Friendly and well situated hotel.
Lovely hotel with very friendly and approachable staff. Excellent breakfast with a variety of choices. Rooms spacious and airy. Comfortable beds and lovely pool are, but could do with more sun beds.
Another wonderful stay at hotel allegro.
We have just returned from our holiday in maderia. We have stayed at the allegro on a number of occasions and it never disappointes, it is such a lovely, friendly hotel. The staff are amazing from management to the guys on the bar , and the cleaners every one is so personal and happy to talk to you. It feels like you are part of the family, the service is exceptional. The hotel its self is situated right in the heart of a great area for restaurants and as a base to explore the island and the city of funchal ( about 25 min walk down hill ! ). You are never to far from a nice place to eat or have a coffee. The pool area is very tranquil , and not over crowded like other hotels in the area. Never a problem getting a sun bed and you are not on top of each other. A nice place to relax after a day out exploring. The roof top bar is an absolute gem , the views are stunning and the drinks not bad either. Ideal for pre and post dinner drinks. Breakfasts is great with plenty of choice both hot and cold, with seating in side and out. There are lots of things about this hotel , that make us return to it , but I have to say that the staff are at the heart of why this is such a special place. I may sound a bit biased as we do love this hotel. But I would recommend it on its location alone which is ideal and not either to remote or up the side of a mountain!. And as previously mentioned plenty of good choices of restaurants within easy walking distance, both traditional and more exotic. We enjoyed our stay 100% and are looking forward to the next one. The perfect relaxing stay
The hotel was really nice not to big, the staff were so nice and pleasent always seemed happy, the pool again just perfect to relax by and quiet even when busy , entertainment was perfect just what we needed

Our favourite hotel in Madeira – we always enjoy coming back. We appreciate its excellent location close to the beach and the city centre, as well as its design, rooms, services, and highly professional staff. Over the years, we have noticed a positive development, and it is especially nice to see the very low staff turnover, which is a great sign in today’s world. We also value the well-equipped fitness centre, saunas, and swimming pool. In the evenings, we enjoy relaxing at the rooftop bar.
