The only adult property is located at the water's edge with direct access to the sea front promenade. Behind the hotel lies the old centre of Funchal, the well-known "old town". Its close relationship to the sea, the outstanding and exclusive views over the harbour where the cruise ships dock, its picturesque surroundings and the unique flavours of its cuisine result in genuine urban tranquillity. The hotel’s location is fantastic for both the actively inclined and those who would prefer to relax and listen to the breaking of waves. A congenial hotel offering 146 rooms, restaurant, bars with terrace, direct access to the promenade, outdoor pool, indoor pool, SPA, gym and parking, all in the heart of the city.
Pamper yourself with on-site massages and facials. If you're looking for recreational opportunities, you'll find an outdoor pool, an indoor pool and a sauna. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access and bike parking.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Excellent facility, location and staff! Jackpot at Madeira! Fantastic room with excellent amenities, a superb mattress and pillows — exactly what we needed!
A well run hotel in an excellent location in Professional and friendly staff. The food was excellent. In particular the evening buffet which included a range of beautifully presented food. All of which had been prepared to a very high standard. The gourmet evenings were also excellent. In all the experience at the hotel was so good we're returning again in a few weeks time.
Excellent place to stay. Friendly staff who are always ready to help you. Very well situated Hotel with easy access to the promenade and old town.
We had a fantastic week here. The food was excellent and the staff were really friendly. Everyone works really hard but they always have a smile for you. The location is excellent. I will definitely be back.
It is very friendly to first-time visitors to Madeira. The location is convenient, and there is a bus parking lot nearby. The hotel front desk provides clear explanations for check-in. It is suitable for both staying in the hotel and going out to have fun. There are many types of breakfast options, catering to people of all tastes. The drawback is that one needs to pay attention to the prevention of mosquitoes and ants in the room. I know that the problem of mosquitoes is quite common on the Madeira Island, but hotels at this price range should do a better job in this regard.
