Les Suites at The Cliff Bay

Our stays at Les Suites at the Cliff Bay in Madeira are nothing short of exceptional, and it has become our home away from home. We have visited many times over the years, returning almost annually, and each time we are once again blown away by the remarkable standard they set in every aspect. From the impeccable facilities to the outstanding food and the truly amazing service, this hotel never ceases to impress.

What sets Les Suites apart is that every single member of the team goes above and beyond anything you would expect from even the finest hotels. We are always made to feel like a top priority, never rushed or overlooked, and the atmosphere is delightfully calm – never too busy, always personal and welcoming. This dedication is why we continue to return time and time again.

The location is another highlight, perfectly central for exploring Funchal yet serene enough to feel like a peaceful retreat. As a very keen runner, I am especially grateful for the countless routes available right from the hotel – from scenic easy runs along the coast to challenging routes for more demanding training days.

And of course, the culinary experience here is second to none. A particular highlight is the Rose Garden restaurant, where every dish is crafted to perfection. Dining there is always a treat, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Roberto and all the team simply are fab :-)

Superb. Best hotel on the island with the added personal family touch. Rooms are spotless and equipped with very well designed features. Food at Avista is very good, especially if you combine it with a Prestige Package. I pre- noted that it was our wedding anniversary. The hotel provided free flowers and champagne and little individual touches on the dinner table. A suite with garden is well worth the little extra.
