Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Overall excellent experience at this hotel for 11 nights. The customer service was excellent, our view from the room was brilliant, although the room was small, but very clean. The food, although not massive on choice, was very good quality. We really liked the location, yes it's a decent walk into Funchal, but there are some excellent restaurants, bars and lovely lido nearby. A couple of negatives (sorry, but the reasons I'm only going with 4*)... The shower in our room was a dribble, and the slightest movement of the lever between cold and scalding hot. There was also a nasty "drain" smell on occasion that wasn't nice. The wait for lifts was a slight pain, but not something that angered us. But the biggest negative for me was the constant drone of the AI generated cover album being played in the hotel and poolside...trust me, nobody wants to listen to it! It's adults only, we're happy with the quiet!
Overall very good,able to come and go without any problems,staff always on hand and very friendly.loke the fact no kids accepted as only adults brilliant.
Room was big enough but not enough storage for toiletries Or shoes .no where to dry anything only on the chairs outside Bed was really comfortable and we slept well considering we were by the street Food great only had breakfast Pool clean and no bed hogging but the sunbeds were really uncomfortable you wouldn't want to stay all day just an hour or two
Enjoyed our vacation great property as a base for exploring Madeira, located perfectly with very friendly and helpful staff and a hearty breakfast.
We stayed here in 2024 and absolutely loved it, so we were really looking forward to returning — and this stay was just as memorable.
From the friendly and welcoming staff to the superb food, everything was fantastic. Our room was cleaned to an exceptionally high standard every day, and the attention to detail was excellent.
The poolside menu was extensive without being overly complicated, with plenty of choice. The Allegro Burger in particular is absolutely to die for!
Breakfast was always delicious, with a huge range of options including cooked breakfast, continental choices, fresh breads, fruit and more. They also have an egg station, where you can have fresh fried eggs and omelettes cooked to order, which was a lovely addition.
The hotel was refurbished shortly before our previous stay two years ago, and there are now a few areas beginning to show some signs of wear. Nothing major or anything that affected our stay, but it is noticeable in places.
The rooftop bar, however, was just as stunning as we remembered it. It remains one of our favourite parts of the hotel, with the views making it the perfect place to relax with a drink. On our final night they had a local dance group in. This was fantastic and great to watch.
Another fantastic stay, and we’d happily return again.
