choice every day! Our room was cleaned thoroughly every day. We had some lovely little “bits and pieces” left for us when we arrived and water and drinks in the mini bar. I cannot fault it! Everyone was friendly. We were lucky enough to be there during a festival week so saw some lovely Spanish culture too! I highly recommend this hotel!!! ***** definitely a 5 star!
A beautiful clean hotel. Very up to date. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Food was out of this world.Beach club was so relaxing, plenty of activities to keep u busy
What a wonderful time we have had at this lovely hotel. We stayed in a double sea view room, and it was fantastic. The view towards the rock is incredible. Our 8th floor room (829) had sun loungers on the balcony, as well as 2 chairs and a little table. Sun all day, blazing hot! Too hot actually, but the room had the best air con I've experienced in any hotel. Not too loud at night and pleasantly able to maintain a set temperature.
Before arriving I emailed Daniela, the guest relations manager. She was EXCELLENT, and is a real credit to the hotel. I asked for a high floor room with an amazing view, and she really went above and beyond to try and secure this for us. It was totally appreciated and I am so grateful that you made our holiday special by giving us this beautiful room.
We ate breakfast each day downstairs, get the lift to -2, and we sat outside, so special to do this in good weather and we got to enjoy the warmth and gentle sea breeze straight away. I used the gym most days, and this is nicely kitted out. Top tip - if you like to use the spa I managed to get a week pass for a 96 euros, and used it each day for about 30 mins. Lovely!
Sun loungers around the pool. It was very busy!! However, there are some stairs by the side of the building that lead you up to the roof of the cafe area and above the Doree bar, and there are 3 large cabana style beds, it was bliss!! I felt like we'd stumbled across paradise, as no one hardly came up there. We let a few others guests into the 'secret' so... you're welcome! Go and find them.
Doree bar was beautiful to enjoy a drink at sunset. The area is actually so much better than I expected with lots of great restaurants. The old town and the area around the hotel. Sun loungers and umbrella on the beach cost 30 euros, a little pricey.
My fiancé brought his bike and cycled every day, he loved it.
You'll have a great holiday here! Enjoy
