A great holidays
We had a wonderful time during our stay in Allegro. The room was clean, modern and spaceful with a balcony, from where was a great view. The stuff was kind and helpful. Breakfast offered a variety of fresh food and beverages. Dinners were also delicious.
Just about a 4
This ugly hotel is on a hill, but then so is everything else in Madeira! We were given a friendly welcome at reception and 1 of our 2 rooms was ready to check in at 12, the other at 2. The room is tiny! So small that there is only room for 1 bedside table. We never sat on the tiny balcony as the view and surroundings were horrible. The shower is good, the towels are large & the hairdryer is excellent. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. The safe and air conditioning are included. 1 bottle of water was provided together with coffee and tea. The "wardrobe" space is bizarre! It is an open rail above the dressing table so not only can you not hang up anything long you can't then use the table either. Breakfast is fine, though the orange juice is not. The pool is nice and we always managed to get sunbeds. It is quite noisy with the surrounding building work. The gym was adequate. The rooftop bar is the highlight of the hotel, the view, staff, drinks and entertainment were all spot on. There are a couple of supermarkets close by and stop 19 for the red bus is just at the top of the hill. There are plenty of restaurants nearby but some you need to book in advance.

Great stay
Great stay. Views are incredible. The rooms are cleaned regularly and the hotel is spotless. Food is really good and very reasonably priced. The staff make it though - friendly, attentive and personable. Couldn't ask for more.

Extremely noisy due to hotel being build next door
My husband and i were very much looking forward 2 weeks relaxing by the pool. However, we were not told throughout the whole booking process that a new hotel was being built next door!! We booked with Jet2holidays and and at no point were we advised of this. As you can imagine our holiday was ruined which was so upsetting for us both!!
Fabulous hotel
It was our second stay in Allegro hotel and definitely not the last one. Great hotel with friendly staff, comfy, clean rooms with fabulous view. Great location, walking distance to Marina and other attractions. Delicious breakfast every morning, great selection of food and drinks from Lido bar. We are very happy with our stay.
